  • Ideal Broga

A late night inquiry for Broga was what YHC needed to get the morning started right. Perfect conditions were on tap for a pair of Broga regulars to hit No Toll early. Chaplain called for hamstrings and hips to be the focus of todays’ routine and YHC happily obliged while throwing in some shoulders and back work as well. Pigeon is always a crowd favorite and no exception this morning. Thanks Chap for the encouragement to get up this morning.

  • Bask in the Cool, Moist Glow

A group of 13 strong dressed in the latest clubbing fashion to hit the early morning rave on the UR practice fields. According to the numerous travelers traveling River Road at ludacris speed, this is what supposedly occurred.

Upon the timely arrival of Handshake, off we go with a short mosey to Henricos’ smallest park. Introductions, disclaimers, warmups of various activities. Variety of mumble chatter ensued with YHC losing track of cadence for a portion. All good and warm, lets mosey down River.

Light traffic to the plush green fields of the UR practice fields where glow sticks were laid out in various positions around the perimeter. PAX huddles up in the middle of the field where instructions were given to venture out to each glow stick and perform 20 reps of exercise listed on card. Return to the center after each set to perform 3 burpees and continue to another station. 11 stations total as 1 glow stick was misplaced in preparation. Exercises included: merkins, ball dippers, WWII’s, squats, butterflys with coupons, imperial squat walkers, HRM, dying cockroaches, american hammers, mountain climbers & pole smokers. Some PAX completed extra rounds but good times were enjoyed. Still time on the clock after one round. Collect the glow sticks, coupons & cards and lets MBTTVF with glow sticks in hand. Quick stop for the turtles at Saab’s driveway, Upchuck led the rabbits in quick round of exercises.

Still time, Triple Check was called with timer running the loop, squats and LBC’s. 2 rounds completed before clock struck time.

A late call was made in the waning hours of the eve prior. 3 veteran brogiis heeded the call and eventually turning into a quartet. With intel on the upcoming workout, legs, hips and hamstrings were emphasized. Shoulders and back were worked into the mix as well. Prayers for quality housekeeping to those regulars on current and upcoming travels.

Thought it was a fun idea to listen to interesting workout music playlist crafted by my Taylor Swift obsessed 2.0. Song requests were made but denied, with Machismo really getting into the beats during the really absurd amount of Dirty Hookups. Good times and interesting music was enjoyed by all. Good to have Swamp Donkey back out with us. Thank you gents for joining me on this adventure. Great work.

Humidity was intense and the booyah merkins were no joke. Thank you fellas for joining in the fun.

  • Southside Italian Night

YHC and his 2.0’s had the honor of preparing a dinner for 10 of Southsides finest gents. Based on the menu organized by my daughter and shopping performed by my son, this is what was on the menu for Sunday night feast.

Ceasar Salad with all the fixins

Lasagna with Italian Sausage and Garlic Bread/Rolls (choice of either)

Brownies, Cookies and Ice Cream for Desert

Ice Tea, Lemonade (both original and raspberry)

Gentlemen were out enjoying the day in the back and were very grateful for the meal. Really nice facility and it was great preparing this with the family.

Encourage everyone to participate in this easy project that is fulfilling and inclusive with other family members. Great laughs and conversation throughout the day in preparation of the meal. Look forward to participating again soon.

  • Hate a Snuff Q

A lucky 7 Forgers converged onto the Forge to see what Snuff had planned for the back side of his 1 and 1 Q’s. No prior Forgecast led to a Snuffless start. No flare box emerged but conditions were ideal, Sunny and 70 so Hot Potato was called with YHC starting us off.

Between shoulder taps, bear crawls and a Beast Lite, shoulders are burned. Good to have Showcase join us again before he heads home to Bristol, come back anytime or invite open for the PAX to venture to F3 Bristol for a lovely, flat AO. Hot Potatoe Q’s are always a welcome adventure, just brutal to lead a Beast with Burpees. Well done gents.

  • Avoid the Suck

A full house hand of Aces and Jokers fought off the comfort and dryness of the fart sack to embrace the damp and cooler conditions of Tuckahoes darkest AO. Daylight savings would not hold these fine gents back. This is what was rumored to have occurred according to the safety cone placement specialist.
