14 HIMs showed up to follow YHC into the gloom for my VQ. We moseyed the “wrong way” over to the picnic shelter for a warmarama, where the Pax gently reminded YHC to not abruptly end workout cadences and actually shout the cadences. Most were done in sets of 18, to celebrate the 18 years I lived in Ohio before leaving home. We followed with 9 Burpees, to celebrate the 9 National Championships of The Ohio State University’s football team, and then moseyed down to the Pump House. Along the way, it was decided that as an homage to YHC’s…

Expecting a small # today due to the other events, YHC arrived with a 25 lb medicine ball and decided to experiment with a few different modalities. Here’s how it went: COP: Mosey to circle. Helicopter, plank-o-rama, copperhead squats, toe taps. Head to platform on Carillon and partner up. Partner 1 throws medicne ball off balcony and runs down to retrieve it while partner #3 does decline plank off the railing. 3x. Carillon platform 4 corners: 5 burpees, 10 hand release merkins, 15 plank jacks, 20 LBC. Round 1: run between corners. Rd 2: bear crawl between corners. Rd 3: lunge…

Eleven young bucks emerged from the gloom this Saturday morning, most expecting a starchy start to the weekend but no, at the last minute the Q was taken and green, cruciferous vegetables were the dish of the day. According to the deer tending to the community garden, this is what went down. COP: Helicopters, DQ’s, IW’s, Copperhead Squats, Ukrainian Soldiers, Dead Man Hang, the Merkin, LBC, all IC Mosey to the amphitheater and perform one burpee on each step going down then we head to the Ha’ Penny Stage. Partner up for three rounds of Touch-A-Tree – exercises were LBC,…

A lucky 13 RVA studs came out to find what a Bootleg Q had in store for them. However, YHC and the ghost flag had other plans. After acquiring both the RVA and SOJ ghostflag’s on my last 2 Q’s it was an honor to be back in front of the pack. YHC did not want to let the Ghost flags collect dust in hos garage like the prior holders, not naming names. According to the RVA Run club who were assembling in the adjacent lot here is what transpired. Mosey to the round about, very wet so move to…

According to the buck watching us in the Ampitheater, this is how things went down early Saturday morning. An FNG and F3 Princeton transplant joined 11 regulars discussing whether we have ever had a 6am start at 80 degrees, at least according to Sippy’s weather app. No confirmation on whether this was a paid app. Mosey to the Circle for a warm up of standard fare – introducing the transplant to the jazzercise and other differently named exercises. Up and down the ampitheater – up with increasing merkins; down with increasing squats, back up again with 5 dips per step.…

YHC missed the memo about the clown car to New Kent, as he arrived at Dogpile at 0550 to find nobody around except his 2.0s home from college. With potatoes warming in the oven, here’s what went down. Warm-a-rama – mosey to the amphitheater for Imperial Walkers, SSHs and Motivators The Thang – Doublemint takes the potato to the Ha’ Penny Stage. Finding no coupons, except for a small shard, we pivoted to Touch a Tree – Pax 1: coupon shard curls, Pax 2: air squats, Pax: 3 runner (Round 1: 6 trees, Round 2: 4 trees, Round 3: 2…

7 HIMS answered the bell nearly 9 days ago. YHC is just getting around to the back blast! Apologies Gentlemen! The following is what I recall. Mosey warm up on the way to no burpee lake, stopping often to perform copious amounts of various exercises. No Burpee lake: Run to each lightpole on inside to perform, 20 squats, 10 merkins, 5 WWII’s. The PAX determined there were 30 poles including those behind the brick house. Run back to flag stopping at certain points to perform strenuous exercises. YHC took us out in prayer! Again apologies for delay (Went on Vacay…

6 men sauntered forth in the latest edition of The Dogpile. Temperatures were 70 and sunny. According to the ducks on the pond, the following might have happened. Nancy Lopez led the COP, including Jazzercise. ‘Nough said. Mosey to Burpee Lake. 10 Merkins, 20 something, and 30 something at every light post. It’s not my Q, so who knows. Also, Pax counted variously 24, 27, 29, and 30 light posts. For a group that has trouble running in a single file line (“Native American run”) for more than 100 yards, this is about right. Mosey back to Park Ave. More…

15 men gathered for Dogpile Tryhard sent out a text earlier in the week that Slaughter (F3 Charlotte) was in town and going to be at Dogpile. A couple Pax members texted saying they were going o be out of town so YHC decided to grab the Q. Clock struck 0600 and we took off. It took all of 5 steps for YHC to feel the nagging pain in his knee. YHC knew of the issue but was hoping it would be better, but it wasn’t. The Pax was likely expecting a run-heavy Q but it was going to be…
