  • Poppin Bands

    A pair of Broga veterans took to the muggy patio at River Road Baptist Church to limber up before an EF Hutton beatdown. Full body work today with shoulders, back, hammys and glutes over emphasized. Banks were broken but no injuries were posted. Shavasana was generous and much enjoyed. Well done today boys.

  • Get on your knees and close your eyes

    A trio of brogiis embraced the ideal conditions for an early morning stretch session. Full body work today with an extended shavasana to enjoy the perfect morning weather. Headlights are an unwelcome distraction but the ambient mumble chatter made for a good time. Well done fellas.

  • Easy Fella, this is the Lounge

    5 SOJ studs met up with 2 of Tuckahoes finest to sneak past the velvety ropes and into the tepid embrace of the Lounge. YHC held strong that the Q obligation would overrule the embrace of the fartsac. Although tempting, YHC made his return to join fellow loungers of similar approaches.

    Mosey to the base of Twin Team Hill for introductions and disclaimers. Warm up included a variety of exercises and catching up with recent tales of the summer.

    Mosey down to the path and into Robious Forest for a quick DORA. 100 LBC, 200 squats, 300 flutters. Timer runs 100 yds+/- and back.

    Wosey back to play some Frogger across Robious. Lunge walk and Ukranian Soilders 1/2 way to the baseball fields. Mosey back over to the black top for some wall work. PAX performs Peoples Chair or other activity of your choosing while one person lunges, runs or bear crawls across the blacktop and to the end of the line. 4 rounds and lets move.

    Mosey to the benches for a few sets of elevated merkins, steps ups and dips. BTTVF flag for quick stretch. Names Numbers, Announcements and Prayers. YHC took us out.

    Prayers to Rodeo Clowns family friend that was lost in the recent Texas floods.

    NMS: Good to be back at the Lounge with a great crew. Good Mumble Chatter and good mix of laughs had by many. Topics included beach week, summer plans, boating and empty nesting. Keeping Senor Frog at a casual pace is tough. Thank you boys for the opportunity to start the morning of in a good mood.

  • Back in the Saddle

    It has been a few weeks and many excuses but YHC finally returned the friendly confines of First Watch to enjoy the comradery, humor and humidity. No Q on the sheet at 4.54 so lets make it this official. Many regulars and new faces, atleast to me, joined in for a legendary beatdown to some.

    Moseyed to the point of the triangle for introductions and disclaimers followed by various exercises some in cadence, others in conversation. Good times were had by most.

    Continue down to Country Squire to begin the Lindsay back up to River Road. Exercises included LBC’s and Carolina Dry Docks. Cross over River Road avoiding early morning commuters along the way. Mosey down to Club Vista cut thru for a proper Dora. 100 merkins, 200 squats, 300 LBC’s while timer runs to River and back.

    Catch me if you Can. Partner performs 2 burpees and chases after skipper who is heading in the direction of the triangle park. Switch and repeat.

    Mosey back to the parking lot for a quick 4 corners. 10 HR merkins, 20 jump squats, 30 2 count flutters, 40 monkey humpers.

    BTTVF for an Ab ring of fire. PAX holds canoe while rotating exercises completed by each person. 90 seconds of broga until time was called.

    Summer tour rolls on. Whitesnake leading a crew to the Bridge on Saturday leaving from various points at 5.30 and 6. See slack.

    NMS. YHC has been MIA for many weeks for various reasons (100 days of May, beach week, bad back, too hot, too humid, rain, etc.) but glad to be back at FW for what has been too long. Good to meet Maurice for the 1st time along with many of the regular tales. Mumble Chatter is always the highlight and today did not disappoint. Good to get back at it and thank you to the boys for giving me the opportunity to lead. Good work fellas.

  • Stay Loungy My Friends

    Dos of the Most Interesting Men in the World beat the warmer temps to discover the happenings at the Lounge. Here is how thing went down.

    Mosey to the main entrance of James River High School for causal warmarama. Mainly stretching with a bit of short cardio, all in conversation.

    Mosey on down to the Swamp for some track work. 4 corners was called as the field was a bit dewey along with the fear inspiring sign to lay off the grass. Round 1: 10 Merkins, 20 WWII’s, 30 Squats, 40 Monkey Humpers. Round 2 – same exercises but add 5 to each rep. 2 laps completed was good enough.

    Mosey up to the baseball fields using various methods of movement including lunges, high knees, butkickers, etc. Go thru the gate across the field and to the blacktop.

    Short 11’s: 1 squat run across the short side of the blacktop for 10 curbside merkins, brocode style.

    Mosey around the school to get some bench work in with dips and step ups. 2 rounds.

    BTTVF with 2 quick mosey laps around the loop. Announcements, Prayers, YHC took us out.

    Announcements: Chaplains Abtacular Event happening next Saturday (6/28) at Rock and Roll. Come get that 18 pack you need for pool season. Homegrown Half planned for August. Summer Tour continues on.

    NMS: After a week of questionable parental guidance, YHC needed to get back into the morning routine with some good intellectual discussions. Always enjoy the smaller 1 on 1 beatdowns as many world problems were solved with the quality mumble chatter. Thank you for joining me this morning Chaplain. Great times.

  • Move Things Along

    A wonderful group of 5 FW regulars decided to test the conditions this morning. Just a mere sprinkle. In search of cover we mosey over to the church for dry introductions and disclaimers all in conversation. These included dead man hang, SSH’s, Jazzercise and some other items.

    7 of Clubs was that call for the day. At each of the 3 covered areas perform multiple of 7 exercises (up to 28) while running inbetween. Exercises included HR Merkins (7), WWII’s (14), Squats (21), Lunges (i think was 28), LBC’s (21), Shoulder Taps(14) and Flutters (7).

    Mosey back to the main entrance for Quintuple Check. Timer runs to the brick structure. Exercises included Peoples Chair, Ukrainian Soldiers, Balls to the Wall, Dirty Hookups. 2 rounds completed.

    Stop back at the 1st covering for a quick exercise then BTTVF for numbers, names, announcements and prayers. YHC took us out so Atilla could get back to handle business.

    Announcements: Convergence on Monday; Breaking Bread looking for someone on Saturday; Summer Tour commeth soon.

    NMS: Phenomenal group of fellows came out to complain about the rain, but still showed up. Thank you fellas for not leaving me on my own. Good mumblechatter was had as typically expected at FW. Thank you boys for the opportunity to lead.

  • Sevens All Around

    13 was the lucky number this morning that came out to enjoy the amazing conditions at No Toll. Here is how things went down.

    5.30 struck so off we go with a short cut thru the paved trail to the lush turf. Overnight rains made conditions a bit sloppy but we persevered. Mobile COT this morning with salutations and disclaimers on the fly. Variety of exercises across the field and back included lunges, arm circles, Ukrainian Soldiers, High Knees, Butt Kickers, Imperial Walkers and some Michael Phelps.

    Mosey over to the dry parking lot where 7 of diamonds was called. 4 corners each round where exercises were performed in various reps. Round 1 – 7 reps each corner (HR Merkins), Round 2 – 14 reps (WWII’s), Round 3 – 21 reps (Jump Squats), Round 4 – 28 reps (Monkey Humpers), Round 5 – 21 reps (American Hammers), Round 6 – 14 reps (Lunges), Round 7 – 7 reps (Burpees).

    Wosey to the far end of the lot for triple check. Timer runs the loop, exercises were pole smokers & curb crawls.

    Slow mosey BTTVF back across the fields and thru the paved wooded trail for a bit of Mary. PAX holds Canoe while everyone performs 10 reps of their favorite ab exercise. 1 round completed.

    NMS: Strong group this morning. YHC had to change plans after the overnight weather to stay dry, which was accomplished. Put in the bin for another day. Good mumble chatter throughout the Pax including Doozy’s anniversary tales from 24 years of wedding bliss. Congrats brother. Good to see Bromance and Woodsman back out at No Toll.     A good looking mixture of runners and loungers hit the pleasant temps awaiting them at Twin Team Lounge. 2 adventurers went out to explore crevasses deep while 3 stayed for a kettlebell for the ages. Here is how things went down for the bellers.

    Mosey to the grassy playing fields behind the school for introductions and salutations. Warm up in conversation that included Helicopters, Dead Man Hang, Ukrainian Soldiers, Pigeon right, Pigeon left, more dead man hang and some other stretching. Mosey back around the school to collect the kettle bells.

    Wosey to the black top for a triple check. Timer runs the blacktop perimeter with others performing Goblet Squats and WWII’s. Round 2 included stationary timer performing 20 single count lunges with exercises of American Hammers and Lawnmower Pulls.

    Mosey to the bus loop for another triple check. Timer runs the bus circle with other performing Squat Thrusts and KB Swings.

    Mosey around to the benches for a quick round of step ups, inclined merkins and dips. BTTVF for 1 minute of mary when runners returned for numbers, names, announcements/prayers. YHC took us out.

    Prayers for those participating in Century Classic this evening/tomorrow morning. Best of health and good times hanging out in the van.

    NMS: Been a minute since KB was called at the Lounge. It was quickly obvious that YHC had no game plan but good mumble chatter between the bellers. Not many reps when Doozy is the timer but good times were had by all. Singer and Bullseye traveled into Tarrington to the River and back up. Based on their return attire, summer humidity is upon us.   • Insomnia Broga

    2 regular F3 Brogiis were so excited for Attila FW Q that sleep was not on the menu. Like a pair of 8 year olds at Christmas, they sprang from their abodes with excitement, broga mats in hand to enjoy the ideal conditions that awaited them at the River Road Baptist Church. Shoulders, Hips, Back and Glutes were well represented in the plan this morning. Good mumble chatter among the regular moans and groans. Thank you for joining me Hutton.

  • Broga with a Drizzle

    3 Broga veterans hit the courts of No Toll for ideal conditions in the 2025 debut. Conversation was strong over the groans and breaths of stretches. Emphasis on hips, shoulders, hammys and back. All the popular poses were encouraged and emphasized including pigeon, warriors (I & II) and childs pose. Shavasana was short and sweet due to the slight rain that arrived. Good times were had by most. Thanks fellas for joining me. Good to have both House Party and Chaplain out again.
