  • I will be there

There was 7 who claimed they would be there including a guarantee that never came to pass. 1 Rucker and 4 walkers set off from The Bucks on Midlo. All came to share in some excellent mumble chatter. 60 minutes and 3.2 miles were logged.

  • One last one

2025 clean up, I’m sure I missed other backblasts, but glad I remembered this. Now, if I could only remember where we ran…

  • A long long time ago

This one time, Rosetta came to MOT and it was so surprising, I forgot to post a backlist. Now I did.

  • Hills! (and not hills)

Two of us ran hills. Two of us did not. We all got at least 4 miles. It was fun.

  • 6 Lap Tabata (details lost to time)

After only a 19-day review period, YHC is proud to finally submit this backblast. Accountability works… eventually.

Conditions: Cold. December cold. The kind where you remember it was cold, but not how cold.

    Warm-Up:
Standard F3 warm-up. We stretched. Arms went up. Arms came down.

    The Thang:
    A very typical Tabata.

    • 6 rounds
    • Running laps in between
    • Exercises occurred
    • Muscles were involved

Specific movements have unfortunately been released from memory in accordance with long-term archival policy. What is known is that everyone did the work, no one cheated (probably), and time passed at a predictable rate.

Between rounds, the PAX ran. They returned. This happened multiple times.

    Mumblechatter:
    Minimal. Focused. Professional.
Any jokes made were immediately forgotten, much like the workout.

    Attendance Notes:

    • Bodos was present and has since ensured that no one forgets it
    • OBT did OBT things
    • Offshore was offshore in name only

    COT:
    Short. Efficient. Completed.

    Backblast Notes:
    This post is late.
    Everyone knows it’s late.
This post acknowledges that it’s late.
We can all move forward now.

    TClaps:
To the PAX for showing up on 12/22
To Bodos for ensuring accountability through public ridicule
To YHC for finally closing the loop

  • Hot Potato Backblast

YHC grabbed the potato when the clock struck 5:30 with no Q in site. PAX showed up ready to work, not knowing when (or where) the potato would get passed next.

    Warm-Up / Disclaimer:
Quick stretch and arm hang to remind ourselves that yes, gravity still works and to welcome the out of towner Gold Watch. He got is name based on the longevity with his company, 38 years. Just enough to earn that gold watch.

    Four Corners of Fun:
We hit the corners with escalating pain:

    • Corner 1: 10 Burpees
    • Corner 2: 20 Freddie Mercurys
    • Corner 3: 30 Side Triple Hops
    • Corner 4: 40 Squats
    • Final Corner (because why not): 10 more Burpees πŸ’€

    Triple Check Time:
Partner up. One PAX runs the timer to the end of the tennis court and back while the other two grind through the work.
Three rounds. Everyone pays. No coupons accepted.

Hot Potato gets passed to Hitchhiker, who promptly sent us on our way for some running. YHC heard a comment from the back (Wojo) that he didn’t realize that he came to RAMM and not 45 Minutes of Mary based on all the running.

    Travel Pain:

    • Mosey to the church parking lot β†’ partner up β†’ two rounds of triple check
    • Mosey to the next church parking lot β†’ another triple check around the circle
    • Then the long road home,

    Mumblechatter:
Strong chatter throughout, highlighted by a downrange visitor from Florida, Gold Watch.

COT – Questions of the Day:

    1. True or False: A cat living in your house is a wild animal or a domesticated animal? 🐈
    2. True or False: Baldness is a disease?

Sound off below with your answers.

    YHC took us out.

  • 70 & Sunny

The gloom waits for no one, however Commando waited for 2 more to join him moments after the clock struck 06:03. We quickly got strapped with our beloved ruck sacks and marched on through the rain and fog! Great Ruck men!

  • Welcome to “Khaotic”

Side note….I usually get up earlier stretch out get a few little things done then I am on my way. This morning, woke up at 515 and went WTF so a little hustle plus make sure my 2 cats were taken care of before I left. I knew what the conditions were going to be so I was mentally ready. A few sips of my drink on the way then I arrived. The first of what will be many Qs led at Dogpile soon began with a mosey to the main circle for WARMARAMMA. SSHs, Don Quixotes, Jazzercise, Imperial Walkers, Copperhead Squats, Merkins, LBCs and Alabama got rolled by Indiana prom dates to conclude the beginning, First up down to the theater

With the steps and darkness as our canvas, we did an odd even stairway of torture(odd number incline merkins, even squats). Then to an area over by a secondary circle for one of my favorites(DORA). 100 Merkins, 200 squats, 300 LBCs with a little loop run the blood flowing, sweat in the rain cranking up. Then to the road where one day, we will return to the classic full triangle I have a couple of ideas but need to wait till a convergence or a really big group. A nice triple check(mountain climbers, lunges, chaser run to the circle and back. Afterwards to the tower, welcome to khaotic

The debut of the khaotic merkin….it is a since rep of 10 merkins touching each shoulder, each knee, each foot, cross stretch, mike tyson walk the hands back stand then end with one deep squat. Example merkin shoulder, merkin other shoulder, merkin knee etc. Combined with run up the tower steps and back down(we got screwed the lights were not on so with the rain the steps blended in and became a little tricky. I like them, now imagine doing 10+ rounds which one day will be the challenge at the tower. A little mosey to the stage in the back for a tricep dip holding feet into a suitcase squat variance(work on that more but it has potential).

One final mosey to the flag a little stretch then time was up(no going over nailed it). Announcements(see Slack big ones the Bridge upcoming in 2 weeks and frozen triangle in Feb. Prayer led by YHC to close things out(then over to Libble Market for an after F3 brekkie).

Why did I switch from RNR to Dogpile on Saturdays? I had been an RNR guy for over 3 years, but it was getting to a point that I needed a change. I had talked about going, working out at other F3 spots so it was time(overdue actually). If I had a regular work schedule, or things worked in my favor I would be at more AOs(right now I can’t without messing myself up). 2026 when the opportunity presents itself, you will see me at more spots(get over to Twin Team, No Toll, Circus Maximus, 45EMOM etc). Even on days that I feel either good or bad, I am learning what my body and mind are doing. That’s another thing I am learning if you see my heart rate and other stats, I am getting good work in but today for example my average HR was only 118(max 168). Yesterday 100 with a max of 160. I appreciate those who came out today, I look forward to my my next oneand the challenges ahead. See you soon

  • Wet and Wild

Started posting on local Facebook pages to sit up the activity. This reeled in 2 fngs with one already on the way.

4 were ready to go at 7 so we mosied around lumberyard. Shortly after before WARMARAMA 2 more pulled in, so we circled back and talked the troops. Changed plans and warms up with merkins, ssh, helicopters, Ukrainian soliders, and copperhead squats. Ran 4 corners on the football field to the 50yd marker. Merkins, then add lbcs, Bernie for MOT, squats, and add ssh.

Next we meandered over to the hill for 11s squats, crawlbear to merkins to Bernie the hill. Took a long 30 count and make a to the Pavillion area for a break from the rain. Walls of Jericho, one calls a workout and runs the perimeter while the pack performs called workout. Step ups, merkins, and whatever else i forgot.

We did a 30 second shuffle rotating through workouts under the Pavillion and wrapped up what time we had left. 3 fngs to name. We finished out adding BamBam, Bandit, and Swifty.

    MOLESKIN

Very different weather celebrating turning 41 this year. Last year YHC got to Q in the snow which I would take over this anytime.

Thanks Rosie for making the trip and help YHC celebrate with a birthday Q. Rosie and I enjoy catching up a little while the rest of the PAX arrived on “DaVille Time”

The bus loop was a challenge today while we saw up to 10 cars come through dropping off MS boys for some sport. We notice the dad’s in the car didn’t seem very interested in what we were doing

All fun enjoying the 2nd F at the Local where Yard Sale joined us as well

    SPIT ON THAT!!
