    White Goodman. 11 Faithful gloom warriors posted for a mild morning beatdown. There was lots of mumble chatter including music thanks in part to Duke’s smoked chili the day prior. Here is what happened.

    COP: 30 SSH, 10 DQ’s, Mosey down to Otterdale make the turn up the hill and return to the lot. 10 helicopters, 10 merkins, 20 LBC’s, Deadman hang, etc.

    The thang: Head up Satan’s hill to the back corner of the hood stopping at every other mailbox for 10 merkins, 20 LBC’s and 30 squats. completing 10 took us to the corner of Millington so why not run to the very end of hood and back. Heading back complete 20 SSH’s and 20 arm circles at every 3rd mailbox. Switched arm circles to monkey humpers at 3rd stop. I could not watch Heists arm circle form anymore. Stop at top of hill. 3 mailboxes left 50 Merkins at first 2 and 50 squats at last. BTF. Hold 6 inches until time was called.

  • Who is shopping today?

    3 men posted wondering why would you get up to shop when you can get up to work out. Quite a heat wave this AM, as always 72 and sunny. According to the bargain hunters leaving the hood early here is what went down.

    COP: A lot of warm up exercises.

    The Thang: 3 triples. !st coupon curls, pull ups or jerkins and runner to otterdale. 2nd Coupon overhead press, bench dips and runner to fire hydrant. 3rd Merkins, LBC’s and runner to coupon pile. Finish off with some stretches.

  • Excuse me Madam

    YHC was back from parts unknown and was ready to get back to work. Three able bodied gloom warriors and 2 partially able participants awaited. According to the garbage man here is what happened.

    COP- 20 each SSH, LBC; 10 Each DQ’s, Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Tic/Toc’s, Coper head squat, Dead man hang, Merkins, Flutters, Dollies.  

    The thang:

    4 corners: 1st 2 on the track then 2nd 2 around the school the hard way. Exercises were 25 plank jacks, 50 squats, 75 LBC and 100 rotated: Merkins, Prom dates, flutter kicks and merkins again.

    Grab some wall for peoples chair and some DK’s.

    Announcements: HDHH coming next Tuesday to Hardywood West Creek. Forest Hill loops on black Friday.

    Prayer Requests: to all traveling for holiday and to those injured, may they find wellness.

    Six Redwoods came through the fog to see what the end of the week edition of SH had in store. As the clock struck away we went

    COP- Start strong run up Otterdale hill to other entrance. 20 each SSH, LBC; 10 Each DQ’s, Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Tic/Toc’s, Coper head squat, Dead man hang, Merkins, Flutters, Dollies.  

    Cul-de-sac tour. 1st 50 merkins at top and 50 at bottom. 2nd 40/40 LBC’s, 3rd 30/30 squats, 20/20 merkins, audible back to the coupon pile via the trail. Coupons and Runner called exercise while running to the fire hydrant. 6 rounds. a Few power skips and high knees and time was called.

  • Proper LPA

    6 titans of the gloom posted to Timberwolf to shake off a long week. Was 4 until Oyster came screaming in at launch! Then McRib rounded out the half dozen as we moseyed. No this was not the LPGA like you would think with my name. It was the venerable Light Pole Alley. We had a few newbies to the proper LPA so it was time to show them the way. According to the trash truck man here is what went down:

    COP- Mosey to the front lot so McRib could join us. 20 each SSH, LBC; 10 Each DQ’s, Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Tic/Toc’s, Coper head squat, Dead man hang, Merkins, Flutters, Dollies.  

    The thang: LPA. Starting with 50 at both ends and reducing by 5 each round. Started with Merkins, then an array of 10 exercises including more merkins. Still time. A quick 4 corners on the tennis court. Then to the wall for peoples chair with 3 rounds of 10 donkey kicks.

    Announcements: HDHH coming for Southside, will put on slack.

    Prayer Requests: HM’s dad, family who was impacted from I95 wreck. Lives near Mcgruff, 39YO father of 3.

  • Don’t Sh!t where you eat

    Another Flex Friday on Satan’s Hill or was it. A lucky 7 rose from the fartsack to make themselves better. Unfortunately the farts came with them. According to my college football coach you do not sh!t here you eat. You wanna do that stuff, go somewhere else. Clock struck 5:30 and away we went.

    COP: Mosey down to otterdale and up Otterdale, to end of turn lane and back to lot. COP- 20 each SSH, LBC; 10 Each DQ’s, Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Tic/Toc’s, Coper head squat, Dead man hang, Merkins, Flutters, Dollies.  

    The thang: Dora Run from coupon pile to Stop sign. 100 Merkins, 200 coupon press, 150 curls/150 bench press. Triple check Runner up satan’s hill, jump rope, LBC’s. Dealers choice runner to curb and calls exercises. Time up. BTF

  • Flex Friday

    Late to post 6 redwoods came out for a flex friday of coupon work.

    COP we warmed up with various exercises.

    Runner was timer while other 5 did 10-20 reps of rotating coupon exercises

  • Assorted 6 pack

    A 6 pack of men braved the morning mist in order to start the week off right. These 6 were undeterred by a cold front and some rain. According to the soon to disappear frogs, this is what happened:

    COP: COP- 20 each SSH, LBC; 10 Each DQ’s, Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Tic/Toc’s, Coper head squat, Dead man hang, Merkins, Flutters, Dollies.  

    The thang: Grab a coupon. Triple #1 Curls, Triceps and runner to the stop sign. Triple #2 Rock copters, Bent rows, runner to the permit box. #3 Lat raises, overhead press, runner to top of the lot. Next assorted coupon exercises. Sprint to top of lot. Mosey back and another 75% sprint. 2 minutes of stretches to finish.

    Announcements: Rosco daughter is getting married! Good luck to the groom.

  • PR Walk/Run

    Most Ran 7-10 miles. Some walked 3.75 miles.

  • Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

    A lucky 7 posted to SH this gloom to start the week right. My Browns had somehow managed to lose a game after leading by 13 with 1:30 on the clock. This was the theme of today’s beatdown.

    COP- 20 each SSH, LBC; 10 Each DQ’s, Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Plank jacks, Coper head squat, Dead man hang, Merkins, Flutters, Dollies.  

    The thang: First 5 mailboxes complete 20 Merkins. Next 4 complete 13 WWII’s, Next 3 31 Imperial Walkers, Next 2 61 SSH, Last 1 2 Burpees. Next complete all exercises at every fourth mailbox. Down the trail to the logs, partner and complete 20 presses X 4. To the coupon pile to round out last 5 minutes with various coupon exercises.
