94 degrees at 6pm – The parking lot at WEAG made its annual turn into a glove melting hellscape. But YHC and Ghostbuster were ready………….
Mosey to the back of the church for Warm-Up: various exercises, all in perfect cadence with excellent form.
to the small hill for some inverted ab work: WWII Sit Ups, LBC’s, Oblique LBC’s, Flutter Kicks.
Mosey to the Bench for some upper body work: Dips, Merkins, Incline Merkins, Copious amounts of Big Overhead Claps.
Mosey to the wall for some leg work: Donkey Kicks, Squats, Calf Raises, Lunge Walk to the metal container and back.
Mosey to the upper parking lot for some Crab Walking.
Next up was a super hot 4 corners with Hand Release Merkins, Jump Squats, Shoulder Taps, and Side Straddle Hops.
We finished up at the flag with some hip stretches.
Final Thoughts: Great catching up with Ghostbuster this evening. I was trying to due an easier workout due to a knee injury, but the heat had other plans.

*TRYHARDER TRAIL* …or as some say “The Tryhard Trail of Tears”
Quad Squad at The Crossing for an off the beaten path beastmode sweatfest. Some almost died, but none were left behind…
The THANG:
WARMERAMA:
- Hard Look Straight Talk Disclaimer implemented to ensure all PAX could only blame themselves for participating in the following madness
- Mosey over to the wooden rail fence for JUMPOVERS – really more like carefully climbing then hopping over the fence, on repeat, one for each section all the way down
- Mosey around the field to the stack of hefty telephone pole cabers for CABER FLIPS – deep squat to loft one end of pole then hefted forward to flip over – repeated many time to progress across field and back
- Plenty warm, let’s GO
TRYHARDER TRAIL:
- Swing by the truck to grab an F3 seat cover and run down to the bottom lot, through some gnarly bushes to a low wire fence. Seat cover over the fence, and PAX traverse without injury. Run a bit through no-mans woods and out into a suuuuper fancy neighborhood. Smile and wave at the nice lady looking at us with great suspicion then drop for loud IC reps.
- PAX then followed a 1.5 mile neighborhood loop, stopping at every intersection for reps, and ensuring no man was left behind
- In the middle of this grand parade of pain, one intersecting road was named “APRIL Lane,” and in old BLIMPS fashion the PAX completed IC reps for: APD’s, Plank Jacks, Rosalitas, Imperial Squat Walkers, and LBC’s.
- With the hoity toity feel of the neighborhood YHC blessed the PAX with a charming and exuberant posh accent in calling cadence, encouragement, and greeting to the dog walkers. Neither the PAX nor the neighbors seemed overly thrilled by the DTH show.
- The PAX completed the 1.5mi circuit on the pain train with 15 minutes still left on the clock
YOU VS YOU:
- After getting BTTF, the PAX were directed to choose their own movement or exercise when either was called, and this the PAX slowly circuited the upper parking lot
PLANKORAMA REVIEW:
- The PAX held plank while each took turns reciting the F3 Mission, then the 5CP’s, then the Credo.
- There were a fair number of repeats until it was repeatedly correctly, but no man, or recited component, was left behind.
COT:
- Counterama #4
- Namerama
- Announcerama (see Below)
- BOM Prayer
NMS: YHC enjoys breaking new ground maybe more than any other thing in all of F3. It was a fantastic tour of the lovely neighborhood behind WEAG church, and I’m suuuuuure all the PAX would tell you just how much fun they had this evening. Until next time…in a few hours at the Forge, I am humbly yours. AYE! ~DTH

Two > One
Almost all Crossing PAX confirmed expected absence, and even YHC wasn’t sure until 1 hour prior. 6pm found just DTH at the Flag. Moseyrama with variable movements around the lot to end up back at the truck, parked with a trailer next to a large pile of logs which Meatball had requested some help transporting to Camp. Solo loading ensued while listening to a podcast sermon. Wasn’t too long before brother Jiggy rolled up in his sweet new Tesla with stories for days to entertain YHC while completing this unusual but highly rewarding workout. Jiggy did in fact season his many stories with helping load a few logs, and was especially helpful when YHC’s leg was nearly crushed by the biggest stump. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9)

The NEW Hundred
With a number of regulars otherwise engaged for the evening, Chaplain and YHC enjoyed a bromantic 45 minutes of breathless counting. The festivities began with a half mile lap around the WEAG grounds, stopping briefly to turn in lost car keys to the church office, and finishing with a brand new warmup routine we’ll call “Fence Overs,” which was simply climbing over a wooden fence repeatedly from one end to the other. Circled up with disclaimer and variable standup reps in soggy grass, then moved to dry concrete for the other half of the chest and abbs warmup. Thereafter we commences the all new “NEW HUNDRED” routine, which is like the Old Hundred, except the rep count doesn’t come down by tens, but rather just remains 100 reps per exercise per COP, with a mosey between stops. Exercises included:
- Monkey Humpers
- LBC’s
- Variable Arm movements in Wall chair
- Incline Merkins
- SSH’s
- Flutters
- Bear Crawl
- Squats
- Shoulder Taps
- Freddie Mercuries
- Rapid Alternating Toe Taps
- People’s Chair Hallelujah’s
- …And likely one or two more YHC is forgetting
The New Hundred was thoroughly enjoyed by all the PAX, and we closed with a prayer and praise Chaplain’s som is recovering well from his recent concussion. Until next time. Yours AYE, DTH

Journey to the Forbidden Lands
70 plus and sunny for the latest edition of The Crossing. A rare off campus tour made for a memorable affair. Here is a brief summary for your viewing pleasure……………….
Couple of mosey laps around the parking lot, then circle up for Warm-Up:
Side Straddle Hops, Bruce Lee Punches, Imperial Walkers, Cherry Pickers, Hand Release Merkins, Freddy Mercuries, Hello Dollies, No Cheat APD’s, Karaoke, Bernie Sanders, Lunge Walk, Mummy Kicks. Might have missed a few.
Mosey up Parham Road, and turn right into the first neighborhood. Running up the hill – stop at left side mailboxes for 10 WWII sit-ups, right side mailboxes complete 5 Merkins.
On the way down: Left side mailboxes only – start with 5 jump squats. Add 5 at each mailbox. Worked our way up to 50. Ouch.
Mosey to the grassy knoll for Flutter Kick Ladder. Pax lay down in a line doing flutter kicks. Man in the back bear crawls to the front and does flutters. We switched up to Freddy Mercuries and LBC’s towards the end. Worked our way back to the parking lot.
Exercise three: 4 corners with Shoulder Taps, Carolina Dry Docks, Side Straddle Hops, Monkey Humpers.
1 minute of stretching and that is time.
Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayer Requests. YHC took us out.
Final Thoughts: Excellent effort by the PAX this evening! The hill descent proved very challenging and our legs were smoked. We got some odd looks for the neighbors as well. Glad I didnt call Monkey Humpers. The WEAG Women’s fitness group passed and someone kept yelling “don’t pull on your neck!” – SMH -
Ghosty AMRAPs
Seven HIMs came out for the first Crossing that started out sunny in a long while.
Warm-up: Arm circles; side straddle hops; Ukrainian soldiers; quick sun salutation yoga flow.
Primary workout consisted of four minute AMRAPs. Mosy to first station and divide into two groups. Group one does air squats, jump squats, and donkey kicks. Group two does knee to opposite elbow and running. After a minute of rest switch groups.
More mosy. Then Group one does dips and speedskaters. Group two does broad jumps, sit ups, and runs back to their start point. Switch groups.
Final mosy to the final AMRAP, where everyone does Muricans, Russian twists, and a bit more running.
All survived. ~YHC, Ghostbuster
