    Celebrating the countdown to 500 Q’s, YHC led a motivated 6 HIM’s on a high speed trek through Larus to some new ground on the other side of Chippenham. We braved walking across a large tree trunk to traverse the ranging torrents of a river (tiny creek), and L Woods managed to find a muddy spot with one foot. The topic of discussion for the morning was “Meeting” (Q1.8 of the QSource). In this Easter season, the PAX joined YHC in looking to JESUS as the best-ever HIM, and considered how we might follow His example in self-sacrifice for others. All for Him, ~DTH

    This is the power of Faith and the secret sauce to why F3 is an Effective Organization. The Joy of forgetting oneself in service of another surpasses all understanding. It is the foundation of Hope.

TClaps to Snuff planting an F3 Flag, AND bringing delicious coffee! After our goofy picture at the flags, Dookie proved he could clutch a KB with his legs and complete x3 perfect pullups!   • Family Time!

    Today’s OTB family-friendly ruck gathered 29 cheerful hearts of all ages for ruck/hike through Larus Park. We started with a warmerama and stretching on the green space next to Gelati Celesti, and YHC even called a few reps in cadence. Before launching we covered safety rules for our big group including lots of kids, and then trekked a 2.5 mile loop around Larus with a merry band of high-energy boys leading the way the entire time. We stopped for the SIX a number of times including a refreshing splash in a creek and death-defying heights at the climbing rock, and made it back in just under 90 minutes. No injuries, bright sunshine, and fresh air! We topped it all off with a COT, a coolest gathered rock competition, and great conversations over ice cream. Until next time, Yours AYE! ~DTH

  • Two > One

    Almost all Crossing PAX confirmed expected absence, and even YHC wasn’t sure until 1 hour prior. 6pm found just DTH at the Flag. Moseyrama with variable movements around the lot to end up back at the truck, parked with a trailer next to a large pile of logs which Meatball had requested some help transporting to Camp. Solo loading ensued while listening to a podcast sermon. Wasn’t too long before brother Jiggy rolled up in his sweet new Tesla with stories for days to entertain YHC while completing this unusual but highly rewarding workout. Jiggy did in fact season his many stories with helping load a few logs, and was especially helpful when YHC’s leg was nearly crushed by the biggest stump. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9)

  • Conquering Tryhard at Handicamp

    10 gloom studs assembled for a refreshing ride on the Forge pain train, with YHC digging back in the annals of historic novelty for a nonstop high rep whoopin – as follows:

    The THANG: 

    MORNING CALL:

    • Mosey the latecomers loop and end up back at the Mobile Taco Pullup Station
    • PAX plank while taking turns doing 5 pullups on the bar, each PAX declaring their nickname with gusto and the PAX repeating

    SLAUGHTER LIGHT POLES:

    • Starting at the flag, stop at every light pole going down Sheila Lane to the Culdesac, and at each light pole complete x5 Squats AND x5 Merkins

    WARMERAMA: 

    • Circle up in the Culdesac
    • Welcome & Disclaimer
    • Warm-up Reps IC, including the infamous 8-count “DTH” (Dolly, Toe touch, Heels to Heaven)

    NMS:  Solid PAX to run through some of our favorite DTH routines. TClaps to these Forge studs embracing the suck and conquering all these COT’s with great enthusiasm and effort. While bearcrawling the handicap ramp (AKA hadicamp) Snuff noted the brutal hear crawl was better than needing it for a wheelchair. This sentiment of gratitude for the strength and health we enjoy was rolled into the sober reality during COT that none of us can count on tomorrow, and we all ought to do all we can for the time we have today – seek and give forgiveness, put others needs before your own, stop to enjoy the beauty and blessing of moments and margins. Lovely coffeerama followed courtesy of Snuff, with excellent discussion about our 3rd F topics of Prayer and Study. We are better when connected with each other and with a greater power’s accountability and guidance of the What-What.   • The NEW Hundred

    With a number of regulars otherwise engaged for the evening, Chaplain and YHC enjoyed a bromantic 45 minutes of breathless counting. The festivities began with a half mile lap around the WEAG grounds, stopping briefly to turn in lost car keys to the church office, and finishing with a brand new warmup routine we’ll call “Fence Overs,” which was simply climbing over a wooden fence repeatedly from one end to the other. Circled up with disclaimer and variable standup reps in soggy grass, then moved to dry concrete for the other half of the chest and abbs warmup. Thereafter we commences the all new “NEW HUNDRED” routine, which is like the Old Hundred, except the rep count doesn’t come down by tens, but rather just remains 100 reps per exercise per COP, with a mosey between stops. Exercises included:

    • Variable Arm movements in Wall chair
    • Incline Merkins
    • SSH’s
    • Flutters
    • Bear Crawl
    • Squats

  • Dinner Date with Redwood Ruckers

    202 days until GTE-74, and seven ruck studs accepted the DTH invitation to trail-blaze new territory and enjoy a romantic dinner at The Galley along the way. Launched from The Forge at 1500 and crossed the tracks into no-mans woods behind HHS and Walmart, looping around and back to the tracks to cross under Chippenham, all PAX impressed with the quality of the dirtbike trails throughout the woods, ad we momentarily paused to thank the dirt bike Gods on the top of an unusual dirt mound mountain. Second loop around the woods behind Target/Publix, finding a few ravine/creek crossings challenging (the motor boat was not used…) Then emerge for a fine dining experience at The Galley. Appetizer of biltong jerky courtesy of Sable. Falcon Smash and Galley Burger – YUM – now where’s the Pepcid?! Our return was a much more direct shot BTTVSF hugging trails along the railroad (we will return someday for the abandoned tractor tire…) Total distance covered approximately 5.15 miles. Amazing conversation enjoyed back all. Epic adventures! More OTB rucks planned monthly between now and GTE-74 in September. ANYONE welcome to join – plenty of spare rucks on hand. Yours AYE! ~DTH

    NMS:  It’s been too long since YHC has enjoyed a build-a-beast. Banter was strong after everyone was repeatedly shouting “I’m a Star!” with the 5th Beast round. PAX looked super strong and finished the cumulative beast with plenty of time left, so we used the field markers for a classic quarter pounder to stretch our legs a bit. Enjoyed meeting Pinetree from F3 Canal Fulton (Ohio), here for his son’s soccer tournament. The Bon Iron PAX is getting bigger and stronger. Way to push fellas!
