12 warriors gathered in the gloom for a Friday Bro Code run, the Q lacked the appreciation of “Bro Code” and suggested a longer route with a shorter turn option. After the mutiny cooled down the Pax took off for a beautiful cool March morning run. Along the path the Q decided the Pax had spoken and we altered the route for the less aggressive pace and finished with a @4.5 mile run for the group with a few hitting 4.88 miles. Great turn out for our Friday and talk of starting F3 lunch gathering each month for more opportunities to fellowship. West end location chime in if you would like to be part. Q closed in prayer. Remember to lift up in prayer Lighthouses’ family in the Ukraine as they are dealing with war and dangerous situations.

All aboard the Soul Train
7 regulars, an FNG, and four legged friend joined for some cool-ish weather at Currahee. We had runners and walkers alike. Runners went Pump to John Rolfe to Gaskins to Gayton to Raintree to Falconbridge to Pump and back to the school. 4.6 miles. Walkers went on their own route.
Announcements/Prayer Request – Roger Roger and his family. Lighthouse and his family and the country of Ukraine. Two Can. Husky (Kubota’s 2.0) has surgery on his arm today.
NMS – Today was great. We had an extremely motivating FNG, Soul Train. Soul Train lives near Huguenot Park and he saw the men of No Toll on Tuesday and wasn’t sure who they were or what he was seeing so he put a message out on Facebook or Nextdoor and discovered it was F3. He searched the web and found F3 and F3RVA and has been reading backblasts and seeing the schedule. He decided to try Currahee since he had seen there were walkers and he felt it was the best opportunity for his first post. I can’t say enough good things about him coming. He didn’t know anyone and he didn’t know exactly what to expect but he woke up really early and drove across town without any expectations. Good for you Soul Train. We are better people to have you in the group. Its a testament to the rest of us that the community sees us, and the community is paying attention.

It Did Happen
Even if the backblast is nearly a week late, Currahee did in fact happen. 7 dudes ran and 1 walked.

Are you FC or fc?
9 noble warriors met for this weeks edition of Currahee. 7 runners and 2 walkers
Right on Pump, Right on Ridgefield, Left into the park and take the road all the way to the back and then reverse, Left on Ridgefield, Right on Falconbridge, Right on Pump. 4.5 miles
Prayer Requests – For the Kastleberg family with Bills passing last Friday (Probations Rat from VMI). We life his family. Prayers for Roger Rogers Aunt. We also pray for Roger Rogers wife, Molly while she is going through medical isses.
Moleskin – it was a nice breezy morning. We are glad once again to see Probation, it had been far too long. Hutton is officially a regular and needs to be added to the group text so he can add his specific flavor of sizzle. Let today be a reminder to reach out to those you haven’t spoken to in a while, we never know when it will be our last.

Probation needs your help! Get Some!
10 masters of their domain greeted a cool morning for a brocode run – Currahee’s band of brothers run as one on the final Friday of the month.
Route was the old standby: Ridgefield, Copperas, Church, Pump and the backside of the school for 4.5m. Walkers took the Burnside, Glen Eagles, Ridgefield route for 2 miles.
Roger Roger took us out. Prayers for Ukraine, soldiers and people impacted on the front line.
Announcements, HDHH Wed at PBR in daville. Second anniversary of Currahee in nearly two months.
NMS –
Great to see Probation for the second time in a year. Truly. He even made it out in two conditions that violate his sensitivities, rain and below 45. Maybe he knows his MUFFIN is not going to melt itself. Maybe he fears that he will get renamed again lest the PAX disbelieve he is anything other than a FNG (Citadel?). Is it courageous for Probation to admit that negative peer pressure from the PAX is a motivator? He did make it clear that without Handshake’s post lights out brotherly text of admonishment, and nearly failing to represent the storied Institute, he would not have gotten out from the fartsack.
Well, YHC is not along is saying that we are better when Probation is amongst the PAX.
PAX in attendance, you heard it from the horses mouth: some people like to be motivated by admonishment, haranguement, threats, beratement, and cajoling…. ok men, you have your mission – get hot!
Get some!

So Warm in February
AS we gathered in the 67 degree morning and said this is so nice, we failed to remember the sweet that comes from running in the humidity! 5 miles later we were reminded of the bi-product of warm weather. 7 gathered for a run that covered many dark streets and turns that separated the pax eventually but all ended back up at the flag. Gomer and Transport continue to work on ailing body part and walked their own path but got out in the gloom to be part! Showing up is part of our mission and we appreciate them for being part of our group. Pinto closed in prayer.

Take the Hill
530 AM and the Currahee fateful is ready to launch. Word has gotten out about this AO as we had double digits again this week.
This week workout: Take the Hill
- Right on Pump
- Left on Ridgefield
- Right on Glen Eagles
We stopped at Glen Eagles to explain what we were doing. AYG to the stop sign at other end of Glen Eagles (.80 mile and a nasty ass hill 1/2 mile in). Recovery all the way back and circle back for the 6.. 30 second rest at start of Glen Eagles.. repeat.
On the way back to AO we took Old Prescott were a few of us did a tempo pace to Pump and circling back for the 6 before finishing at the launch site.
- 5.25 miles
- 312 ft of elevation gain
- 1 Crowned local legend (Homer)
- 11 pax got stronger together
NMS
Its hard to convey tolerance, fellowship, and faith when hate and intentional statements of us and them remain.
“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:14 -15
Great work by all today. Mr. Rodgers lead the pax up the hill with Homer right on his heels. Loved seeing all the new faces and regular accountability partners.
F3RVA supports the Virginia Home for boys and Girls. We still need 5 more pax to sign up.
See Offshore for Healing Place 10k training. It starts tomorrow and is on Saturdays at 7:30am 700 Dinwiddie Ave
Thank you for letting me lead today.

Welcome back Probation
11 fleet footed warriors came out prepared for rain. The rain held off until the last mile, and by then we needed it with the heat and humidity. Routes were:
4.5s:
Left on Pump, go through Gayton light, past Lake then Left onto Waltham Dr.
Left on Chauncey Ln. Chauncey turns into Raintree across Gayton.
Raintree all way until hit Ridgefield. Left on Ridgefield then go past Pump, turn into Glen Eagles and go back on Old Prescott. This hits 4.5 miles.
5s:
Same as 4s but take right into Eagles View off Ridgefield and go until hit Glen Eagles. Head back Glen Eagles then Old Prescott.
6s:
Same as 5s but add loop around Godwin to get your mileage target.
Announcements: Service opportunity 2/26 with Gypsy. Charity needs help unpacking a donated trailer of goods for local kids. Looking for 10 PAX (including older 2.0s) to help.
NMS: Great to have 11 out, even with some regular runners missing. Nice to have Probation come out and post, having not run in 6 months. He held up fine. PAX seemed to enjoy the ample hills on this route and EF Hutton and YHC were reminded of the Century Classic route we both ran for the duration of Raintree. Gypsy took off with a sub 6 minute mile on Pump with Homer in tow. Nobody seemed to get lost as the Qs instructions were meticulous. EF Hutton is an official Currahee regular now, at least once he creates his own route and Qs it soon.

No black ice to be found
4 runners took off wary of black ice and poor road conditions. All we found was bitter cold wind instead.
Gomer did his Walking thing while other 3 did:
pump to falconbridge all the way to Ridgefield. Ridgefield to Pump then loop around school.
Handshake took us out.
