  • Planetary Alignment

When the stars align – or at least the planets – running, rucking, or walking just seems to happen. Routes were called and off we went. There was slight complaint when I mentioned the routes were intentionally a little light in miles. I will make it up to you next time.

  • Speaking in Movie References

Eight Pax members sculpted by classic movie quotes and references embarked on running and rucking. North on Westmoreland, right on Fitzhugh to Broad, and come back on Antrim or Tilden, Mulberry, or Meadow depending on your distance. Grove brings you home.

  • Yesterday’s News

A triumphant twelve eagerly departed on routes of 4,5, and 6. Commonwealth to Monument, west to Willow Lawn, pick up Patterson and head west. Pick up the associated cross street and return on Grove.

Libbie Market coffee time is always fun, but today was full of laughs and engaging! Talk ranged from a variety of topics, but always entertaining and lively!

  • Crowd Sourcing Movie Recommendations

Six bodies shivering in the light as the Q showed up just in time making it a lucky 7 + 1 K9. Directions were called and all embarked on their routes. Commonwealth to Monument and head east picking up the appropriate turns to come back on Grove.

Announcements: Ask Hitchhiker about his thoughts on family fine dining.

Coffee at Libbie Market on a weekday is special indeed. Today was extra special as we reminesced about classic movies – both for kids and adults. A solid list was compiled.

  • T’was the Morning Before Christmas

Walkers, ruckers, and runners of different paces converged today for some holiday cheer! Up the main entrance and ascend Boatwright to Edgehill. Down Three Chopt to Patterson and back on your respective cross street.

Announcements – Fudd is leading January’s trip to the Bridge. See Fudd/Slack for details.

Coffee afterwards was a rare Tuesday treat!

    Happy Holidays!

  • F3 Cribs S1E1

A cool dozen emerged from the warm enclosure of their idling cars. The clock strikes 530 and off we went with a short mosey to the small teacher’s lot. The circle was small to preserve warmth, and got even smaller with the Ukrainian Soldiers bringing us in nice and snug.

A jog down the road and up west drive got the blood flowing as we transitioned into teams of three for triple check. Run the loop, monkey humpers, and box cutters. Though the little dog noticed us with barks, no angry neighbors shouted out the time of day.

Over to YHC’s house for two sets of 20 PLTs. Mosey down to the shopping center and form a circle for a ring of fire with Mary. Dealer’s choice as we worked the abs.

Mosey back to the AO with some 11s – Bulgarian squats and derkins. Now let’s finish with BTTW – last man standing. It came down to Bodos and Pigskin and Pigskin prevailed.

Announcements – Welcome Salt Lick to F3 Richmond. He joins us from the middle of Texas.

Excellent 2nd F coffee and a tour of Bodo’s pad. A spectacular space and an office that is exactly what you would imagine Coffee and discussion rivals none. Who will take us on next month’s tour?

  • Return to Haiku

    Cold, brisk winter temps

    We converge ready to go

    Which route will be called?

    West we went with speed!

    Are those people sounds?

    An unholy convergence

    Awkward pleasantries

    Cult membership was denied

    Back to the sermon

  • Gloom Confessionals

11 warriors of the gloom emerged for this week’s installment of First Watch. Hutton had some solo yoga/nap/merkinfest prior and came ready to roll!

Over to the small triangle park and get wet early in the leaves for COP. Mobile workout the whole way down to Westham Station and back up the hill with an assortment of crowd pleasers throughout. We finished with a mary ring of fire.

Coffee is always a fine way to start any day, but especially Wednesday with this crew!

  • Worth the Wait

Though coincidental, the route called today is the classic Reverse Carillon. After a little bit of explanation – including the fact that the reverse route is the dominant direction – off we went.

Good conversation along the way as perspectives were shared. The two blocks of sudden November Rain (cue the GNR song) was a nice surprise.

    OBT took us out.

  • Shadow Interpretations

11 by foot and 1 by road bike converged this morning. We headed east to then pick up Hanover for the Halloween tour. Some decorations were out, but not as many as prior years, probably due to the time remaining until Halloween.

Moleskin: Its always the simplest things that turn out providing entertainment. That is definitely the case with this group with the parking lot as our canvas! Things can appear skinny, long, or droopy, with the right angle from the light.

Marv took us out and did it well.
