11 not 10 cherry pickers assembled to harvest the fruits of Machismo’s Q. As indicated warmarama was longer than anticipated. conversation was fruitful as well.

    Excercises were :

a well thought out animal I.P. run that YHC had been thinking about since 1am.

eye of the mericane with WWII 25, squats, 50, monkey humper 75, 100 ssh.

triple check with dips and and mountain climbers.

announcements: Ragnar team Aye Aye asking one more HIM to jump off the fence to the good side. CSAUP in coming notice on slack, SOJ leadership meeting tonight, Chilli cook off at L woods on the 22nd.

Prayers: Tapanga (Down range) mom Linda with serious eye surgery. NTBs M Courtney’s Grandma passed prayers for her family.

YHC is thankful to be surrounded by Men that are leaders in their families, workplaces, and communities. As I’m short staffed this week due to injury and circumstance your prayers are appreciated to find the right person to grow my team.

  • Neighborhood Watch

The best looking of SOJ’s finest descended upon the glorious accommodations that awaited them at No Toll. Conditions were ideal for a stroll off the typical parking lot and plush fields. DJ Snuff dropped the beats so here is how things went down.

Short mosey around the basketball courts and circle up for introductions and disclaimers. Warmorama included SSH’s, Helis, Dead Man Hang, Jazzercise (with toe taps), DQ’s, another Dead Man Hang with a bit of broga mixed in.

Off we venture out towards Robious and across into the Greenleigh neighborhood.

Lindsay was 1st up with stops at each intersection for 30 Merkins, 10 squats. 25/15, 20/20, 15/25 & 10/30 until we arrived at Greenleigh park.

Triple Check with a few of your besties. Exercises included, LBC’s and Mountain Climbers, timer touches 3 different trees (no repeatos). Enough shenanigans at the park.

Burpee Road on the way back. Weave our way back thru the neighborhood using the long way. Stop at every vehicle parked on the road. 1 merkin for cars, 1 WW2 for trucks, 1 burpee for anything else. Gazelles doubled up the number and waited for the 6 at each intersection.

Back into Huguenot Park for another quick triple check at the restrooms. Pole Smokers and Lt. Dans while timer runs to the playground entrance and back.

Mosey back to the basketball courts for quick Ab centric Mary. 10 ab exercises completed in cadence. Time was called. Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayers. YHC took us out. Prayers for Family DTH as the embark in Papa New Guinea on their medical mission for 3 months. Thoughts for Snuffs Papa-in-law and his family as they deal with declining health. Chili Cook Off at Castle El Woods on March 22nd; plush TP has been promised. Mad respect to Bone Thugs as he continues his recovery from knee surgery for putting in the miles.

NMS. Been a while since we moseyed into Machismo’s backyard to wake the neighbors. Thanks to Snuff for providing the tunes as we ventured the mean streets of Greenleigh. Always fun to mix things up a bit and appreciate the efforts of the PAX for accommodating. Good to see Dry Rub back out after his winter slumber. Thank you fellas for the opportunity to work with you guys. Great times and good conversation.

  • Team Work Makes the Boaty Dream Work

A solid 14-PAX showed up to see what nonsense their departing Doctor had in store, and of course novel oddity awaited them:

    The THANG:

    WARMERAMA

    THE AO FERRY

    • Circumnavigate the fields, stopping every 50 yards or so for a COP – Squat Jumps, NoCheat Merkins, DR.W’s, Lunges, Dancing Bears + Crab Cakes, etc

    OVERHEAD TRIAL #1

    • YHC directs PAX to lift canoe with just YHC inside up to shoulder level and carry about 30 yards – worked out just fine, very smooth ride, nobody died.

    THE IDITAROD

    • Line up canoe on the path adjacent to Field #1
    • Three PAX in the canoe, about 6 PAX on the tow ropes, the rest pushing the canoe sides
    • Canoe sled moved at lightning speed 100 yards down the length of the field
    • Rotate positions and repeato another two rounds

    HAPPY PECS

    • Leave Canoe and go collect NTB’s extremely solid retaining wall blocks
    • Circle up on your SIX and complete perfect coupon chest presses IC
    • x2 rounds of 10 IC
    • x2 rounds of 5 IC

    OVERHEAD TRIAL #2

YHC took the morning yesterday to witness Belay’s naturalization ceremony.   We should be humbled by the commitment that immigrants intentionally take to make this country a better place.  YHC, a government major in college, was reminded in the ceremony that we live in a Constitutional Federal Republic.  Belay’s oath and our privilege is to serve the Constitution and not the President.  What an honor to serve a country where the founding ideas  and checks and balances in our Constitution reign.

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”

    Announcements:

    Frozen Triangle this Saturday

Reach out to friends in the St. Christophers, St. Catherines, and CCV communities following a freakish accident that resulted in the death of a woman YHC’s age. YHC actually knew Crandall as a middle and high schooler. She was walking back to her car Friday morning after being at the CCV gym and was struck by a car reversing out of the parking lot at very low speed. She fell and hit her head and did not survive. Very sadly, the driver knows her and her family very well. She was a mother of 3 older kids (2 high schoolers and 1 in college). Stay aware, folks…and look out for one another. This tragedy is just awful.

  • Suck it, Dan Synder

17 absolute freaking studs joined YHC for a romp around No Toll. YHC hasn’t had the best F3 attendance to start the new year. What better way to get back on the F3 horse, but to grab the Q? YHC can’t think of one.

Warm-a-rama: Jog a lap around the parking

    • Side Straddle Hops
    • Helicopters
    • Merkins
    • Updog…stretch out those caves
    • Downdog…which YHC proposed renaming to Suck It, Dan Synder’s. Maybe it will stick. Maybe it won’t. The intent is there though.
    • WWII’s

Thang 1: 15 minute AMRAP, Exercises were 30 Air Squats, 20 WWII’s, 10 burpees then run around the parking lot. Repeat this set until time called. YHC thinks most everyone got about 4 rounds in. This was not easy.

Thang 2: Triple Check: Dips, Merkins and a Run back and forth across the field.

Mozey to the basketball court for…

Thang 3: A burpee EMOM. After completing 3 burpees, run back and forth across the court. At the start of the next minute, 4 burpees and run back and forth across the court. We increased burpees until 10. This was a burner.

Circle up for some ab and glute work – WWII’s, APD’s, American Hammers and Crunchy Frogs.

    Time Called.

YHC was thrilled to be back with this crew! What a great morning. Loved it! This workout was definitely different than the Twin Team vibe but every once in a while, you just need to kick your ass with a workout.

Prayers: Rosie’s cousin who is battling a heart condition after recovering from cancer.

    YHC took us out.

  • Cold doomscroll

Seven content creators took a freezing journey to the outer recesses of the TikTok algorithm with a music-fueled ban-worthy beatdown:

Started a minute early because who has time to sit around when it is 13 degrees.

Mosey to the back lot, stop and pay the toll with incline mirkins and dips.

33 SSHs, then grab a block and mosey around the lot. Ascending block curls at each parking space, then ascending block squats. Mosey around the lot. Chest presses then WW2s with the block. Mosey around the lot. Bear crawls dragging the block until DK figured out you could just slide with it. Rifle carry the block back to the pile.

Mosey to the field for some triple check action: dips and LBCs.

Mosey back to the basketball courts, pay the toll.

Circle up for the best TikTok dance of all time, Mankillers. Shoutout to the og influencer Last Call who reminded me how to do them.

Some mirkin mary, and ab mary, until we had one song left. Burpees to the end. COT.

Wow it was cold! We definitely kept it moving. 7 people, at that temp? Impressive to see everyone out.

NMS:  The DTH+Sable caravan arrived on scene and another 6 joined the party. GREAT numbers for 20 degrees and black ice everywhere. Extra emphasis was given for the Disclaimer this morning! Effort was made to spell NO TOLL in the snow while cranking 100 SSH’s, but Bromance thought the beatdown wasn’t hard enough and spelled NO TOIL instead. L Woods continues to accelerate and earned the name “L rabbit” as YHC tried to keep up with him. Belay’s fitness level and high quality form continues to set the standard. YHC did not take the bait and leap the gate today – nobody needs a broken leg. And hey, we stayed warm and crushed 100 burpees! (Actually 102 cause addition apparently isn’t my talent). Yours AYE! ~DTH
