  • Figure 8 of Pain

    5 Men started with a mosey and a warmup which included side straddle hops, copper head squats, and arm circles. A gunshot rang out nearby and conversation of Yukon bagging a big buck started. Sadly, Yukon was more of a squirrel whisperer this morning.

    After warmup the figure 8 began. Running the Lumberyard path, starting with the bottom half of the figure at, we stopped at every “To Give a Mouse a Cookie” sign to do 20 WWII’s.

    Reaching the center of the figure 8 we grabbed some coupons for a round of 11’s. 11’s consisted of Squat Thrusters and weighted Alabama Prom Dates. Cindy quickly got the best of Beaver, but he would not be defeated.

    Finishing 11’s we set out to finish the top half of the figure 8 with 20 WWII’s continuing at all of the Mouse’s signs. There were reports of chafing and potentially losing the mouse’s cookies, but everyone finished strong, completing a 2.5 mile run with too many WWII’s to count.

    Announcements: New location for Loco Motion at New Kent High School on Fridays, as well as an upcoming daddy daughter dance and Thanksgiving Day convergence.

  • 6 HIMS and a little lady emerged from the unusually bright gloom for a faux Beaver Q Surprise, just trying to bait y’all out here! This is what the dog park weirdos witnessed!

    Mosey to the Coupons way over yonder for COP 3 – Dora …“Leroy Jenkins!” Exclaims Choo Choo – this had to have been at least a half mile round trip to the AED, shortly after YHC proactively changes the LJ destination to the much closer center field flag. Like I was saying Dora- Partner Up / 100 Incline Merkins / 200 Wet Toilet Seats / 300 LBC’s – Partner carries coupon to top of trail and back.

    Sugar Rush calls for Leroy Jenkins, run to the flag on our way back, pick up our gear and head back to the invisible F3 flag.

    3 Challengers emerged with a beautiful sunrise that started red and quickly turned to an orange to purple fade, but that didn’t slow us down. Here’s the struggle!

Every set you increase bear crawl travel to the next cone. Once out of cones work your way back to the next closest cone.

    COP3 – Trick or Treat Merkins – Take the men’s trick or treating by in the neighborhood for a mosey at every mailbox do merkins starting with 10 reps decreasing by one rep every next mailbox except for the last where instead of 1 we do 11.

    Mary’s Cones – “oh look! There are those orange cones again!” At Every cone PAX selects 11 reps of an ab exercise.

  • Frisbee A No-No!

    3 of the coolest cats this side of the James geared up for a Q Potato as Ultimate Frisbee fell through.

    COP 3 – 7’s – Donkey Kicks on the snack shack – MoT Bear Crawl to center diamond back stop for Hoedowns. Stop early for some feet on the wall ab sets.

    Mosey BTTF and do a couple of ab exercises.

    With IronPaxs wrapped up, I was expecting a big crowd for ultimate frisbee. But when game time came… only three of us showed up. I could see the heartbreak in the other two’s eyes but we had no choice we had to pivot. So here’s how it went down…

    Found the biggest hill in New Kent and went to work with 11s with hand release merkins at the bottom, Mississippi dancers at the top, and Bernie’s on the climb.

    • We hit just about every exercise known to man and then Weird Science tossed in one that could trigger vertigo in just about anyone

    Had a great time with the boys this morning. We were all a little bummed about the frisbee game, but there’s always next week to rally the crew. Weird Science is off to (hopefully) get that hot tub today, Commando’s looking forward to a coffee with his wife and tackling some yard work and YHC’s got a full day of kids sports and wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks again men for letting me lead!

  • IPC Week 0 2025

    8 High Impact Men emerged from the dusk onto the Pine Fork Park football field for the 2025 Iron Pax Challenge Week 0! YHC was so excited he woke up numerous times hoping it was time to get after it! There was some dispute of the spread of tunes in which no one approved of, but we didn’t let that slow us down!

    Choo Choo led us in Warmarama at centerfield! We then meandered over to the whiteboard to do a final overview of the Week 0 workout.

    The workout took much longer than I think any of us anticipated. No halfass reps here!

    Choo Choo and Commando were sidelined being on IR but they remained mobile as ChooChoo ran and Commando rucked! Way to keep moving men!

    3 sets – 21/15/9 reps of 5 exercises followed by a 1/4 country mile mosey around the field after every set – exercises are in the following order:

    Finish off the workout with the Brenton WOD to complete the Brenton WOD sandwich!
