  • Couple drops of rain

    Four men showed up on a cloudy Friday morning for a good workout.
    COP: Parking lot tracers to the regular COP spot then SSH’s, Don Quixote’s, Helicopters, Merkins, Alabama Prom Dates, Hand Release Merkins, American Hammers, Arm Circles front and reverse. All IC X10 except the arm circles.

    Curb Crawls – Bear Crawl, 1 merkins, Craw Bears, 2 merkins, repeat unto 5

    Flag Pole Rotations – three exercises with increase reps after a lap around the office. When as follows:

    • Calf Raises – 25, 50, 75, 100
    • Toe Tapers – 25, 50, 25, 50
    • Dips – 25, 50, 25, 50

    Mosey to the parking lot

    The Beast – Squats, Merkins, Lt. Dans, LBC’s, Burpees (finished burpees as more of the MOM)

  • Virgin in the Eye of the Storm

    Popped my VQ today, in a tropical storm no less. Theme: AB day with two new competitive games (Scrabble and “Around the World”) because, after all, TGIF.

    COP #1: Abs

    • After perimeter school warm up jog: General Ab 10 count warm ups followed by 4 corners [ 10 atomic situps, 20 Freddies, 30 LBCs, 40 F-kicks ]

    COP #2: Team-Scrabble

    • I had pre-positioned a small bucket with all of the scrabble letters I could find in my house. Demo’d the bucket, then ran the PAX to the other side of the school and divide teams of 2. One buddy stays in plank position at the dry spot while other buddy runs in the rain to grab a random letter. He brings it back to the word tray. Switch. Goal is to spell just a 3-letter word – per dictionary rules of course – and the team with the highest point score once all teams had a word was exempt from 20 WWIIs. Plan to explain this more clearly and extend to 4 and 5 letter words in the future.

    COP #3: Around the World

    • At the blacktop, I had pre-positioned one pickleball. Would be better if it glowed in the dark, as this really tested PAX night vision in a storm. 3 on one side, 3 on the other side. Goal: chuck the pickelball as hard as you can to get it past Pax 1 on other team – then Run the perimeter to other side. If Pax 1 catches it, game continues and he chucks it back to Pax 2, then runs. Around the world continues until someone misses. If so, everyone drops for 10 WWIIs (or choose your poison) EXCEPT the victorious thrower who gets to gloat. We were soaked. Mr. Holland made me type that he defeated us all with two successful throws past pax.

    COT: Trail Mix is on the hunt for part time work on weekends or any time. Shout out what you got.

    Triple Check – Wall Sit, Low Squats, run a lap around the courtyard

    Solo Dora – 50 Incline Merkins, 100 Dips, 150 Curb Taps. After 25 reps of each exercises, complete a lap around the school office

    Curb Crawl – 5 to 1 Incline/Decline Merkins with Bear Crawl and Crawl Bear

    Increase 4 Corners – First – 10 WWII Sit-ups; Second – 10 WWII Sit-ups, 20 (2ct) Flutter Kicks; Third – 10 WWII Sit-ups, 20 (2ct) Flutter Kicks, 30 Monkey Humpers; Fourth – WWII Sit-ups, 20 (2ct) Flutter Kicks, 30 Monkey Humpers, 40 SSH

    Mosey back to the VSF

    The Thang’: Deck of Death (Yes, again & due to no one taking the Q) – Hearts = LBC; Spades = Squats; Diamonds = Merkins; Clubs = Calf Raises x2; Jokers = Mosey around parking lot. Randomly ran a few extra laps during the draws. Finished deck and had 5 minutes remaining and hot potato-ed some Mary.
