  • On the Books

Eight guys plotted a route off the books until YHC foiled that plan via early morning Q sheet grab.  Here’s where YHC made them go:

    The Route

    • L on Pump
    • L on Falconbridge
    • L on Raintree
    • R on Ridgefield
    • L on Cox
    • L on Brookmont (zig zag at end to Pump)
    • R on Pump (L on Pump and circle Godwin for shorter 4ish mile route)
    • L on John Rolfe
    • L on Glen Eagles
    • L on Old Prescott back to the Flag

    MOLESKIN

Unaware that Roger Roger had a plan, YHC literally took the Q and ran with it.  Get it?  Lol, dad joke unlocked.  Great to see familiar faces though some at unfamiliar paces.  Hmmm, YHC is a poet and didn’t know it.  Anyway, come back next Friday to see if RR’s plan is now on the books.

    MOLESKIN

Marv was highly amused by Crabcakes for unknown reasons, but the Bear Crawl Mosey was no laughing matter.  The Automobile Lottery math proved difficult, almost as difficult as remembering which vehicle corresponded with which exercise.  Next time we’ll just do Burpees for all of them since there was not a van to be found.  Welcome back Abscess.  Quiet morning without big and little brother.  Cawfee Talk featured tales from Yellowstone.  Lockjaw recommends the Bison Burger.

    MOLESKIN

A couple of prolific home run hitters grabbed the Q, not wanting to risk Bacon Bits dropping some awful block routine again.  The heat and humidity made life plenty awful, nonetheless.  Big Macshake was a little extra with the time, but no worries Jose Hutton was happy to hit the walk-off and steal the glory.  Heart rates were going crazy coming up the hill.  YHC won’t attest to the cleanliness of his fellow Bash Bro’s sample, but no PEDs or bacne for this guy.  Until next time, swing a big stick and swing it hard.

After Kubota’s warm up, YHC was total Zen today.  Not even the PAX’s constant eye rolls could kill the buzz.  There was a live Spiderman showdown meme when Ronnie realized there was another Jack amongst the PAX, welcome Flo.  With no prior knowledge of a two Jack post, YHC planned 3 Jacks of his own.  You can never jack enough at First Watch.  Where’s Bleeder when you need him?  With broken promises to win OSOTW by two returning vacationers, Last Call came through and saved the day.

YHC threw out the idea of converging at the late great Batteau in hopes of drawing a few guys on this special day.  Should’ve known the men of F3 would show up in droves.  In celebration of America, YHC thought it would be appropriate to pay tribute to the original Batteau legendary workout.  Hardywood would have been proud.  Welcome to the 4 FNGs, see you again soon.  God Bless America, be safe out there.

  • Preblast – Throwback to Batteau

    Preblast – Throwback to Batteau

Gents, after asking around it seems many PAX are out of town to celebrate the 4th, but I plan to work out.  Call it a Convergence if you want, OTB, or simply a blast from the past, but 6 years ago our old friend Hardywood dropped a bomb that nearly killed half the PAX in attendance, YHC included.  Let’s do it again.  We’re throwing it back to Batteau.  For those who don’t know, that is a now retired AO at Forest Hill Park.  Meet up spot is the Stone House on 41st Street and Forest Hill Avenue.  We’ll start at 0700 and go for an hour.  I’ll have a cooler with water and some other things after the workout.  There’s a Blanchard’s nearby for coffeteria afterward. https://backblasts.f3rva.org/2016/07/04/batteau-beatdow-july-4th-spectacular/
