  • How much does a cinder block weigh???

    6 committed but 2 apparently couldn’t fight the fartsack. 4 showed so my plan for doing a triple check wasn’t going to work, so Plan B it is…make stuff up.

    COP: SSH, DQs, Jazzercise, Copperhead Squats, Merkins

    Run to the top of the hill, 10 Merkins, 10 WWII’s, 10 squats, run to the next intersection same exercises, next intersection same.

    Grabbed some blocks from a house being built. We all took our guess on how much one block weighs (answer: Google says 35lbs.)

    21’s (7 half curls starting from the bottom going halfway up, 7 half curls starting from the top going halfway down, followed by 7 full curls), 10 Squats, 10 overhead press, 10 front swings. Run about 100 yards and do 20 merkins, back to the blocks for round 2 (same exercises), run and do 15 Merkins, back to blocks for round 3, run and do 10 Merkins, back to blocks for round 4, Run and do 5 Merkins, finish after round 5.

    On the way back to the parking lot, 2 burpees for every 3 mailboxes.

    6 minutes left for Mary.

    3 RUNNERS AND 1 PUP HIT THE STREETS OF NEW MARKET THIS MORNING. POG, HONEYMOON AND ANNIE GOT 5 PLUS, DUKE GOT 4 PLUS. HAVE AGRETA WEEKEND BOYS!

  • Man Hole with a few Blocks!

    5 gathered for a cold spring morning in the New Market! Started with normal activities and ended up running to the back of the hood. Once we got back to the back part of the hood we ran Man hole cover burpees. After first round we found some blocks to use for curls and other creative activities while each person ran an out and back. Wilson hurt his calf and I broke my block! Back to the front of the hood but 2 pushups at every man hole until your back. Finished with little marry. Good work and hopefully the calf injury will not keep WIlson out………

  • Runners run AND do other things!

    Five plus Annie showed up on Good Friday for a mixture of stuff! Runners ran around 5 miles and others did bootamp stuff.

    YHC started to think about what to write about in the backblast and while we just did a bunch of stuff, YHC remembered George Carlin and his stuff skit………..sooo funny.

    YHC has gone down a rabbit hole watching Carlin videos. Was going to post the stuff video, but came accross the one posted. Carlin was way ahead of his time. Makes you wonder. Enjoy and if you want to laugh, watch some of his videos. YHC enjoyed!

    Here is what went down: Runners took off and others did a lap arounf block then started. with 15 minutes left all runners showed up…………..YHC was really confused, yet the runners wanted some variety. Stuff they got!

    YHC took us out. PLEASE enjoy the holiday weekend! Prayers for all! Be afe!

    All pax do exercise called, as soon as a PAX hits a 100 they call it out and the entire PAX sprints to the top of the hill, and mosey back down.

    Exercises included : Squats, LBCs, Box Cutters, Monkey Humpers, and APDs.

    Numberama, Namerama, Wilson took us out!

  • Manholes = Burpees

    4 gathered at a good 10′ distance for some quick stretching exercises before we hit the hood for some miles!

    Run to the back of the hood and from there we started burpees at every manhole we passed and increased from 1 too 2 at each. Total back and forth = 3miles and a butt load of burpees.

    Strong work guys and keep your head up, we will get through all this together but for now it will be distancing…..

  • What’s your inspiration?

    Six men broke free from the fartsack to partake in something new..kinda.

    YHC was scouring the internet from boredom and read that April 7th would produce a Full Moon Pink (Nancy Lopez read the same article – great minds). This is where the moon is at the closest point in the rotation around the earth. It happens on a 14 month cycle. In my boredom I found one of MANY workouts people are posting and came across the one titled HIIT this curb workout. So we did…….kinda.

    Here’s how it went down…………

    COP: SSH, Little Baby Crunches, Superman, Flutter Kicks (Sugar Sticks), Jazzercise & Imperial Walkers.

    Beatdown: Curb Steps, Curb Pushoffs, Curb Standing Lunge, Curb Burpee, Curb Drydock to Merkin (needs a new name as much mumblechatter was happening – some creative xxx names tho!) & Curb Peter Parkers.

    Marmaduke took us out. Prayers to Honeymoons family as they wait to hear news on his fathers remission.

  • Donkey

    4 Warriors came out for a beautiful morning of exercise and togetherness (6ft apart). YHC with his 2.0 appeared first but Wilson and Hermie soon followed. All ran to AO so YHC skipped the Mosey and went straight to COP.

    COP- 25 SSH’s, 10 DQ’s, 10 Jazzercise, 10 IW’s, 10 RS’s, 10 CHS’s, 10 Merkins, 10 WWII’s, 10 LBC’s, 10 Flutter, 10 Dollies, 10 Rosalita’s. At one point Dog pound start counting each 10 with Donkey and stated that is what they did on his cross country team. Seemed like a good idea and the PAX complied. Mosey up the hill for the start of the BIG 4 corners.

    BIG 4 corners. .8 miles all the way around. Alternating 50 reps at each corner of exercises.

    Round 1 10 WWII’s, 10 LBC’s, 10 Flutters, 10 Dollies, 10 Rosalita’s.


    Round 2 25 merkins, 25 Carolina dry docks.

    Round 3 25 SSH’s, 25 SSH’s

    Round 4 repeat round 1.

    Mosey back to parking lot for parking lot tracers of Bernie, side shuffle.

    2 rounds of 10 merkin ring of fire rounded out the hour.

    YHC appreciates my 2.0 getting out there today and working hard. Wilson and Hermie gutted out all the running (logged at least a 5K). Appreciate letting me lead. Prayers to the healthcare workers and those on ventilators. I continue to draw strength from the PAX. Way to work men!! Apologies for the tardy BB!
