  • A Post March Madness OG

8 stalwarts posted to NoToll this morning (2 extra early for some Broga) and most knew exactly what was in store…perhaps others stayed in the fartsack or traveled to a different Nano region to avoid it – only they know.

The 8 of us crushed an Old Glory and are all better off for it.

    Well done men!

    Announcements – see slack

    Prayers for Wildcat and Dinky.

    No More Gumbo for You!

  • Broga for Two

YHC and Last Call arrived early at No Toll for a little pre-game stretch. We stretched and commiserated with one another about the pain of raising teenage boys. Great hanging out with Last Call.

Hope more will join post spring break.

  • Eye of the Mericane

11 March Madness bracket busters joined forces on the courts of No Toll for a murderous maraud.

Warmarama: SSH, DQs, Susan Summers, Freddie M., Diamond Merkins.

The Thang: Eye of the Hurricane South, East, Midwest, and West Corners of the double ball court met in the middle for 10 WWIIs then dispersed OYO for 50 American Hammers, Freddie Mercuries, Scrunchy Frogs, and Flutters.

Reconvene for Eye of the Mericane with 10 burpees then back to various corners for OYO 25 Diamond Merkins, Werkins, CDD, and Hand Release Merkins.

Triple Check with Raise the roofs, and Lt. Dans. Timer does suicides or murderous marauds whatever the pc way of calling that out is.

With arms and abs sufficiently exhausted, what better than to try and play 10 min. of basketball on this 70degree and sunny morn. Score was 4 to 2. YHC is glad no one got hurt.

This tournament has been a crazy reminder of what can be accomplished with strong leadership. It doesn’t always take the most capable or the biggest budget to make an effective team. We lead this together, with vigor, outside.

  • Tour de Toll

5 noble Warrior took on the gauntlet that No Toll had to offer. For the onlooking Mac members it may have gone something like this:

Warmarama (waiting for Dealer): SSH, Diamond Merkin, Alt cross leg LBC, Wide Merkin

Tennis court lap High knees, butt kickers, Step Overs.

Squat ladder on the parking lot: start broad jump 2 spots then ascending squats every two spaces 2, 4, 6, 8 – 20

4 Corners on soccer field 10 merkins, 20 WWII, 30 CDD, 40 SSH

Mosey to entrance to the Mac, Hoe downs in cadence, Dirty hook up in cadence. Invite paying club members to join F3RVA.

Run to Johnston Willis (dips on curb in cadence) 20

Find pickle ball court (Tour de merkin and and ab excercise)

Hansel and Grettle back to the playground for a little curb crawl indigenous people style.

    Numbers, names, COT.

YHC Has really been thinking about what the word efficiency means. Take what you have and use it to the best of its ability. That goes for this a AO as well as the our actions in our daily lives. We took a tour of this AO and got to see all that it has to offer. YHC is grateful to rub shoulders with four noble warriors who laid footsteps across the paths of No Toll this AM.

  • 4 Laps and 4 Burpees.

YHC grabbed the No Toll Q a few weeks ago thinking it would be fun to do something related to the upcoming March Madness tournament, but the cold temps and not wanting to step on Splinters toes led to an audible and the birth of 4 Laps/4 Burpees. Here’s how it went down for the 14 HIMs that showed up to No Toll –

Warm-a-Rama: SSH, Helicopters, Dead Man Hang, Copper Head Squats, Ukrainian Soldiers, Merkins, LBC’s.

Thang 1: 4 Laps/4 burpees – partner up. While partner 1 runs around the parking lot, partner 2 completes an exercise. Complete a total of 4 laps, then 4 burpees and hit the second exercise. YHC called out exercises as we went so there was no break in the action. Rosie and Hardywood set a mighty pace for the rest of the PAX. Exercises completed: WWII’s, American Hammers, Squats, Lunges.

Mozey to the field for a Triple Check.

Thang 2: Triple Check – Partner 1 run back and forth across the field, Partner 2 – Dips, Partner 3 – Incline Merkins.

    Mozey to the courts

Thang 3: Suicides, 3 rounds. Run a suicide and then complete 6 burpees.

Thang 4: Circle up…real tight like…for pass the pill.

    • Hold six inches and pass the speaker around the circle forwards and backwards.
    • Hold plank and pass the speaker around the circle forwards and backwards

    Time was called.

We were grateful to welcome FNG – More Cowbell (Robert) to the PAX today. He had a fever for a bootcamp workout and the only cure was More Cowbell. That’s the truth!

    Announcements:

    • Doublemint is looking for volunteers to help push wheelchairs on April 18th for a 5k. Sounds like a great event.
    • Oyster’s paying lunch Wong’s Tacos.
    • Check Slack for details.

Great workout today men. We kept moving, pushed ourselves and had a great time. Lots of good laughs and the mumble chatter was on point. Not quite as on point as the YHC’s cadence, but close.

This was a banger of a workout. Thanks for letting me lead and getting after it today. Have a great day.

  • Immaculate Conception

Six timely gents, including one traveler from the south, heeded the call of Machismos watch and took off to parts less traveled. A lone warrior ventured in search and upon his travels, found this tale was told.

PAX traveled off campus, across Robious into Greenfield Community to see the latest happenings. Circle up at Granada and Woodmont for welcome, disclaimer and warmups that included Invisible Jumprope, DQ’s, Jazzercise, Copperhead Squats (with hissing) among others. Everyone seems warm, lets get it on….

    THE THANG:

Partner up for Love Hill on Flat Ground. 1 man runs while the other does moving exercises that included Bear Crawls, Lunges and Broad Jump Burpees. Finish up at Neptune Dr. Short Mosey over to the lush fields of Greenfield.

DORA of Love: Partner up again. 100 Pickle Pounders, 200 Squats, 300 Flutters (2 count). Partner ventures out to find 3 trees and returns, no repeatos.

Back out onto Greenfield for Brocode Lindsay. Start with 30 WWII’s and 10 Carolina Drydocks. Travel around the block as a group, stopping at various intersections until complete 10 WWII’s and 30 Drydocks. Avoid the spikey grass, heavy traffic and numerous onlookers staring out their houses. Finish up at Woodmont and Rockledge Rd.

Burpee Drive BTTF: Travel along Woodmont stopping at vehicles along the way. SUV = 1 burpee, Car = 1 HR Merkin, Truck = 1 Jump Squat. Double the exercise if vehicle is parked on the road or passes the PAX along the way. School Bus = 1 WWII.

BTTF to find the lone PAX member returning from a solo for quick Mary of American Hammers and APD’s.

Names, Numbers, Prayers, Announcements. YHC took us out

    Announcements:

SOJ Social this Friday March 10th. 5.30 @ Diamond Billiards. Try to win Rosie’s money at 8-ball.

Good luck to DTH and his Family as they spread the good word and good medicine to those living in Papa New Guinea. Safe Travels.

    NMS:

Good to have a traveler, Marta, join the group from Charlotte as he visits F3RVA for a quantitative physics convention. This led to intense mumble chatter throughout the beatdown. With smaller numbers due to various reasons, it was good to venture off campus and see a new territory to explore. Machismo lost his Pickle Pounder virginity on those plush green fields of Greenfield park. Neighborhood was quite busy this morning but led to some good laughs and entertaining discussion. Always good to spend the morning with you gents.

  • No Gumbo or Old Glory

10, no 11, wait, make it 12 early risers arrived at NoToll in anticipation of a Gumbo Q and high probablility of Old Glory but got a substitute instead. The Q was open to suggestions all morning long, main accommodation – stay dry. At 0530 slide over to the bball courts for a warm-up with some random numbers thrown in. Again, the numbers mean nothing, until they do. Now 12 – that’s a magic number when it comes to the number of PAX – partners, triple check, Quad-check, so many options.

We stayed on the bball courts all morning with a variation of suicides/lines – Doracide, Burpeecide, Triple Check, Beasticide. A mini Old Glory thrown in the middle of everything. Side note – even 10 minutes of a mini Old Glory on the bball courts would be brutal. Close out with some Mary

Are GP doctors really needed? Getting moms involved in the conversation, ok? The party did not stop with House Party and Tea Party both on board.

SOJ info and new dates coming soon. See Slack

DTH final Qs before his Mission Trip – Forge and RockNRoll

  • Welcome to the Tea Party

    Warmerama:

Aptly 11 Pax including one long bearded FNG joined for a Machismo number 11 inspired bro fest. It went a little something like this; SSH of varying cadence, Abe Vigoda, Don Quixote, American Hammers, Imperials Walkers.

11s between toll gates Dips, Incline Merkins.

Eye of the the Hurricane (thanks Mister Rodgers) 5-burpee center on the pavilion with 50 SSH, 50 Air Presses, 50 2-Count revenge of the imperial walkers, 50 American Hammers.

11s again from midfield where some Lunging Lt. Dans made it back to the pavilion for Merkins (yes Ricky Tea Party those are push-ups).

A short bear crawl march ensued with a burpee cherry back towards the flag. Crab Walk, Walk Carb and we were out with a minute of Merkin Murder.

Announcements: Oysters buying lunch at Brick House this Thursday. Also Diamond Billiards on Friday Rosie leading the charge.

Welcome to the party gentlemen. YHC got a good roll of sweat going to wash away the lidocaine patch. It was all worth it to welcome a new Pax member with 4 girls, his own business, and long beard. Get those pinkies high and look out for Tea Party. The Pax also righted a porta-john this morning so feel free to call him by his initials TP. Just don’t think his name was inspired by some revolutionary northerners, it all starts with sponge cakes gentlemen. We are better together in cadence or not.

NMS:  Sweethearts all, thanks for coming out this morning. Nothing like getting a “Hell Yes!” when posing the question “Will you be mine?” As mentioned, YHC had a fun time with the M coming up with that Q – she’s a musical genius, and like Greenbow says, the marriage that plans Q’s together, stays together! Haha, um yes that playlist is gonna be on repeat tonight. Hope you all get lucky tonight! (Though good luck working those hips after this AM!) SYITG, DTH

Mosey to back parking lot for COP:

SSHs, Imperial Walkers, DQs, Ukrainian Soldiers, LBCs, Flutter Kicks

Prayer request for a friend of DTHs M who received a terminal cancer diagnosis

    NMS:

Maybe it’s just me, but when YHC started posting for F3 back in the day, the beast made a more regular appearance. Always a hit for the PAX, YHC decided to unleash the beast this morning. Come to find out, this was Dealer’s first beast and apparently it did not disappoint. Glad he was able to finally get the experience.

Oh yeah…and happy birthday Don Draper!

    Peace…I’m out!
