  • Blistery Winds Run

YHC and Bullseye left the parking lot in seek of protection from the elements, and so Salisbury it was. Out Oakengate to Winterfield and back, 4.5+miles were logged.

Apologies to Draper, heard the car horn as we crossed the street but thought it was a ‘hello’ beep and not a ‘wait for me’ beep. Bullseye and I turned around several times on the straightaway, pausing to see if anyone was joining, before plunging into the depths of the dirt road near Ms. Weaver’s house.

    Conversations were had and appreciated.

  • Running on Empty

No ties to the run itself, just seemed like a classic name for a F3 run. YHC had Grinch-esque ideas of running a Tarrington loop so off we went. The route was not disclosed until the hill was underway. Ha, got em. 4.35 miles in total up Tarrington and through Powderham -> Brigstock, Solstice -> Twin Team and home.

    Stay safe.

  • Playing life by a different set of rules….

4 men gathered for Heartbreak Ridge to ensure no man was left behind, or left alone.

YHC pulled into the Parking Lot to see one set of headlights, our 1st F (Retired) was waiting. A couple minutes later two shadows appeared in the distance, it was Offshore and Joey Chestnut. In order to avoid the icy roads they decided to run the 2.2 miles to the workout.

Off we launched. More moseying today to prevent snow filled faces and backs and to keep us moving in the cold weather.

At the end of the workout Offshore and Joey Chestnut were offered a ride home to prevent running the 2.2 miles back home but they politely declined. Their masculine dominance had already been established but it was 100% secured at this point.

Announcements – Kubota has the Q for The Bridge on December 27th. Breaking Break needs a Q both the 27th and 28th.

    Prayer Requests – none

NMS – YHC was worried that with as many different Pax members that could show up on a Tuesday that the AO would stand empty. YHC posted on Slack and sent out a text to those within a reasonable driving distance to get a head could and only got a couple commitments. YHC was happy to not be the only one. YHC also realizes that compared to Offshore and Joey Chestnut that he is a Beta Male.

  • Spider Solo…

Not surprisingly, YHC was the only knucklehead who attempted a run this morning, yet managed to cover 5 miles throughout the well-brined roads of UR.

    Saab abides

  • Difference of opinion

3 grown A$$ HIM showed up to see if Doozy really could figure out how to download a Tabata Timer App onto his Iphone. Like that we start with a 5 minute warm up, timer has everything scheduled where all YHC had to do was call the exercises. First lap was set to 2:30 and a request was made to get a little more time on the next lap. YHC was able to adjust the lap time to 3:00 but that going to shorten the overall time. The last lap was a once around, numbers/ names and Applesauce took us out.

NMS: @applesauce is a fan of the loosing team from this weekend and was able to provide all the reasons why they might have lost to the Hoosiers this Saturday. 🤷‍♂️

  • Hyrox F3 Style

YHC started off the day by picking up Matlock and a special guest, cutting off Swoop, and running an errand…

Roll up at 5:29, hop out, let’s go.

Mosey to cul-de-sac and back. The other week we got a lot of Ohio St facts, so I started off with some Hoosier-Daddy smack talk. 1 SSH for each point OSU scored and various other warm-up routines. YHC strongly suggested the PAX shed some layers and embrace the weather. Some obliged, some were stubborn. Arm Circles + Intensive Stares worked.

To the tennis courts we go…

    4 stations setup
    1) bands tied to chain-link fence for “ski” pulls
    2) sandbags for squat thrusters
    3) bands tied to fence, around waist for shuttle runs
    4) broad jump burpees

Split into 4 groups, 90 seconds AMRAP, then run as a group ~1/2 mile, switch to new station. Made it through 5 rotations

Good work fellas! Was good to see some shorts out there today. Next Week Rudy’s Light run, followed by Nightmare Before Christmas and 12 Days of Christmas at No Toll

    NMS:

Great to be able to post and Q at my old stomping grounds again for a snow(?) day!
