  • Sleeping in a Pizza Box

A dozen of the RVA’s finest enjoyed the lush and tepid temperatures for a fine spring morning in the gloom. YHC clock strikes 5.30 so off we go to some of the PAX complaints. Nonetheless, the Q has control and is not afraid to abuse it.

Mosey to the the plush fields to find sprinklers in full force on the 1st field, no worries there, we just continue onto the next field to enjoy the dry but pristine conditions. Introductions and Salutations were held including recognizing the return of Tin Man himself to the gloom. Numbers, Names, Prayers, Announcements. Good luck to Family L. Woods on their upcoming arrival. NTB potluck send off in a few weeks. May your nails and screws in your house be secure. YHC took us out. Wonderful coffee afterwards provided by your favorite F3 barista – Snuff. Please contribute to the coffee stash if you can.

NMS: Great group enjoyed the pristine conditions in the gloom today. Good tales covering a variety topics were enjoyed throughout the beatdown. Counting was optional but encouraged. Great to have Squiggy up from Raleigh for work. Always good to have Gumbo return to his childhood stomping grounds for some quality tales. Thank you boys for the opportunity to enjoy the morning with everyone. Rumor has it DK is taking the Q for an upcoming episode or 2.

  • Broga Return at No Toll

Two broga regulars were joined by an F3 Broga rookie for the ideal morning routine pre beatdown. Areas of emphasis included hips, quads, hammys, shoulders, back and a bit of calves. Shavasana was enjoyed by the PAX. Good to be joined by Chaplain and bring Dealer out to the enjoy the breathing and finer parts of the gloom.

  • Epic Beatdown

A pair of SOJ regulars embraced the quant conditions that awaited us at Betty Weaver Memorial Elementary School for a beatdown that will forever be known as one of the most strenuous and tiring. 15+ miles were conquered, mostly up hill per YHC calculations. Some stops were taken to lift fallen trees single handed, wrestle escaped tigers and help old ladies across the street. So much was accomplished, it is hard for YHC to recall.

Prayers for Tin Man and his family for a swift recovery. Coffee was enjoyed by all participants with good tales and laughs. Always good catching up with Rosie. Safe travels for those out of town and looking forward to Boberry’s Tribute to the Don next week. Thank you Rosie for showing up and helping lead. Great work today.

  • Yachty Rock

A Trio of Trios enjoyed the euphoric conditions of spring to welcome YHC back to the FW Q sheet. Inspiration was provided by prior mumble chatter and an incredible playlist of EF Hutton. How to build on this…..so here is how things went down.

Mosey to the front of the church for introductions, salutations and disclaimers. Warmarama was performed without numbers to embrace quality discussions and solve most of the worlds problems. Warm ups included SSH’s (Kubotas favorite), Dead Man Hang, Helis, DQ’s, Merkins (1 or 2 is fine), LBC’s, and a touch of broga to work out Attilas BP injuries. Playlist commences with quality Yacht Covers by underappreciated Yacht Rock influencer, the Professor.

Mosey to the parking lot with tunes a blazing where a 7 of diamonds was called. 7 HR merkins, 14 jump squats, 21 WWII’s, 28 Monkey Humpers, 21 American Hammers (2 ct), 14 Lt. Dans, 7 Burpees. Spine was the gazelle and proceeded to burpee for the 6.

Mosey to the side wall for a bit of Pigskin work. Hoedowns, Mike Tysons & Donkey Kicks.

Numbers, Names, Prayers, Announcements. Upchuck is looking for leadership at the Bridge, Sign up for Breaking Bread.

NMS: Great morning to clean the pollen of the church parking lot. Quality mumblechatter is always encouraged when numbers are kept to a minimum. Sometimes showing up is the victory so YHC is appreciative for the Pax coming out today. Tunes were inspired by EF Hutton, Kubota and Gumbo conversation a few weeks ago about what constitutes Yacht Rock. Its a lifestyle that can not be bottled into a genre. Enjoy it when you hear it. Great work today fellas. Thanks for the opportunity to lead.

  • Nothing but Oil and Cowboy Boots

A quintet of flexible men dusted off their F3 embroidered broga mats for a bit of stretching prior to the FW beatdown. Conditions were ideal to get back into the groove with emphasis on shoulders, hips, hammys, groin and back. Extended shavasana in the holistic temps was pleasant, less pollen would have made it quite sensational. Good laughs and quality groans were enjoyed by all. Well done fellas.

  • My Goodness, My Guiness

A smooth bakers dozen of SOJ finest leprechauns embraced the cooler temps for a joyous St Pattys Day Beatdown. Here is how things went down in our search for the elusive pot of gold.

Mosey to the large parking lot paying the toll along the way 20 dips and 20 incline merkins at the bridge. Continue the mosey with eventful mumble chatter persisting along the way.

Circle up for introductions and salutations. Rule of the day for anyone not wearing green, a burpee is required following each exercise. Warmarama included the following: SSH’s, DQ’s, Helis, Jazzercise (with toe taps), Merkins, LBC’s, DeadBugs, a bit of Broga. Burpees were appropriately allocated along the way.

BTTF for 1 burpee as time was called.

Numbers, Names, Announcements and Prayers. Oyster looking for Breaking Bread volunteer for Sunday March 29th. Good time and great way to include your family in this awesome cause. Sweet talk a few Kotters and missed faces into emerging from their winter stables to embrace the gloom.

YHC took us out followed by coffee (thank you Snuff) and appropriate Irish beverages provided for celebration by the Pax.

NMS: Good to get back on the Q sheet after a long hiatus. Typically St. Pattys is a good start to the spring like temps, however seems like the 4th winter is still upon us. Good to see some new faces out and coffee is always enjoyed. Green is not a popular color for F3RVA clan so burpees were properly distributed instead of pinching. Always a fun time at the top of the morning. Thank you boys for the opportunity to lead.

  • In Perpetuity for a Bit

A fine variety of 8 enjoyed the pristine temperatures that awaited the PAX for a well planned beatdown that was seconds in the making. Following Ronnie fishtailing his way into the parking lot, we went off for a variety of adventures and games. Here is how things went down.

Mosey to the point of the triangle for introductions and disclaimers. Avoid any straggling ice along the route. Exercises, all in conversation, included Helicopters, DQ’s, Jazzercise, Ukrainian Soldiers, Arm Circles among others.

Mosey down S. Ridge with stops along the way Lindsay style. Exercises included Mountain Climbers and Squats. Brocode style ending up at the base of Overlook.

Mosey up a portion of Overlook for a noncounting Dora. Timer runs up the street and back. 1 round of merkins, 2 rounds of WWII’s, 3 rounds of LBCs. Mosey back down to Ridge.

Catch me if you can on the way back up Ridge. Traveler lunges while partner performs 10 shoulder taps or jump squats then off to catch the traveler. Switch. Traveler switches to reverse lunge a portion up the hill. Mosey back to the tip of the triangle.

Another round of exercises with drydocks and running.

Enter into the parking lot for a rhombus shaped 4 corners. 10 merkins, 20 somethings, 30 monkey humpers, 40 SSH’s.

NMS: Great temps greeted the PAX although some dressed for cooler temps. A mixture of cooler breeze and warmer drafts awaited the PAX along Ridge. Good conversation along the way with some critiquing of YHC exercise selection and preparation. Great group as always a good time awaits in the early gloom. Well done fellas, thanks for the opportunity to lead.

  • Shaking of the Dust

A trio of highly trained and fairly good looking lads answered the early call to bring a bit of Broga back with the summer weather. Conditions were soggy so under the protection of the church canopy was the preferred location for this early morning session. Back, hips, quads and calves were the focus this morning. A bit rusty in the communication and directions but mumble chatter was always enjoyable, almost as much as shavasana. Well done fellas.

  • Not Suitable for Kids

6 of the very best RVA can produce descended on the immaculate scenery of Bettie Weaver for the latest escapades of Twin Team Lounge. With the upcoming frozen triangle for some and the workout return after an extended hiatus for others, today offered the perfect tonic of intensity and finely calculated exercises that is required at such an establishment. Here is how things went down.

Mosey to the bus loop, careful to avoid the icy spots for your typical introductions and disclaimers. Warmups were all lounge style (no numbers required) that included SSH’s, Helis, Jazzercise, lunges, i think some squats, maybe? along with anything else that YHC may be missing.

Mosey over to the carefully laid out manmaker blocks for a triple check. Timer lunges across the bus circle and back, windshield wiper merkins and LBC’s for those waiting behind. YHC quickly found another block from the carefully stockpiled stack for the next set of exercises.

Partner up for a Loungy Dora. No counting here. Timer skips across the circle and back. Each person rotates and does 1 set of curls, 2 sets of block pulls, 3 sets of block presses.

Still time on the clock. 100’s it is. Mosey to the blacktop partially covered in ice. Exercise is called. 1st person to 100ish hollers out and we mosey to the opposite side. Exercises included squats, jazzercise, arm circles, american hammers, maybe urkranian soldiers?

Mosey back around to the virtual flag for a bit of mary merkins. Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayers. YHC took us out.

    Announcements: Frozen Triangle

Prayers: All those participants in the Frozen Triangle.

NMS: Its been 2 weeks since YHC has posted due to the weather and nursing a bad back. YHC is not the only one on the mend as Rosie and I were both hurt our backs moving large objects to save distressed playboy models. Typical chivalrous tasks for Loungers. Great group of fellas to enjoy the company. Great having Wojo cut through the velvety ropes and join us this morning. Coffee was great as always. Thanks fellas for giving me the opportunity to lead.

  • Can’t Feel My Legs

7 Elf impersonators including 1 down ranger arose from their eggnog heavy cocoons to embrace the findings at this holiday version of the Twin Team Lounge. Knees were mostly covered by the Pax but all company was enjoyed. Here is how things went down.

Mosey to the black top for introductions and disclaimers. Warm up included SSH’s, Helis, Jazzercise, Merkins, Dead Man Hang and a bit of Broga. Mosey over to the play ground for a triple check. Timer runs half the field and returns to find partners doing hanging V ups and Mountain Climbers. Not much time passed so back to the black top for 11’s. Exercises included jump squats and American Hammers. This ate the clock.

Line up against the wall for Leap Frog Fun. Pax performs Peoples Chair or some opted for Balls to the Wall. Single member bear crawls or lunges across the black top and runs back to the front of the line. Pax caught on after round 1 and decided to adequately space themselves to move this along.

BTTVF for a bit of plank and additional broga. Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayers. YHC took us out.

Announcements: News Years Day Convergence @ DogPile 7 am.

Rousey is leading a Polar Plunge on Saturday at Reedy Creek. 7 am plunge followed by meat smoking party on site as you warm your bits. Bring your own meats to be enjoyed.

Naked Moleskin: Great turnout on a post Christmas Beatdown. Good mumblechatter about Holiday festivities and family avoidance. Coffee afterwards is always quality way to catch up with Pax. Great to meet Pad Thai’s, inlaw from Dallas come out along with Dig Dug and Rousey streaking.

YHC is out of town next Friday so if someone is interested in heading up Twin Team Cafe, I can bring the fixings by sometime during the week.

Thank you fellas for the opportunity to lead. Always a good time at the Lounge.
