  • Slider Belly Run

How many sliders did you consume yesterday? AND is that Lug Nut?!

5 strong made it out after a terrible Super Bowl, unless you’re an Eagles or Kendrick Lamar fan I guess. With various types of snacks still in our bellies, YHC decided on a route close to various types of bathrooms – down to the park and back around the school twice for 4 miles.

Good to see Sanchez in week 2. Another newbie joined us for their inaugural River Run outing – Orby. Way to go gents.

  • Doozy’s Bridge to King Something

8 strong including an FNG at the latest edition of River Run! The following is a brief summary for your viewing pleasure:

The PAX completed an out and back route that took us over to JRHS. Run a lap around the track, then take the trail that connects to River Downs. Apparently Doozy built the bridges – who knew? Left on River Downs, then right on a street with the name “King” in it. Left on Robious, circle back and repeat after 22.5 minutes or so. We all made it back alive.

Final Thoughts: Great effort by all the runners this morning! We managed to avoid any large hills – which may have been by design. Welcome Sanchez! He is a neighbor of Wedding Singer and a Jets fan. Butt Fumble was ruled out as we are hoping to have him come back. House Party had a near fall on some roots on the trail – I feel like that is a bit of a pattern. Props to the Middle School crew for getting up early and putting in some work.

  • Three Amigos Run

We came, we saw, we conquered. 4 mile route, Doozy hung with the slow guys today. Mumble chatter was at its finest.

MLK Day – do something nice for someone today (or everyday).

  • There’s Ice on the left of the hill

3 regulars in the cold with no real direction to go. YHC grabbed the open Q because there was a high probability that he would not attend the below freezing run after fartsacking the entire last week.

YHC needs to increase miles so Singer and Bullseye were sent of by JRHS and into River Downs to get in their usual 4 miler. YHC went to the park back by JRHS to the light at Robious & Winterfield, turn back roller coaster at Riverdowns BTTF for 6 miles

YHC was a touch late getting back to the flag but the boys where still there waiting for me YHC took us out

NMS: Passes Singer and Bullseye, they where coming out of RiverDowns as YHC was going in when Bullseye warned me about the ice on the hill half way up but YHC had headphones on and didn’t quite understand what he was saying until said ice patch was encountered. Luckily no one was injured in the running of the hill today.

  • Solo at River Run

Bullseye braved the elements and made the trip out to River Run on a wet and slushy Monday morning. All others on the group chat remained silent in advance of the snow storm to hail all snow storms (in the past few years).

Bullseye mentioned not ringing up the back blast for it so YHC is helping big data.

  • Solo Bro Code

At an AO that had a rough 2024 (taken off the Q sheet and then back on), YHC posted for the last run of the season and found that it would be a you vs you day. 70 and sunny, so lets get going, to the park back out through JRHS, to River Downs, out RD to Twin Team, cross over to Terrington for an easy 8 miles at a 9ish minute pace.

See you next year River Run

  • Christmas Eve Eve Run

7 or so ascended upon River Run for a holiday run through Powderham. And it was cold, cold, cold, cold, cold.

    Ruckers rucked.

Runners ran up Twin Team and into Powderham, performed the loop back around to Ellesmere and through to Brigstock, back home. Doozy added some extra mileage.

Beautiful morning for a run through the neighborhood. Great job gents. Hope everyone has (had) a safe and fun holiday.

  • Run/Ruck in the Rain

Five locals attended what was intended to be a momentarily dry outing that turned into a wet morning at River Run.

Runners – run to boat landing and back to BWE bus loop, rinse and repeat once, add the street across the school for the 4 mile route. Ruckers did pretty much the same route.

Good run/ruck gents. Thanks to the ruckers who decided to make a morning of it. Nostalgia got the best of the pax with older children, elf on the shelf chores broke it all up. Doozie slept in, kind of.

  • Lets take is easy

Sunday night a warning shot was fired that Wedding Singer would not be running. 5:30 and the only 2 standing watch are Bullseye and YHC

After a bit of discussion an easy route was requested and YHC thought why not go through Terrington (via a visit to the park first) but stay on the high side of the pool house. Note to self, the POOL HOUSE is smack dab in the middle of the hill. All the way to Robious, cross to the opposite side where we no longer have to look for a clearing due to some tree removal. Down Twin Team around by James River HS and BTTF

Numbers / Names YHC took us out

NMS: It seamed like it would be flat at the time YHC said it, sorry Bullseye.

  • Where did he come from and where did he go

3 RR Regulars picked up a hitchhiker on the frosty roads of Salisbury

5:30 PAX of 3 set out to climb Twin Team and head out E Brigstock for out and back

Along the way YHC was just a bit ahead of Singer and Bullseye when a lone runner going the opposite direction passed. As usual YHC said good morning but didn’t hear a response, not unusual for 27 degrees and before 6 A.M. however when YHC turned back to meet up with the other two, the PAX had grown from 2 to 3 and the familiar voice of Don Draper was heard. Once the 22.5 minute mark was hit the group turned and head BTTF. It was on the other side of Robious that YHC was told that DD had vanished in much the same way he had appeared. This reminded YHC that there is a beast that lurks the area of Twin Team that has not been seen in quite some time……..

Numbers / Names YHC took us out

NMS: Stay tuned, we may have to go on a beast hunt to find DD
