Whilst the masses slumber, assassins lurk in the shadows, ready to pounce with merkins, squats, and burpees. Under the cover of darkness, ninjas mosey about Tuckahoe ready to strike, leaving no trace behind but the pungent scent of piss and vinegar and a 4th F or two. Raiding and pillaging and violating unsuspecting driveways all while swinging big bells. Chuck Norris even checks under the bed for this faceless, nameless threat at night. The earliest of AOs has been a secret, unknown to many before now, birthed by Kubota one cold November morning, the time has finally arrived for the world to know, the First Watch lives.

YHC usually has a plan, today that plan was not to plan, well except a trip over to campus.  The uneven PAX of 5 made sure YHC had to think on the fly.  A quick glance at the map and one can actually see there’s a path from College over to Crenshaw.  Unsure if that was a private drive, YHC was informed it is the President’s.  Not to worry, YHC and ol’ Ron Crutcher go way back, he won’t mind.  He and the Lady Spiders Field Hockey team might however mind the big dump Honeydo took on their pristine artificial playing surface.  Anyway it was fun to see something new and YHC loves it when a plan without a plan comes together.

As AC/DC once sang that was a Whole Lotta Mosey, well close enough.  Kubota clocked over 3 miles.  The loop itself around was measured at about 2, but with plenty of running in the Dora and high knees 3 miles seems about right.  YHC successfully confused Offshore so much he thought the Kanawha tennis courts were part of some unknown baseball complex.  Apparently still dazed he took to doing his Monkey Humpers in oncoming traffic.  As he snapped out of it and avoided disaster, he joked that the headline would read “Local Man Dies Doing Monkey Humpers.”  YHC noted, “At least you’d die doing what you loved.”  Thanks for getting up extra early to see some sites.  Make it a great one.

This is a re-do of a Q YHC did at Circus Maximuns about a year ago. Last time, we started at 1 and worked our way up to 21, but we did not finish because of time. This time, YHC shortened up the COP and we started at 21 and worked our way down. We finished on time. Great job, EF Hutton and Offshore! Enjoyed the early morning with you.

    Have a great day!

  • “SLACK” Works

Thanks to the F3RVA SLACK App, YHC was not alone this morning. With a few “Workout with no Name” Regulars hitting other AO’s for the Winter Tour, YHC thought he may be solo this morning. Yesterday, HoneyDo, Wojo and EF Hutton posted on the Tuckahoe channel of the Slack app to let YHC know that they were not going to be at the Early workout this morning. Well, never fear, Lockjaw and Handshake saw the messages on SLACK and decided to not let YHC be alone this morning. Thank You! NMS:

Great work this morning, Men! Way to post right after having a bout of bronchitis, Handshake. Lockjaw and YHC haven’t crossed paths in a LONG time, so it was nice to see him in the gloom again. Way to post again at 5am, Sandy. Hope you become a regular.

It’s funny how little things work out. YHC was planning on going to workout in the UR amphitheater this morning which requires a 1 mile run to and from. After Handshake pulled in, he told YHC about the bronchitis and that he hoped there would not be much running. YHC changes his mind about the amphitheater to accommodate a Bronchial Handshake. Instead we did COP in our usual spot. Lockjaw was a couple minutes late. If we had run to the amphitheater, Lockjaw would have never found us. It all worked out.

Thanks for joining YHC this morning, Gents, and have a great day!

Nothing better than starting your day at 0530, except maybe starting your day at 0500, am I right?  With each passing week the small but loyal faithful find new tricks and ways to expand and challenge this little-known AO.  Saabski’s driveway was left untainted this week, but the PAX did demonstrate Monkey Humpers for the paper carrier.  YHC has a question, does an AO require a name to make it onto the Winter Tour?  Asking for a friend.
