3 Runners and 3 ruckers enjoyed a nice morning on Thursday morning. This how it went down Runners – Loop of 4 to 4.5 miles include Rutland, the whole trail of Cool Spring West, and the Bojangles Loop. Ruckers – Did their thing SPIT ON THAT!!

YHC started off his Thursday the right way by getting in his car and heading towards the Rutland neighborhood for an enjoyable jog. He did have the heads up that the parking lot might be closed but at 5:28 AM, you forget small details like that. That parking lot was closed. So YHC parked on the next street which was about 200 meters from the AO. He then met up with Yardsale who was the lone rucker and BAM! who was ready for a jog. So off the 3 of us went. Yardsale soon after met up with Bulkhead. They…

Four started out from the Rutland clubhouse, but the only one with any sense of navigation quickly pulled out and went home with a back injury, leaving two guys who only just joined up with us, and…YHC. If we’ve ever run together in DaVille, you will know that I absolutely do not know my way around, despite doing the same routes over and over for 3 1/2 years. But we made it back alive and on time, covering a little over 3.5 miles in total. Given the circumstances, I’d call that pretty damn impressive. But we all hope Opus recovers…

It was one of those lonely parking lot mornings at 530am, still no one around. “Coming in hot? …. I guess not” said Beat It to himself, looking at his watch. A few stretches and an internal pep talk about the joys of solo running two minutes later, when Beat It’s hopes were lifted. A pair of headlights in the distance squealed to a stop & a figure emerged from an unknown car. “Beaver, is that you?” From a distance, you gotta admit …But it wasn’t Beaver. Daville’s finest new recruit from Shady Grove Methodist staff spoke from the Shadows…

Three ruckers and a runner posted on this Thursday to Rutland for the Tomato Run/Ruck. Since it was about 78 degrees and the runner was alone, he joined the ruckers to make it 4. They walked around Rutland discussing such topics as “Super Size Me” and what’s the difference between a dialect and a language. YHC learned quite a bit from Bulkhead on this topic. COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, No Idea took us out. NMS Great seeing No Idea back out again. The runners had returned but seem to have forgotten about Thursdays. Maybe as it starts cooling down again.…

Two runners and Two ruckers posted on this Thursday to Rutland. Weather as always was perfect. The Ruckers journeyed throughout Rutland and possibly Cool Spring Forest. The Runners took a traditional route through Rutland, Cool Spring Forest, Knollwood, and Cool Spring North. COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Yard Sale took us out. NMS Great having Speakeasy back out this morning. Enjoyed the discussion about the ABC stores as well as legal matters with beer, wine, and alcohol sales from the 1980s until today. It does appear that the cocktails to go law is permanent. Gotta Run! Phonics
