After getting knocked down with a nasty cold last week and missing two bootcamps (many thanks to Mountain Oyster for covering the Q!), YHC got back on the horse this morning with a slightly lighter-than-usual recovery Q. Joined by Messi and Boardwalk, then later Tiny TRex, the PAX did a fair number of core exercises, hit the hill once with variable movement exercises, completed a triple check, and also some other fun things under the big tent where they’ve set up a stage in preparation for Holy Week services that will go every night Wed-Sat. God is good all the time, and YHC is so thankful to be nearly done with the viral crud. Make it a good one brothers! ~DTH

Five brave souls showed up on a dark, early, wet morning with bright stars. We did one of the usual culdesacs routs. After a warm-up in the first culdesac, we did 15 Hand-Release Merkins and 30 two-count Flutterkicks on one side and 10 Carolina Dry Docks and 60 LBCs on the other side. Didn’t have time to run around lake, so went directly back to the Flag.

All Along
White Snake had to go for his daughter audition. Gypsy texted the previous day that he was coming, but cancelled later. So, had to run all by myself. Ran five miles. Met several runners along the way, but they also refused to join me after my good morning. So, maybe it is me…
Usual apologies for the delay.

Are We Going to Stand Directly Across from Each Other?
Two avoided The Fart Sack in exchange for a crisp spring morning. Temperatures were 70 and sunny. According to the guy in the blue tron vest, the following quite likely happened:
Mosey from the Stone House to Forest Hill Avenue, heading “off campus” through the stone gate, then back to the stone house for the COP.
COP
SSHs, DQs, IWs, Dead Man Hang, LBCs, flutters, WWIIs, HRMs.
Mosey to the stone staircase. Grab a stone. Any stone. But, maybe find one without worms.
First set: Carry the stone down the stairs. 10 overhead presses. Carry the stone to the top. 20 dips. Repeato x3 rounds.
Second set: Carry the stone down the stairs. 10 curls. Carry the stone to the top. 20 four-count flutter kicks. Repeato x3 rounds.
Third set: Carry the stone down the stairs. 10 squats. Carry the stone to the top. 10 snow angels. Repeato x3 rounds.
Mosey to the tennis courts to do a Prostitute. Tastefully and slowly. For the uninitiated, said exercise involves “returning to the same corner” after each round.
Round 1: 10 mercans, then back to the start for 1 burpee.
Round 2: 10 mercans, then onto corner #2 for 20 LBCs, then back to corner #1 for 10 mercans, then back to the start for 1 burpee.
Round 3: 10 mercans, then onto corner #2 for 20 LBCs, then onto corner #3 for 30 flutter kicks, then back to corner #2 for 20 LBCs, then back to corner #1 for 10 mercans, then back to the start for 1 burpee.
Round 4: 10 mercans, then onto corner #2 for 20 LBCs, then onto corner #3 for 30 flutter kicks, then onto corner #4 for 40 side-straddle hops, then back to corner #3 for 30 flutter kicks, then back to corner #2 for 20 LBCs, then back to corner #1 for 10 mercans, then back to the start for 1 burpee.
Mosey to the drop off circle(s?) for Street Light Lane. Stop at each light, do the called exercise.
10 HRMs
10 heels to Heaven
20 squats
30 invisible jump rope
15 Carolina dry docks
20 hello dollies
20 reverse crunches
10 oblique crunches, each sideTwo rounds. Completed all but the last 2 on the second round.

Announcements: Breaking Bread, Gomer has a CSAUP of SOME SORT coming up. Swim, bike, run or Run, ruck, boot. Just show up and do it.
NMS: It’s been a while since YHC has attended a 2-person beat down. Hutton raised an important issue: do we face each other directly, or stand off set? No matter. Good chatter throughout as we toured the AO.

An Unexpected 11
Unfortunately, most of the usual OTB suspects were out this morning. To get in today’s required training mileage of 14, YHC met Draper at 530 to get things started a little early. A quick(ish) 3 mile loop brought us back to Starbucks by 6 to pick up Rosie, who was looking for the usual 6-7 OTB mileage. Another loop and 7 miles later brought us back to Starbucks. YHC was expecting to bid farewell to Rosie at this point, but when it was revealed that the final loop was just 4 more miles, he was feeling good and all in.
The temps were great for a long run this morning. Thanks always to Draper for making up the routes. Over two hours of running (coupled with YHCs short attention span) is too long to remember everything that was discussed.
Safe travels for all those on vacation this week for spring break. Apparently Boberry got sick on vacation last week…so prayers for his speedy recovery.
Peace!

WaThoHuk Audit Part II
Roger Roger took us to Short Pump Park and Pigskin joined us for the first half. We did a total of 3.1 miles that day. According to my Garmin, it involved something difficult on the SPES football field. I count 1200 yards of running with exercises every 25 yards. Maybe is was a Beast but don’t recall.
We are now ready to file our 10-Q. Highlights include an average 5.1 attendees with a high of 8 and a low of 2. That’s a YoY increase of 18% from last Q1’s 4.3 average.
We had 6 different Q over 12 weeks this year which is great!
Last year we missed 3 backblasts in Q1. That is sad and it is a good thing we hired a new audit firm this year.
