No Q on the sheet today. Most runners ran the serpentine route, bikers biked, good cardio was had by all.
Make a good one guys.
11 two-leggers and one two-wheeler (yeah, RAMM Gears, we see you!) braved the heavy air and avoided the flooding on Groooooove to take in the ever-challenging routes that are an everyday part of the RAMM. Conditions were ever-constant at 70 and sunny. According to the woman reading her phone while driving and turning and nearly running over Bodo’s (VA Plate: 1 MOBJAK), the following likely happened:
Route: Commonwealth. 45 minutes of Commonwealth. If you are not on Commonwealth, you have made a wrong turn.
Marketing Distraction (the PAX saw through this): run a giant suicide on Commonwealth. Grove to Franklin to Grove to Wythe to Grove to Cutshaw to Grove (something like 4 miles). Repeat Grove to Franklin one more time (5) or two more times (6).
Numbers, names, Marv was kind enough to take us out.
Announcements and Prayer Requests:
Ukraine. We are fortunate in the US that it is unlikely we will ever wake up to face the historical wrath of an autocrat with no moral limitations who runs a neighboring country with a large military and nuclear weapons. Ukraine does not have that luxury. Prayers for all of those who stand against aggression and wanton destruction, and further prayers for those whose lives are endangered as a result.
Our pals are running this morning. Bro code. Not the West End, once-a-month bro-code. This is the it’s-only-two-hills-in-the-Grand-Canyon Bro Code. Good luck, fellas. The PAX are pulling for you.
NMS:
The PAX clearly, universally, and emphatically appreciated the simplicity of today’s route. Inspired by our “it’s only two hills” brethren, today’s route strove for simplicity: no hills, and only 3 turns, all 180 degrees. And, ever steadfast in their inquisitiveness, some sought to clarify, while others quickly realized that it was really just 45 minutes on Commonwealth. Nothing gets past the PAX.
UpChuck spits the bit.
A gaggle of runners and a resurgence of bikers convened at RAMM for some running and cycling. No one had signed up so YHC quickly plotted a simple route. Only 3 turns, yet Hitchhiker somehow asked more questions than there were turns. Classic Fan route today.
The Route
Numbers, names, swarming by cyclists before YHC took us out.

Today, post run/cycle, we reminisced with stories of a former PAX member. While not a regular and not recent, he always had a way of bringing some excitement to the group. Prayers for all of our PAX that are going through difficulty, current or former, that they find the necessary peace to carry them forward.
Prayers also go out to TYA, Shakedown, and the rest of the crew heading to the Grand Canyon for their race next week. Go get it!
My thanks for the day go to Faceplant and Marv for the thought provoking social discussion this morning.
Spiders (and Rams) still playing! Cheer for your local teams!
Splinter out.
It’s spring already? Off we went to Scott’s Addition via a passage down Commonwealth to Monument to Roseneath. 4s hang a right at The Veil on Clay, right on McTavish, Tilden to Kennsington to Patterson, to Commonwealth to the AO.
5s and 6s continue on Roseneath and a right on Norfolk, and a right on Blvd. 5s bring it home on Kennsington to Patterson to Commonwealth. 6s head down to Byrd Park, a right on Shepard to Grove and home.
Upchuck took us out.

Great conversation today with the pack YHC was running with. It makes the miles fly by. Hitch is looking for a solid beverage to help him with his break between semesters. If you have a recommendation, update the comments to help with his #DayDrinking.
A new layer of Shakedown’s psyche was unveiled today as he mixed up Cradle Robber with Grave Robber. Let’s unpack that sometime.
Safe travels to many Pax who will be on the road over the holidays. Stay safe, return soon.
HDHH next week to celebrate the holidays and all the Pax birthdays. YHC will send a pre-blast soon.
Nine lunar zealots plus two in search of blinking red lights convened via multiple parking spots for a variation of an oldie. Most everyone listened and followed the instructions that started with East on Grove:

I am sitting here in the early am, unable to sleep, trying to think of something witty to write as part of a backblast.
As I began to write this, I was reminded of Bone Thugs announcement post run today. So I fired up SoundCloud and started listening to his story. The typing stopped and I just sat and listened… In the dark… I felt like he was in the room with me telling his story. Nothing I can write would even come close to the power of his words.
Sit back and listen PAX. It’ll be the best hour you spend this year.
10 Pax launched at various times, with various distances, and from multiple locations; but they all converged at the end. Routes varied, but here is one used by the 530 crowd.
West on Grove, right on Libbie, right on Patterson, right on Malvern, right on Grove. aka the Zoolander route.
YHC took us out.
While everyone ran alone or in pairs, it was great to converge at the end to catch up and some levity (as always). YHC’s 2.0 enjoyed the run today and we hope to see him back out soon.
A dozen plus additional bikers out on the road arrived for this week’s installment. Trying to find visual relief from the stadium lights, the Pax assembled in the shadows of the trees prior to launch.
East on Grove and north on Lafayette, and east on Monument. 4s turn right on Sheppard, 5s on Strawberry, and 6s on Lombardy. All pick up Hanover for the western return, jumping over to Grove at Thompson.
Bodos took us out.
Congratulations to Pigskin for a successful Fleed to Bleed. Well done!
We ran around Mary. Watch the traffic circles.
A dozen tolerated the resurgence of humidity for a stroll down the road. Grove to Woodlawn to Leonard to Wisteria to Patterson. West on Patterson turning on Maple for 4s, 5s go to Chanticler and then back to Maple, and 6s went all the way to Three Chopt and back to Maple. Maple to Grove to home.
Wheelie took us out.
Moleskin: Once again TYA is a fashion pioneer.
