  • 2 Men and a Runner?

Shovel flag’s up and Coupons down! I guess the shovel flag wasn’t the only thing that was up at 6 AM, am I right guys? Haha!

Pool Boy and YHC got after it this morning for some EC with a 3 mile ruck and a coupon to carry to share and handed it off every 1/4 mile. Choo Choo rolled in about 3/4-1 mile into our ruck to do a partial run and ruck but couldn’t seem to find us to team up.

Great ruck this morning with Pool Boy, it’s always nice getting to know him a bit more every time we get together.

  • Tubthumping!

2 time traveling bootcamp enthusiasts took a trip back in time to their early teens! The year was 1997! They moseyed their way from the shovel flag, around the North soccer field and into the west octagon for some Warmarama that included: SSH’s, DQ’s, Tie Fighters, Tony Hortons, and many legs stretches.
The song “Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba rang out through the audiovox boombox so what else would 2 F3 guys do in this situation? Nancy Kerrigan to the entire song and drop for burpees every time we heard “ I get knocked down!” Duh!

We moseyed to the front entrance gate for 25 Turkish get ups with an incline merkin at the top.

We grabbed a kettlebell and moseyed to the hill for 20 Bernie ups and back downs.

Finish with some harder than usual Mary at the shovel flag!

YHC closed us out with COT,

Frozen Triangle coming on Super Bowl Saturday

  • “What Are Monkey Humpers?” I’m glad you asked!

2 downright rowdy Timber Boys arrived on this windy gloom to get after a randomizer routine led by YHC. This was Wildwoods first time hearing about Monkey Humpers and I had him locked in the Pickleball cage, I’m almost certain he had to be a little bit worried!

Warmarama! – Mosey to an arbitrary light post, Michael Phelps, Cherry Pickers, Ukrainian Soldiers, Shoulder Taps, Runner Stretch, Wilson and Fudds Wife.

Mosey to the Pickleball cage for some COP 1 – Legs

1 round – Wall sits, Hoe Downs, Donkey Kicks.

Round 2 – Wall Sits, Hoe Downs, Monkey Humpers.

Round 3 – Wall Sits, Jump Squats, Hoe Downs.

Mosey to the Flag and grab a kettle bell for COP 2 – Arms and Abs

Somewhat of a mashup of 11’s and triple check but with 2 guys. Both pac line up at parking line, set a point B for travel. One pax does 20 kb curls, other pax does American hammers. Both pax mosey to point B and switch. Mosey back to point A and begin again at 18 KB curls and so on.

COP3 – Pain in the Deck – PAX pull a card from the top of the deck, both PAX perform the workout of the higher card.

YHC closed us out in COT

  • Pull Ups With a Side of Dips For One

With all the other Pull Up Enthusiasts out for the day, I was a one man wolf PAX. That didn’t keep me down, I just pulled myself up.

Warmarama on the walk over to the jungle gym, with huggers and arm circles. Then got into it.

Hollow Rocks 3 sets of 10
Concentrated on creating as much space as possible between myself and the bar when rocking backwards, and use my legs to drive myself backwards. Really trying to get closer to a muscle up.

EMOMs (every minute on the minute)
5 sets of 5 band assisted perfect form (full lockout at bottom) pull ups couldn’t finish the last set.
5 sets of 5-8 full body dips

    Max Reps to failure
Add extra band and Max out
    1st set I made it to 10, then 5, then 2
Did the same with dips, but can’t remember the rep counts.

    Mosey back to the flag

  • Get the Corners

3 grizzled Gladiators embarked on a journey this gloomy! Discussions included: Gladiator 2, the perks of having kids, cheeseburgers, what keeps customers coming back, showering, the pyramids, ancient roads outperform US roads of today, cheap products create more consumerism, Ukrainian friendships, the perks of having kids…

YHC had to get downrange for work ASAP but we were able to get in about 2.5 miles of Ruck this morning.

  • When I Ruck, You Ruck, We Ruck

Late post for Saturday mornings pre bootcamp 3 mile ruck around the park. Good conversations as 4 of us land lovers had a good weighted trek.
