    Mosey to Door #1 good old fashion door beatdown alternating 2 count American Hammers and Scrunchy Frogs (for the Merkin challenge guys work your merkins in) along the way we find 4 frisbees at various spots, do 20 of the exercise on the frisbee plus the exercise that you’re on

    at door 33 when PAX is finished we did 10 of each exercise plus Smurf Jacks which where added because Nancy tried to hide a frisbee

    Mosey to curb for elevens 10 Dips lunge to the other side 1 Toe tap backwards Lunge back

    Finish out with Hoedowns and walk outs 20, 15,10 and 20

    Welcome to Footloose, so named because he was brave enough to wear toe shoes to a beatdown. Someone mentioned that he might be a mean guy when YHC called him a Friendly New Guy so YHC told him not to bite OC and it went down hill from there.

    9 of the worlds most highly trained and physically fit athletes made their way to Hoedown to see if Doozy wanted to sit in child’s pose or actually do something in this beatdown. According to Bodos’s organ player this is what happened.

    Mosey across the street and 1 lap around the church and back to the far corner of the A lot.

    COP – DQ’s, Helicopters, Deadman Hangs, Imperial Walkers, Ukrainian Soldiers and possibly a few other things

    Bust out the plastic bowls one empty and one full of small slips of paper with numbers on them. Each HIM in time draws a number and the PAX does the exercise and amount of times that match the number on the master sheet. After each 5 HIM drawing a number PAX runs one lap around the church. PAX made it through all 20 numbers and 3 extra credit drawings.

    Mosey BTTF 5 minutes left, use the hill from the lot to the fence. Bernie up the hill for 10 squats, mosey down the hill for 10 2 count ball dippers repeto until time is called

    An oldy but a goody as my Grandmother would have said. Perfect weather once again for a beatdown in the early AM. Always good seeing some of the guys that YHC hasn’t seen in a while and then meeting some new guys.

  • No Merkins??

    YHC pulled up early to WDog only find Swirly had already secured the AO for the 5 that would eventually head out for a Doozy Q. According to the mountain bike mafia this is what happened.

    100 LBC’s, 200 Hello Dollies, 300 Squats partner runs the long way down and back

    Mosey to the side halfway down for a game of touch a tree. Run across the grassy pit and touch 5 trees but they can not be the first set of trees before the opposite sidewalk. Once you return do 20 WWII’s and go back out to touch 4 trees but they can’t be the same trees, return and do 20 WWII’s. Repeto until you get to 1 tree

    Mosey to the corner, Bro Code 4 corners 10 – Jump Squats, 20 – Ball dippers (2 count), 30 – Squats, 40 – calf raises

    Mosey BTTF for an ab ring of fire, hold Lazy Boy while each HIM around the circle does 20 of their favorite ab exercise

    NMS:

    BT was a little disappointed when I announced that due to YHC’s shoulder injury we would not be doing Merkins, Burpees or anything in the plank position. YHC says a little disappointed because he needed the Merkins for the Merkin challenge but he was happy to not have to do Burpees. He did get some Merkins in by substituting them during the ring of fire and sprinkling them into the workout when possible.

  • Stop licking Oyster!!!!!

    Out of this mornings Gloom there appeared 4 men dressed for success but success at what is what we had to find out.

    5:28 and Heist is telling everyone how he just got over the stomach bug yesterday, to wit Oyster shares his thoughts about people who show up to workouts and talk about how sick they were the day before. Nancy and Doozy had to play the part of grumpy old men and tell the youngsters to stop touching each other.

    YHC must get the PAX back on track (or on the track period) mosey to the top of the hill for COP

    Dead Man Hangs, DQ’s, Cherry Pickers, Helicopters, LBC’s walk to the corner to find 3 frisbees with an exercise written on the inside. Do anyone of the 3 exercises x20, mosey to the next corner and Al Gore for the 6, Repeto at all four corners X3

    Mosey back to parking lot, each HIM carried 3 frisbees back with them lay all three in front of you do 10 of the exercise on the first frisbee and then rotate to the spot at the right and do the exercises on first frisbee repeto until you’ve been to every spot 3 times or until you’ve done every exercise on every frisbee.

    Finish out with an ab speed round ring of fire 15 count each American Hammers, Scrunchy Frogs, Hello Dollies, Rossalittas, Heals to Heaven and Smerf Jacks

    The mumblechatter started out strong this morning and quickly tapered as YHC had a little more ground than pound in his beatdown this A.M.

    YHC did try to do the shoulder tap merkins but it was a no go when it came to the actual pushup part so Shoulder taps and Plank Jacks can be added back into the beatings from this part forward.

  • Prostitutes get confused on where their home is

    3 regular (ly) dressed trick or treaters and 1 fully decked out in his anima costume visited RnR this morning to see what Doozy had prepared. YHC had to admit right out of the gate that there was no plan this morning, it was going to just have to come out of his sick and twisted head.

    Chaplain was having a hard time fully committing to the Prostitute and kept trying to make it a regular 4 corners

    Partner up – Partner 1 does exercises while partner 2 runs up the stairs around the building and back – Dips, Step ups and Box Jumps

    Mosey to the parking lot (because Chaplain asked for it) 4 corners regular

    Corner 1 – 20 WWII, Corner 2 – 30 Squat Jumps, Corner 4 – 40 single count American Hammers, Corner 4 – 50 – Lt Dans

    Mosey to the end line of the parking lot (somewhat of a beast but not really) run about 1/4 of the way do 10 of called exercise, run to the 1/2 repeto, run to the 3/4 repeto, run to end turn around repeto on the way back. Exercises where your choice WWII or Merkins, second wave Smerf Jacks

    Mosey to the next lot full sprint from end line to end line

    Mosey back towards the flag, YHC did not realize they had removed the rails when they re-did the parking lot

    BTTF time for ring of fire your choice Plank position or Lazy Boy, if you chose plank, when its your turn you do 20 Merkins of your choice. If you chose Lazy Boy you do Ab work of your choice

    YHC really did try to think of a good way to make this a Halloween workout but was having trouble getting in the spirit. YHC’s kids are all aging out of the Halloween experience. The M and I will still sit out front in the driveway this year handing out lots of candy / beer (age appropriate) and Posey will head out with friends for some candy but will most likely end up playing X-Box or Play Station. Next year will probably be the harder year because Posey will more than likely not dress up and it will be a year of lasts with our middle child.

    9 middle aged men gathered at the Forge to greet a new day. According to the Owl here is what went down.

    Partner 1 does wall sits, partner 2 does dips while partner 3 runs to the stairs, tooth fairy up and mosey around

    Mosey up the stairs and back towards the flag at the bottom of the first hill on Mt Chaplain

    Line up in the parking lot (you choose your mode of transportation) (Lung, Bear Crawl, Crawl Bear, Whatever you decide) from lot line to lot line. 1 Jump squat at the first line and increase by 1 every line until 10

    Sometimes YHC just feels old and hearing the ages of the guys in our group this morning (Most 42) reminded YHC that I’m not in my 40’s anymore. I tried to workout and run in my 30’s and 40’s but we didn’t have a group like F3 so YHC drank and smoked most of those years away. I am so grateful to have F3 at 51 to be out here pushing myself, asking others to dig deep and push themselves. Keep pushing guys, age is just a number.

    The right side field is for Abs, the left side field is for legs the pavilion is for 10 dips every time your under it. Each round we stop at the center of the right side field for 6 of an exercise then to the end for 6 then back to the center for 6 pass through the pavilion doing 10 dips to the center of the other field for 6 to the end for 6 back to center for 6 back into the pavilion for 10 dips (x6)

    NMS:

    McRib decided to try to offer up one of his ribs by slip sliding in the mud as he was running around YHCs feet at the pavilion. Apparently, the sound was much worse than the fall. It sounded like we where going to have to partner carry him to the Emergency Room at Johnston Willis which luckily was closer than the cars. In the end he said he actually fell mostly in the mud and only partly on the concrete and all of his ribs are still intact.

  • Yah, yah, yah I’ll get too it

    Only 2 brave enough for Suicides on Twin Team, Tobit and Doozy talked about just getting in a Ruck but decided to get after a beatdown instead. Lets head to the hill

    Lots going on this week and really just forgot to write this BB. Had a great Friday night with Tobit, Orange Crush and Nancy Lopez watching the mighty Monacan Chiefs win their football game. YHC promised Tobit that he would get this BB out as not to mess with his Big Data points.

  • Plug in Oyster?????

    8 Popsicles found themselves in the almost freezing parking lot of Timberwolf wondering why they didn’t fart sack this morning or at least wondering “should I stay in the car?”.

    DQ’s, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, LBC’s, Booty Scooters (We almost lost Hermie here, man down with an ab cramp)

    Partner 1 does exercises while partner 2 runs to the last light and back (Dips, Step Ups, Wall Sits)

    Mosey to Light pole alley (find the ball & Chain with 12 frisbees)

    PAX does the exercise that is written on the frisbee while 1 HIM grabs the ball or chain (unless your Nancy Lopez you grab both) and runs to the last light pole (modified to the tennis court after DK was the test rabbit). Once 8 where complete switch to partners carrying the ball or chain while PAX does the remaining exercises.

    Somehow the discussion of camping and having electricity was started but the wheels quickly fell off that bus when Hermie mentioned that they made coffee by plugging the Oyster in, that (in turn) turned Oyster on and it went down hill from there.

  • Lets just keep it contained

    4 Bootcampers thought they might be in for a heavy run day when YHC explained that there would be no Merkins or Burpees but that the PAX was free to incorporate them into the beatdown as they each saw fit. I do not believe 1 burpee or Merkin was performed in the making of this BB.

    Mosey to the Amplatheater for COP and what would eventually be the entire morning

    Partner 1 does exercise while partner 2 box jumps their way to the top and runs back down repeto X3. Exercises are LBC’s, American Hammers, Scrunchy Frogs

    Round 2 Exercises are Jump squats, Ball Dippers, Calf Raisers

    Elevens – 1 American Hammer at the bottom run to the top for 10 Box Jumps on top step

    Move to the bottom of the pit wall sits at the bottom for about 1 minute run to the top for dips (YHC kept count of 50, 40, 30) time ran out BTTF

    NMS:

    YHC is still trying to figure out how to get a good well rounded beatdown in when you can’t do anything in the plank position. Lots of Abs and legs to be done but YHC has also been reminded that not everyone likes to run as much. WDog is one of those AOs that you can stay in one spot and still get a really good workout in, if you haven’t Q’ed here YHC suggests you give it a shot.
