  • A Man May Be Killed

    Hot potato Q today as 1/2 the PAX set off to run clad in yellow and the other 1/2 to bootcamp clad in black and one expletive PAX member in a hoodie.

    Runners – ran somewhere and returned in 45 minutes.

    Bootcamp:

    Doozy acknowledging it was a hot potato Q took the lead and off we moseyed towards the front parking lot for warmups: Don Q, helicopter, merkins, LBC. Tracers on parking lines.

    Q to Duke. Mosey to corner of school. Bear crawls, lunges, something else, bear crawls and then sprint to bottom of hill. Partner for several rounds of wall squats and 55 of something. Flutters were in there somewhere. 20 merkins in between rounds.

    Q to Honeymoon. Bleacher corners. 5 merkins run up and over, around and back down. Repeat and add exercise, head back same way. Repeat and add exercise each time – 10 squats, 15 dry docks, 20 arm circles, 3 burpees, 25 ab somethings, 30 leg lifts.

    Q to Singer – triple check. wall squats. WWIIs. Run up hill.

    Return to flag.

    Moleskin: The Q was hot today. Seemed to fit a lot in (that’s what she said). Title from Bullseye warning Doozy not to do Mankillers out of the gate. YHC apologies for missing a few exercises, when one isn’t the designated Q these things tend to happen in the fog. Congrats to Doozy for 20 years of marriage.

  • Better late than…..

    11 warriors posted for a SOT style beat down. According to the bus driver here is what went down. Mosey to bottom lot. Some of the facts may be fuzzy due to the delay in posting BB.

    COP- 20 SSH, 10 each: SSH, DQ’s, Deadman hang, Imperial walkers, MErkins, flutters, some more stuff but it was 48 hours ago.

    Run lap with 6 stops and perform 10 merkins at each then lap and 15 WWII, 3rd lap 20 Squats, 4th lap 25 of something.

    Triple check with runner going around the stadium stairs . Others perform merkins, flutters, dollies. Etc.


    YHC took us out.

    Warm up

    Burpees at each door around school ( 1 at each door)

    Circle up- rounds of different merkins, shoulder taps, arm circles

    mosey to other side of school- rounds of squats, ball dippers, people’s chair, broad jump burpees, lunges.

    mosey down to the track- american hammers, WWII’s, flutter kicks. 20 of each at each corner of the track.

    15 burpees running up the hill to the flag.

  • What’s that in the parking lot??

    16 studs made their way out to the second addition of Doozy’s favorites workouts, if YHC’s memory serves him right we had 9 for the workout and 7 went for a jog.

    COP to the back side of the school

    DQ’s, Cherry Pickers, Russian Soldiers and a few other things

    Mosey to the front of the school to see a ball and chain in one of the parking spaces

    10 parking spaces total each PAX take their own space and do 20 of the exercise written on the ground then after each run a lap around the parking lot up on the sidewalk and back to the next space. Repeato until you’ve done all the spaces. When you get to space 5 there are no exercises to do just grab a ball or a chain and run a lap.

    Mosey to the end of the bus loop for curb crawl elevens, start on one side bear crawl to the other and do 1 incline merkin, crawl bear back to the other side for 10 decline merkins continue increasing or decreasing the count each time but always end in 11.

    YHC was joking with O.C. pre workout and said that the plan was to not do as much running as was originally on the schedule. Part of the PAX thought that meant no running which we all know won’t ever be the case at a Doozy Q. Once we got through the mumble chatter about the running the PAX was happy to find that there wasn’t any man killers on the schedule only to find that the curb crawl elevens where worse than the man killers

    NMS:

    • Solid numbers strike again at SOT, and that was without the usual New Market gang. The way Tobit and Draper were talking, sounds like the runners did more sprinting than running (yuk), but YHC also have the Bootcampera a but of a run to start the day – and what a GREAT way to warm up it was! Will be looking at future Q’s warm-ups to have similar running intervals. Great work this morning brothers. Good to see Mousetrap making his way back into F3. SYITG, YHC, DTH
  • Home Alone?

    8 strong showed up for a boot camp while 7 runners launched from SOT. Along came FNG who was told to show up for a run. Unfortunately Boberry left him Home Alone and poor guy did not know where to park or find the group. We obliged by welcoming him into the gloom with a beat down. Welcome FNG Wet Bandit.

    COP- Mosey to front bus loop. 25 SSH, 10 Each: DQ’s, imperial walkers, helicopters, deadman hang. 15 each MErkins, LBC’s, Plank jacks, Dollies (Just to make wilson get back on ground.

    Thang: Mosey to track for a Dora. Runner, 100 Carolina Drydocks, 200 LBC’s, 300 squats. Mosey to bleachers for incline merkins, dips, step ups, lunges, merkins, dips. Mosey to bottom of hill. Triple check: Runner, donkey kicks and WWII’s. Audible to peoples chair in place of donkey kicks for round 2 and 3. Bernie up hill, lunge across lot at top halfway then mosey BTF. 4 MOM with dealer choice 10 reps. Time was called.

    Announcements: Get signed up to donate or volunteer for blood drive. If you are available after Dogpile Doublemint is doing some really cool work with his 2.0’s cleaning up a cemetery on the east end. I wish I could make but out of town! Will plan next month. See pre-blasts.

  • Bootcampers with a running problem

    a solid showing of 9 bootcampers and 6 runners made there way to a misty SOT. Runners took off at 8:45 pace (ahh hem OC) for Midlo middle. It was a nice surprise to find the track unlocked and ready. 5x800m with ~1min recovery between sets. Mosey quickly back to the flag and we were 4 minutes late only to find an empty parking lot. ~5.5 total miles. way to crush it guys.

    I think Don signed up for next weeks Q. something about a magic mile. I think I also heard something about some merlot being left on the track. My high school coach always said, “if you don’t throw up, your not trying hard enough.

  • We Will not get wet!

    9 Bootcampers took off one way to start the morning while 6 other took off for a run.

    A surly bunch of drunken Irish bare knuckle boxers posted to SOT for a swig of the hard stuff. Half followed DTH pumping Irish Pub jams, while the other half (wisely) ran away.

    • YHC enjoyed bringing some St Patty’s Day fun to the PAX today. Roundabout posted for his second time today, and was surprised to find himself dancing an Irish Jig at 0535. Who woulda thunk it! With uneven numbers, there were a few audibles to remove partner exercises (had a wheelbarrow shamrock search in mind), but “beer crawls” more than made up for it.     7 ground and pounders and 4 fleet feet warriors showed up to a almost 70 and sunny morning to get a good Doozy Q in before breakfast.

    Backwards doors starting at 33 and going to 1 odd numbers are merkins, even numbers are scrunchy frogs at each door before you do the exercise do 5 squats. At door 20 we rested with 20 inside calf raises and 20 outside calf raises.

    NMS:

    Pyro joined us this morning from J-ville FLA and YHC had it on his mind to give him a tour of Midlio MS but Pyro pulled a Crazy Ivan and went with the runners instead. No worries, PAX stuck with the plan and crushed it anyway. YHC decided to do the doors backwards just to see which was harder and it is his humble opinion that low to high is much harder than high to low.
