  • 3rd Piece of Stromboli

9 strong came out to end the week right where it is always 70 and soupy. The mornings are getting shorter, need to use the light while we have it. Coming off the F3 Fantasy draft where our gracious host DK stuffed us full of wings and a definitely not needed 3rd slice of Stromboli this was a struggle for YHC.

Quick mosey around the to start.  COP- 20 each SSH, LBC; Willy Mays Hayes, 10 Each, Jim Duggan’s,  Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperials Walkers, , Copper head squat, Cherry pickers, Merkins, Dollies, Flutters.

  • Sweet 16

There were 16 of us and as a combined entity we were a force to be reckoned with.

COP: DMH, DQs, merkins, plank jacks, FMs, arm circles. Mosey to back of school.

Dora with run to light pole, 50 burpees, 100 high pulls and 150 curls. After a couple sets my pulls were not too high and my curls turned into a combo back/bicep exercise. Mosey to curb.

10 2 count lawnmower pulls, 10 presses, then 15 of each then 20 of each. Triple check time.

Triple check with sit and press, overhead LBCs (with coupon) and the pacer is lunging across the road and small hill. Mosey to wall near coffeeteria.

One minute wall sits (this received a couple of complaints), donkey kicks. Repeato and then wall sit with 10 presses. Bear crawl with coupon across road then rifle carry back.

Finished with American Hammers and 45 seconds of stretching. Good crowd with medium mumble chatter and some spotty counting for cadence. Prayers for Roger Roger’s friends and friend’s family, Fudd’s sister, Fudd’s friend’s son in Miami, Handshake’s niece and others with health issues. The amount of folks with ailments seems up. Hopefully through prayer the tide can turn. Convergence Labor Day at 7 a.m. – Dogpile and a Pre Wedding party on 9/6 at Tater’s house in fashionable Goochland at 4 p.m. See slack for details. Thanks for letting me lead!

  • Like A Rolling Stone

After a brisk jog around the bus circle, at the foot of Mount Chaplain, a surprise awaited — a stash of pavers hidden behind a bush, courtesy of DTH, who apparently moonlights as the Easter Bunny of concrete. From that moment on, the stones became our best friends. They got lifted, rolled, dragged, pressed, and cursed at. If you were here, you carried rocks. If you weren’t here, your shoulders thank you.

NMS:  Solid PAX for The Crossing to kickoff the back to school season. Many invites sent, just the right HIMs answered. Big welcome to Steve Martin, now “REACHER” who is a State Trooper, former Army, and recently accepted salvation in our church. He’s been the F2L definition of “The Reacher” for many years, and is now super pumped to step into community. Also welcome back to Figo, who just “loved” being back at the DTH grind… Let’s see if he’s got what it takes to keep posting! Sincere thanks to the consistency and camaraderie of Chaplain, Broadway, and Ghostbuster holding the Crossing together even when numbers have been few. In the good Lord’s perfect way, we WILL grow this thing!  Yours AYE! ~DTH
