  • “The Slow Pace”

2 Davillians enjoyed post Christmas run this morning.

For Phonics this was a “cool down” run after running with his daughter over the weekend at 7ish pace and Spider Run 6 mile group Tuesday.

Today we got in a short run of 3.5 miles but at 8:15 pace

Route – Runner did loops around Rutland include the Rutland loop, Townhouses, and Bojangles getting in 4+

    Ruckers did their thing

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Stay as one

4 Runners and 4 ruckers enjoy some colder temps for a second half of the week run

Route – The runner headed out to the fly over to Craney Island then the cut throught it Giles before coming back over the fly over and a loop around the townhouse. We made sure to stay as a PAX circling back for the six. Distance ranged from 4 mile to 4.5 miles

    Ruckers did their thing

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Spider

  • Where’s El DeBarge?

5 runners and 2 Ruckers enjoyed a colder morning after some rain. YHC had prepared the route but as we were starting to run, Mr Holland mentioned that “El DeBarge” was on the Q sheet.

With no El DeBarge to be found we took off

Route – A out and back. Headed to the large hill behind Craney Island then back for a loop around Bojangles. Phonics had some each wrong turns to add to his miles.

Ruckers did their thing with their 4 legged friend as well

    Spit On That!!

  • Beat it, Bacon!

4 ruckers and 4 runners showed up this morning to hit the mean streets of Mechanicsville.
A piece of bacon showed up as well…

Lots of fun was had by all.

Apologies to Beat it from YHC, who posted something jokingly about a dress up and run day.

  • Lost and Found

5 Runners started their Thursday morning with a traditional run around Rutland and the trail of Cool Spring Forest.

2 Ruckers also did their thing with some laps round Rutland

1 runner showed up late and after the COT, a search party went out and the lost was then found

Hopefully the DaVille search and rescue will not be needed this Thursday

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Tomato season is still on in Hanover

6 men (2 groups of 3) gathered for this weeks Tomato Run. 3 Rucked and 3 Ran. Conversations were had about various subjects.

    Announcements – none

Prayer Requests – Fudd’s sister/family. All people who are going through life’s challenges and struggles, both spoken and unspoken

NMS – when YHC pulled into the parking lot at 5:28 not a car was in sight. YHC was worried it was going to be solo run, just YHC and Lulu. Luckily Phonics pulled in followed up Yard Sale and Trail Mix. No Idea and Bulkhead met during their Ruck to make a total of 6

  • Double-Digit Thrusday

10 Davillians (Yep 10!) including 7 runners and 3 ruckers enjoy a nice Thursday morning

Runners – Traditional route through Rutland and the Cool Spring Trail with optional return laps getting in 3.5 to 5 miles

Ruckers – Normal route as well finish with a Bojangles loop

Been a while since we had 10 show up on a Thursday with all the PAX being Davillians

Also good to see Pablo out again

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • No Small Child Left Behind

Five “responsible” “adults” came out to pound the pavement. I have No Idea where the ruckers went, and I doubt they do either. Runners took a tour of the library/Bojangles area, skipped running behind Kroger because it’s smelly, hit the townhouses, crossed the bridge, and started venturing into Giles before time to head back to the proverbial flag.

While there is no official age in VA when one is allowed to leave a child unattended at home, we agreed that Spit was probably wise to stay home today – if for no other reason than to be a good example of “responsibility” to Beat It as a new dad.
