  • Just Another Day for a Run in DaVille

4 runners came out to get in the second run of the week. For three of us, it was take it sort of easy before our 10k this week.

Route was a traditional loop around Rutland, then full trail run in Cool Spring West. YHC decided to take the same way back getting in just over 4 miles. The rest of the PAX did the Bojangles loop and got closer to 4.5 miles. Made sure to keep the pace reasonable.

Speakeasy may have EHed us to run in the new Half Marathon next March

  • Another Interval Down

3 runners overcame the excuses, ranging from the painful and medical to work-related to, well, less compelling, to tackle some intervals. Opus and YHC pushed for 5kish pace for the intervals around YHC’s favorite interval loop to celebrate his 1st F3 anniversary, with a total of 15 minutes at that pace and walking or jogging rest. Spit took it a bit easier in preparation for his 10k twofer approaching. Everyone else slept. Thanks for pushing me guys. Even though we split up for much of the run today, having you guys out there holds me accountable and pushes me to work harder than I ever would on my own.

  • Bojangling Solo

One Davillians made sure the AO was secured and got in some mile this morning

YHC decided to scrap the route and do mile repeats on the Bojangles loop.

finished with 3 loops just over 3 miles

  • Tour de Cool Springs West

4 runners launched from the Rutland clubhouse, quickly meeting Bulkhead, running towards the start, to make 5 runners. The Pax took the long way to Cool Springs West, via Oakham, Fox Hill Farm, Colvincrest, and Hughesland. Runners then completed an outer loop around the Cool Springs West trail and an inner loop around the southern part of the neighborhood. Spit, Bulkhead, and Opus took the short way back, down Crestfield, for between 4 and 4.5 miles. YHC and Whitesnake took a longer route, including all of the trail prep Whitesnake will need for his Bear Creek 10 miler, for between 4.5 and 5 miles. The ruckers, who ambitiously covered 5 miles, were running late, so we counted them off in absentia. No announcements, but good luck to the west end folks in their race this weekend. Opus took us out. Notably, there was actual sunlight by this time. Just say no to daylight savings time!

YHC was trying to avoid duplicating recent runs and to take advantage of the relatively bright conditions we would have. I think that may be enough Cool Springs West for a while, though. It was great meeting and running with Whitesnake. The 200 yards of unpaved trail we ran have you good to go for Sunday.

  • LIFO only

A lone LIFO Davillian made sure the AO was still secured even in the rain for the Thursday Run edition.

With be close to 10 mins late, YHC decided to cut the run in half with a short loop around Rutland, Atlee Library, and finish with the Bojangles loop for 2.15 miles

Rain was light until the end.
