YHC set out to the great route in Giles and we finished in faster time that we had to add more route in the lot to finish on time. Runners posted about 4 miles.

Opus took us out in prayer.

Great discussion and ruck gents…see you in the gloom…Cheers….CB!

  • 5 Popsicles

5 manly men showed up for a Ruck/Run on a ten degree morning. With 10 degrees and no wind, I may have overdressed. 2 rucked and 3 ran. After 45 minutes we returned to the clubhouse. Numberama, Nanarama and Announcements. Upcoming 3rd F in early February to celebrate 1 month of sobriety for those participating. Upcoming Frozen Triangle. Phonics took us out.

  • The Steamer

4 ruckers, 1 canine and 1 runner posted on a cold Tuesday morning.

  • pentarun

4 runners and one rucker showed up at Atlee to hit it hard. and that is what we did.

  • I feel like an undercooked Fish Stick

These were Trail Mix’s closing remarks as we finished 3 and a half miles around the 22 degree frozen Tundra of Giles subdivision. Although he added “But maybe the opposite.” We believe he was trying to say that sometimes, you pull the fishsticks out of the oven and they are hot on the outside but still cold in the middle. Whether he was appearing to be warm enough on the outside but internal organs failing, or actually just cold on the outside but warm enough on the inside … we’ll never know.

Yardsale posted solo for the Ruck, and he enjoyed the alone time with some Johnny Cash tunes.

The trails behind the Giles recreation building are kinda cool, hope to use those more this year.

A 40 foot inflatable snowman was spotted as the most expensive decoration in the neighborhood.

  • Tempo Run or Talking Pace?

Three runners and three ruckers travelled from Atlee High School which for most would be be an opportunity to hear a lot of mumblechatter while enjoying the amazing weather. The runners ran the farm house loop for about 4.25 miles. The ruckers were seen exiting Giles which is likely where most of there run occurred.

COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Yard Sale took us out.

    NMS:

Great day for a walk or a run in Daville. As Anchovy and YHC started into their normal conversation of high school track, Mr. Holland asked why there is no middle school indoor track or cross country in Hanover and Henrico? YHC, being a teacher, has reminded his students over the past week that the most important level of government in our day-to-day lives is local followed by state. The answer to Mr. Holland’s question needs to be taken up with the local school boards of Henrico and Hanover.

    Gotta Run!

    Phonics

  • Where are the runners?

2 rehabbing gents took their limp to an AO to catch up with Yardsale. They covered a bit over 2 miles in what was YHC’s first Raider Ruck after 75* Raider Runs. Great to be back out there.

    *According to Big Data.

  • Tour de Giles

4 runners and 1 rucker covered just about the entirety of Giles today. The runners hit most of Giles’s cul-de-sacs. The Giles hill hit the runners back. Beat It took us out.

Announcements: Pickleball tournament Saturday. Talk to Hitchiker.

Water training, including drown prevention training, Sunday. Talk to Beat It.

It’s always good catching up with everyone and enjoying the improving weather. We all need to be more aware of using lights and high-visibility clothing/accessories as we lose the sunlight in the morning this time of year.

  • Better Late Than Never

If memory serves, 5 runners and 4 ruckers took to the mean streets of Atlee. Runners ventured across Atlee Station Road –Beat It was excited–through Giles and Craney Island. If I messed up the Pax, let me know to get the big data right.
