  • Must have been my musk

4 gentlemen of SOJ met in the gloom to sling some iron around and 1 reluctantly joined since no other runners posted to keep him company. Carry said iron around to the back of the school in various holds. Brief warm up before the quintuple check – Timer runs to the playground for 5 pulls ups – others do presses, around the world, plank pull through, and goblet squats. Stopped at 3 rounds to have more time for other fun stuff. More carries to the bus loop – slow rows, slow presses, and maybe something else.

More carrying to the seldom used grass area in front of the school for 11s – Sit N Press, Curls. Shoulders thoroughly exhausted and back to the flag.

There may have been 13 and 15 reps of the warm up exercises to celebrate/lament the upsets of UVA and Arizona yesterday.

  • The Gavel

While on my golf trip to Myrtle Beach I made it to a workout. Harder than I thought it would be just to get up early but I did it. And I don’t regret it, even a little bit. Here’s a brief description of what we did. I only remember the name of the Q, but there 5 of us.

Warmup was your typical SSH plus some burpees, Don quyotes, Imperial walkers, and arm circles.

Moseyed over to somewhere and grabbed a cinder block. Carried the block about a 5th of a mile to a parking lot.

5 curls at each line in the parking lot (15 lines total) keeping arms at 90 degrees in between.

Next we sprinted the parking lot at 50%, 90%, and 100%.

3 overhead tricep extensions w cinder block at each line on the parking lot.

Bear crawled stopping at each line and doing 2 merkins at each line. Moseyed back to drop off the cinder blocks. Then back to the flag for an ab exercise rinf of fire.

Good group of guys. Prayers for Brown Bag, whose father just passed away.

Going to try and make it tomorrow for a 6am workout, and try bring someone with me who has never done F3.

  • Way too Late

SOT on 3/8/21. Lots of dudes hit the parking lot of middle middle.

Parking lot tracers, door exercises, some dora on the track, and some tennis court work rounded out by some curb toe touches.

Apologies for the delay in posting this, life kinda crazy right now.

Please let me know if I left anyone off fellas.

  • Speeding tickets, Andre the Giant, and Economy

Just a few random topics at the Currahee weekly meet up for miles in western westend/short. 2 dogs and 9 pax held each other accountable for beating the fart sack today. I tossed out a few roads that don’t meet up…the PAX corrected the names of the roads since they know I always mess them up and away we went.

It was the hilly Raintree route. Close to 400ft of elevation gain in 5 miles.

Have a great St. Patrick’s day.

Call a pax you haven’t seen in a while, it may be exactly what he needed to get through the day.

Consider the thoughts of someone that are different than your own. You grow through learning something new, not adhering to what you already believe or know.

  • You two are so cute….

Time to celebrate St Patty’s Day with a Pub Crawl! Grove to Lafayette to Broad and head east. Take a tour of Scott Addition and cut back on your respective cutover streets to Grove and back to the AO.

    YHC took us out.

    Announcements:

    • The Bridge next weekend – See TYA for info
    • For your calendars: CPR training in late April, Location TBD
  • The Pandaverse

Someone’s gotta celebrate National Panda Day, and that someone was us. 5 bumbling bears jacked into their Tron headsets and entered the meatverse. Not the metaverse, because no one burns calories there, but the meatverse. You know, reality.

Warmarama while listening to the Tron Legacy soundtrack because Daft Punk is excellent. SSHs, DQs, imperial squat walkers, etc. Of course, no one but YHC has seen the movie. Your loss.

Mosey to the arena where we performed the Cinco de Cheqo. Timer box jumps the big stairs, up and around. Others do flutter, kicks, squats, Carolina dry docks and WW2s. The full 5 rounds.

Lots of great mumble chatter about the good ol days of being idiot teenagers, and how technology has allowed our own teenagers to ascend to new levels of idiocy. Laughs were had by all.

Mosey back to the flag where we did finally do some actual panda stuff. Crawl one parking space, ascending mirkins at each line, all the way up to the 10th line and 10 mirkins. Run it back with lunges and double count ball dippers up to 10 for that last burnout.

Shoutout to Showcase for posting again on your work trip, so glad to have at least one authority figure around with these knuckleheads.

    COT and prayers for gratitude.

  • Miles of hills

On an especially cold and windy morning 3 men met for some running. We found some hills. Hill repeats on Mt Pisgah and Mt Midlo with timed efforts, recovery, and specific areas to work on. Everyone crushed it! Good mumble chatter that day about kids and Pokémon life lessons.
