To ring in my 1 year of F3, I brought back my 1st workout at The Alamo and used Vagabond’s workout he used. This was so great because Swoop pulled me into F3 by saying “hardly any running” and we did 3.5 miles that first day. But I did it… and that showed me through the power of F3 that doing hard things only makes you harder ; )… Iron sharpens iron. Warmaroma: SSH, Imp. Walkers, Dead Man Hang C,R,L, Arm Circles. Mosey to the modern home section and partner up for a Dora. P1 runs down to the cul…

17 HIMs came out to workout and help YHC celebrate his one year F3 anniversary! Shortly after joining F3, I read The Comfort Crisis and became inspired to ruck, do GORuck events and take on challenges I had not previously in life. I listen to the authors Two Percent podcast and have incorporated some of his workouts into F3 Qs I’ve been thinking about what workout I wanted to do for my one year, and I hadn’t landed on anything, but then this week the head of F3 joined Michael Easter on his podcast to talk about what F3 is.…

10 HIMs embraced the chilly morning to get their week off to a great start. After a quick warmarama, the PAX was off to tour the neighborhood of The Alamo. The Old Hundred Running through the hood, the PAX stopped at 9 cul de sacs. At some of the stops, we tried to figure out if it was Wildcat or the sewer that was making us choke. Cul de sack 1: 100 LBCs, Cul de sac 2: 90 SSH, Cul de sac 3: 80calf raises , Cul de sac 4: 70 shoulder taps, Cul de sac 5: 60 monkey humpers,…

Seven foolishly brave souls stepped into the gloom, fully prepared for battle against the cold, snow, and ice. Then Crab Grass showed up in nothing but a single layer and shorts. In a moment of sheer peer pressure—or questionable judgment—we all stripped down to match. Because if one suffers, we all suffer, except most of us had to keep our pants on. With the cold biting at exposed skin, we started with some light stretching (which felt useless in this weather), then took off toward New Market Village, determined to hit every cul-de-sac it had to offer. And boy, did…

The gloom hit different this morning. 22 degrees, snow-covered ice beneath our feet, and five mildly intelligent men who thought rucking through it was a good idea. We met at the AO known as Timberwolf, an area that—like its namesake—has no mercy. Rucks were strapped, headlamps flicked on (at least mine did), and with a deep breath (or maybe a regretful sigh), we stepped into the frozen unknown. From the very first step, it was clear that this wasn’t just a ruck; it was a battle against physics. Every footfall required precision, every shift in weight a calculated risk. The…

8 HIMs shook off their Superbowl evening to have a great start to their week. #Farts for the folks who ghosted their Monday morning. Here’s what went down. Quick loop around the streets and back to the flag. DMH, SSH, Ukrainian soldiers, arm circles, and merkins into a plank hold. COP 1: 11’s with jump squats and monkey humpers. The twist was broad jump burpees to point one and bear crawl back. COP 2: Into the tennis courts for the YHC favorite 4 corners, lady of the night style. Corner 1 windshield wipers 10 rep, Corner 2 double count American…

10 grown-boys ran around the neighborhood and played on a playground today at The Alamo. The PAX also learned that Cookie moans just as much on a massage table as he does during stretching. Too soon for Justin Tucker jokes?? Here’s what went down today… WARMARAMA – Moseyed to the other end of the horseshoe. Gave the mission and stretched. Moseyed down to the tunnel… COP #1 – Triple Check Pacer: Run through the tunnel, up the stairs and back Exercise #1 – Wall Sit Exercise #2 – Plank COP #2 – Mixed-up mosey on the way to “Rudy’s playground”…

When no Q signed up, the PAX split the responsibilities three ways and embraced the chaos like true HIMs. • Hermie kicked us off with a solid warm-up: Ukrainian Soldiers, Imperial Walkers, Helicopters, and some much-needed stretches. With the muscles loose and the PAX ready, Hermie passed the baton to… • Tsaziki, who brought the pain with 11’s—alternating Squats and Merkins with transition runs up the hill (and not just a little hill—we’re talking all the way up the hill). Legs were smoked, lungs were gasping, and then Ponch stepped in. • Ponch took over with a relentless shoulder circuit:…
