  • Kangaroo Court

14 troopers (including four 2.0s) landed at The Creek and went to work this morning…

Mosey around the church building and circle up.

    COP – All IC

30 SSHs, 10 merkins, 20 copperhead squats, 10 merkins, 15 crab cakes, 10 merkins, 20 crab cakes, 10 don quixotes, 10 merkins, arm circles, 10 merkins

Mosey to the corner of the church building.

4 Corners – Bear crawl the length of the church building, 10 burpees, run to next corner, 20 two-count mountain climbers, run backwards to next corner, 30 heels to heaven, crab crawl the length of the church building, 40 LBCs.

4 Corners – Lunge the length of the church building, 10 burpees, run to next corner, 20 two-count mountain climbers, run backwards to next corner, 30 heels to heaven, lunge the length of the church building, 40 LBCs.

    Mosey to the flag

Modified Ring of Fire – everyone plank, one person leaped over each member of the PAX, each person did 5 merkins after they were leaped (like a KANGAROO) over… continue around the whole circles.

20 two-counter american hammers, 20 flutter kicks, superman.

Numberama, Namerama, Tea Party took us out.

    Moleskin

YHC had some unanticipated delays and barely showed up on time. Opus and YHC rolled into the parking lot at 5:29 am and saw Spit eyeing his watch.

The PAX aggressively tackled the pair of Four Corners exercises. The highlight of the morning was the Ring of Fire where everyone had a turn with leaping over all the others around the circle. Mudface made it particularly difficult for us to leap over him. He tried to flip his 2.0s when they tried to leap him. Tea Party showed us how to do it though when he jumped like a KANGAROO all around the circle. Very impressive.

Thanks for letting me Q another ridiculously fun workout!

    MOLESKIN

The tradition is now in place for The Creek to host the ultimate Beast workout on every black Friday.  The PAX crushed YHC themed workout today with enthusiasm..

For the first ever the 2.0’s outnumbered the adults (5 2.0’s and 3 adults). It is truly a honor to have these kids join us every week. Not all of 2.0’s wanted all the items on the list. BB commented halfway through the merkins, she didn’t wait a XBOX One anymore

Welcome to Indy! Silently you crush your first workout.

The sweat on YHC back was so much that is left a imprint on the asphalt (picture below)

YHC is thankful this year for F3RVA. Through the support of all his F3 brother, YHC was able complete things he couldn’t have imagine!

17 Hardcorp Creeksters met at the Church for the Beatdown.  It must be cold in the mornings because everyone arrived within 4 minutes of the start time!

    20 (3 count) LBCs

Mosey 2 more laps around church.

Broken Wheelbarrows, each Creekster had to do 2 lengths from lightpost to lightpost in both barrow and pusher position.

Hold plank until all done with BW’s

    20 (3 count) Carolina Drydocks

DORA OF DEATH:  100 burpees, 200 crabcakes, 300 dwight howards.

We had to stop at 0613 hours because we just couldn’t make it all fit except maybe OPUS and his Partner…who was that?  Teaparty?  So we had to get back to the Shovel Flag, numberama 17!!! and namarama…..announcements…. I forgot, so if you remember, put ’em in the comments please.  The Carpenter took us out with prayer.

Sorry, we couldn’t extend gentlemen, I had Guantanamo and Fire Drill planned but we just didn’t get to them!!!  Next Time!  Everyone worked hard….good to see people sweating in the cold!!!!

Thanks for letting me Q again.

    World Series Trivia

The PAX answered a series of questions about WS history and facts. If the PAX got the questions right everyone did one Burpee. If they got it wrong, the PAX would have to run to the opposite end of the parking lot and back then complete 5 Burpees. Questions were as follows:

    1. Won has won the most World Series titles and how many?
    2. Who has the 2nd most titles?
    3. What year was the first series held and who won it?
    4. What team was accused of throwing the series in 1919?
    5. In what year did an earthquake accrue during the series?
    6. Which two teams have never made it to the World Series?

    Mosey to the field

Break up into teams of three or fours (one 2.0 per group) total of four groups.

    Field of Dreams

1s start at First Base (1st cone) do AMRAP Squats until relieved. 2s at Second Base (2nd cone) do AMRAP Merkins until relieved. 3s at Third Base (3rd cone) do AMRAP LBC’s until relieved. 4s at Home Plate (4th cone) will perform 15 Burpees then run to First, relieving the Pax there. Continue until all Pax have done the Burpees.

    F3 Baseball

Staying in the same groups, teams must complete a cumulative number of reps of different exercise at each base. 112 team merkins (for the number of WS that have been held) at first, 112 team squats at second, 112 team crab cakes at 3rd, 25 team burpees at home. Each time a team passes the base it started on, it gets a point. Team with the most points after 10 minutes wins. (Since the teams were uneven we didn’t keep count)

Mosey back to the SF for Ring of Fire, Numberama, Namerama, Wheelie took us out.

    MOLESKIN

YHC is a big fan of baseball and couldn’t pass up a WS theme. Since winning the WS is a team effort most exercises today were done as a team.

Things got started for the normal pre game mumble chatter including Emjoi asking YHC if he had slept in the AO last night and wondering if we final have The Carpenter join us this week.

    Highlighters from today:

    • Emoji showed up in a different vehicle everything day this week
    • Despite the cooler weather, we had 5 2.0’s show up this morning
    • The PAX needs to brush up on their WS trivia since they only got 2 out of 6 correct
    • Wheelie was unsuccessful in completing a “Who on first” sketch (could have used some help for No Idea)
    • Spike was a beast at F3 baseball since he had 2 2.0’s on his team

    NMS

YHC found out the day before that they were doing construction at the church. This cut the size of the AO in half and minor adjustments were made to the plan. hard work was done by all. A couple of low punches were delivered during the bob and weaves. Mumble chatter and spirits were high trough the circuits as partner pushed partner. We say that this is a you vs you workout, but what i have seen is that it is a PAX vs the you that you were five minutes ago. the PAX pushes each other, cheers each other, raises each other to make each other better. From the first person done to the six the PAX is there.

    Thanks for letting us lead

What a great morning to workout!  Nice and cool — little breeze.  Fun times!  YHC thinks some stayed home today because it is Friday the 13th.  Best part of today — the 2.0’s after the first Trifecta thought that they had heard they were supposed to run to the back of the building and do more exercises there.  Ummm… no.  They eventually figured it out and made it back to us at some point further in the routine.
Nice to have Abacus back in town today!!  Miss you bro!  He brought up a lot of mumblechatter about how things go down for F3 in Charlotte.  Basically the gist was their counting sucks and they have one person who is in charge of leading each AO and one has to ask permission to get to lead anywhere.  YHC thinks that is a crummy idea and likes the variety of leadership we have here in RVA!
YHC tried to get Wilt to lead a little today, but we should have had a better plan.  Next time!
Have a great Friday the 13th!

  • I can hear your heartbeat for the very last time….

Ohh ohh, like a surgeon…  (anyone alive remember Weird Al’s parody of ‘Like a Virgin”?)  Well, it was my VQ and I tried to see if THE CREEK would die on me…

It didn’t die…in the Halloween spirit, they walked around after like the undead though….kinda staggered….

    The workout went like this

    SLAUGHTER STARTER: 20 burpees OYO

Mosey:  2 laps around the church, wait in plank

Plank:  right hand up for 30 seconds, left hand up for 30, arm through right, 30 sec., left arm through, 30 sec.

    Cop:  10 x arm circles, 15 x 3count merkins, 20 baby situps, 20 side straddle hops, 20 hillbillys, 20 imperial walkers, 10 don quixotes

Plank:  right hand up for 30 seconds, left hand up for 30, arm through right, 30 sec., left arm through, 30 sec.

Global warming:  get into Al Gore in giant circle, circle left.  Q calls 3 count merkins (quantity 10), finish, get up into Al Gore, circle left (we should have circled right), Q calls 3 count side straddle hops.  started circling left again, Q got bored so,

Mosey over to field where there were 2 cylum sticks set up:  everyone paired up and did 4 broken wheelbarrows per individual and waited in plank til all were done.  This one was a buster…we took awhile but THE CREEK rocked it out!!!!  Cylum sticks moved closer to each other once the Q realized that they were ambitiously distanced to begin with.

Indian run around the field, with the last man slowing down at the front in order to keep us together, we did this for about 5 minutes then moseyed back to the cylum sticks.

After the indian run each pax had to carry their partner to the opposite cylum stick four times.  This promptly became piggy back for some of us!!! Everyone got their partner across 4 times though and that’s whats up!

Fairly sweaty at this point, mosey back to shovel flag for cop of 10 x arm circles and I think we did some don quixotes as well.  Numberama, Namearama and then circle of trust with announcements…Reesestrong NEXT SEPT…I think Quaker said that!!!  And prayer with special thanks for our 2.0s….and gone…..POOOF!

Thanks for being so gentle for my first time CREEK!!

    SIGNING OFF FOR MY VQ,

    Rounders

  • Form Police 2.0

Nineteen came out to The Creek for the final day of Tuckahoe Takeover. 10 men and 9 2.0s made for a fun beatdown, start with run around church.

COP – SSH, Don Qs, Flutterkicks, Merkins, Scorpion Kicks, then tell Pax Form Friday required all pax to call out bad form. Anyone calls out bad form all pax run to end of parking lot and back.

Head to Benches for Donkey Kicks and run 3 rounds. Plank up, bad form called.

Head to curb for Bear Crawls and 15 Merkins, Lunges & Jump Squats  (good shooting form), lights go out so mosey to light at entrance for Pan-Pax Burpees then some mary. Mosey back to benches for AMRAP Dips, 2 sets. Back to the front for slow count Merkins and some more Mary.

NMS – The 2.0s got into the Bad Form Police theme quickly. They seemed to really enjoy the ability to throw things off, we must have ran 5 times per their bad firm calls. YHC really enjoyed it and watching the 9 2.0s, including 3 FNGs, was beyond cool.

Emoji brought a 2.0 not his own, not sure if that is normal.  Good to meet some Daville pax like Tea Party and Pit Bull.

Spit was not kidding that the lights go out at 5:50. YHC was not prepared for it to be that dark.

    Silent Assassin signing off
