  • It’s getting dark at Wdog

Two showed up along with many more deer for WDog. It’s good to have company because it was dark outside.

Getting out of the car this morning after parking YHC noticed a white slip of paper tucked neatly under the windshield wiper, and being a parking engineer YHC was astonished that an expert in the industry would be getting a parking ticket. Well after further examination it was not a parking ticket. YHC shared with Swirly the clues on the paper and we immediately zeroed in on none other than Upchuck… but it was not Upchuck, it was another cheeky fellow… Bodos. Mystery solved of the early morning parking ticket.

Good conversation and a very familiar routine of exercises around the gravel path, wrapping up a perfect 6:15 AM.

    Over and out.

  • Soup for Six

Six strong braved the soupy conditions for the weekly rendition of WDog. Here’s how it went down.

Head to the track 2 loops – 2 miles – exercises at each station = 220 merkins – 220 squats.

Faceplant is at 999 posts! Will he make it 1,000 tomorrow? You have to come out and see for yourself! Big Data motivation.

  • Three, no Seven Amigos…and Dolly Parton!

Seven strong gathered at WDOG this morning in honor of Dolly Parton and here is how it went down.

Head to the track 2 loops – 2 miles – exercises at each station = 220 merkins – 220 squats.

Added twist at the end of some Hello Dolly Parton’s for the late great superstar. Have a great day!

  • Three Amigos

Three amigos attacked WDOG this morning and here is how it went down.

Head to the track 2 loops – 2 miles – exercises at each station = 220 merkins – 220 squats.

Good work and mumble chatter fellas – not as humid this morning great way to start the day!

  • Two Dogs on the track

Two dogs made their way to the track the morning and banged out a couple miles along with a couple hundred merkins and squats.

Great way to start the day – think we solved all the worlds problems 🙂 Hope to see the rest of the pax that is usually at WDOG next week,

  • Retirement

3 seniors arrived to WDog in the thickness of a late summer gloom to discuss the twilight of life. Here’s how it went down.

COP: all vets so we hit the trail

THANG: You know the drill: 1-mile loop with alternating merks and squats; x2. 220 merks, 220 squats

COT: Knucklebumps and thoughts for those that need it.

NMS: It was brought up how much darker the mornings feel already which led to conversations about retirement and how quickly time passes. Could have been a somber topic, but it really wasn’t. We all decided that sitting around wasn’t really our jam so we’ll keep plugging along.

Have a great day men and be memorable.

    BT out!

  • 1 Dog

1 lone dog posted at WDOG this morning so it was as quiet as I’ve ever heard it. Sure hope the rest of the pax comes back next week!

    See y’all in the gloom!

  • The Place to Be

Solid showing at WDog by some grizzled vets. Beautiful morning before the heat sets in for a bit. Here’s how it went down.

    Thang:
    Old Faithful (i.e. the VitaTrail)
2 Laps, alternating Merkins and Squats (modified due to old joints when necessary) Total of 220 Merkins/220 squats with a few SSHs and DeadMan Hangs, 2 miles covered.

    COT:
Prayers for Hitch’s dad and Swirly’s family. Also to Pucker that he survives another hockey game tonight. BT took us out.

    NMS:
We’ve been getting very lucky with the beautiful mornings. Great banter included a recap of Hitch’s trip to S Korea, Pistol Shrimp progress, potential EH for Faceplant and other gripping stories. Great midweek meet-up. SYITG!

    BT out!
  • Walking is good for you…

Along with Merkins and Squats. The two of us executed the usual Swirly special at WDog (sans Swirly this week): 2 laps, 220 merkins, 220 squats. 2 miles covered.

The walking was easy on the knees but the humidity made it heavy on the sweat. Good start to any day!

    MOLESKIN

Determined to ruin partner and throuple numbers, Blank Space joined us a few minutes into the COP.  Undeterred, we pushed on and were glad to have him.  Apologies for repeating a few things from Saturday for the boys at both.  Kudos to Handshake and Senor for triple-ish dipping.  Good luck to USA vs. Bosnia and Heerzzuyraiia.  Kinda ridiculous to play 1 v 2, but let’s go!
