YHC returned to his usual Raider Run terrain for his first weekday post in a couple months. While YHC and Spit ran for 3.5-4ish miles, Corned Beef rucked for about two miles. It was good to get back out there. Numbers, names, and Spit took us out.
YHC Came in hot for a Ruck walk just past 5:30…Runners already launched.
With no other ruckers to ruck with…chose the Sancerre Route over the tracks and return. When YHC arrived back to the start was welcomed by 2 runners for this morning.
Two runners and one rucker enjoyed the brisk journeyed around the surrounding neighborhoods on this Tuesday morning. The runners did an easy run on the traditional farmhouse loop of 4.35 miles. The rucker left at 5 am and ran back to the VSF with the ruck sack. Well done Yardsale!
COT – Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Yardsale took us out.
Announcements – Frozen Triangle this weekend. Starts at 6 AM at Dogwood Dell.
4 guys showed up to the campus at Atlee High School to log some miles before the events of the “First Alert Weather Day” began. Two guys ran, one did a run/walk, and one rucked. Mr. Holland and YHC ran and did the farmhouse loop. Opus ran some and then walked/rucked with Descartes. Weather as usual was perfect the entire time.
COT – Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Opus took us out.

Four ruckers and three runners posted on this perfect brisk morning and did the following.
Ruckers – Started at 5 am and rucked to various locations around Atlee High School
Runners – Started a few minutes after 5:30 AM due to frosting delays by 2 of the runners. Ran into Rutland and Cool Spring Forest then back to Atlee HS.
COT – Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Opus took us out.

With no headlamps for the runners due to one of them being borrowed by YHC’s 2.0 and the batteries failing in another, the runners chose the Rutland loop which would be more lit than other routes. The ruckers were in search of Hotel California who did not appear on this day.
YHC and the Davillian Pax welcomed one of our own back from a Brazilian Taylor Swift experience with style–a Taylor Swift fartlek. Was the Pax ready for it, just tolerate it, or did the music selection create bad blood? Whichever way, YHC can shake it off. If you want to exile me from the Q spot for being the anti-hero here, you need to calm down.
The running Pax covered about 4.5 miles, picking up the pace from the beginning of the songs until the first chorus. As for the ruck, Yardsale needs some help measuring. After numbers and names, Yardsale took us out. Is it over now?
A clowncar(truck) of 4 posted with 4 DaVillian for a special 10k ruck at DaPile. Below is our route:
We walked through 2 neighborhoods on trails and wrapped up at 7:30am.
Numberama, Namermama, Opus took us out in prayer.
We then posted at Bulkhead’s house for breakfast where we had homemade scones from Opus, a Kringle from the Clown car guys, Bacon, Sausage, Eggs cooked on a flat top with Irish cream coffee, Bourbon Coffee. Speakeasy, Mustang and Choo Choo showed up also for the 2nd F where we were also learning about cricket as Bulkhead had a game on for us to learn the rules, etc…
We had a great visit and it was fun catching up with gents south of the wall.
Have a great weekend and I hope to see you in the gloom soon…Cheers…CB!
Runners and ruckers elected to start their day the best way on a warm November morning. Running pax members were presented with a series of ballot measures to set the route. On Ballot Measure #1, voter turnout was low, but runners voting unanimously voted for “Not the Track” over “The Flat Route.” It appears logical deduction is possible at 5:00 in the morning. The balloting for appropriately named Ballot Measure #2 was somewhat more controversial. It seems some Pax members were unaware that due to quirks of the electoral college some votes counted more than others, leading to the long hill loop as opposed to the short hill loop. Thems the breaks. After 4-4.5 miles at varying paces, the runners and ruckers circled up and Opus efficiently took us out to allow us to meet Mustang and reconvene at Rise and Shine for some enjoyable 2nd F time.
The only announcement besides the impending breakfast was YHC’s proposal that runners, and potentially ruckers, who want to post on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving post at Spider Run for the annual 10k to participate in that tradition. Perhaps this time YHC will find the parking lot before launch time.
