  • Tomato Turkeys

7 Davillians decided to stay local this Thanksgiving and may have started a new traditional with a Turkey Trot.

This is how it went down.

Routes varied in length from 3.3 to 6.2 miles

3.3 (or per Mudface 3.7) milers – Leave Clubhouse parking parking and head to Atlee Rd take a right up the bridge. Loop around the schools and head back the same way

4+ milers – Same route but add the Bojangles loop

10k – Head the same way but then turn into Honey Meadows, turn right on cool hive pl for a loop around the townhomes, back to the around about up through the Estates into King Charter, head to Atlee Station and cross to the sidewalk on the right side. Head back to the bridge, add the Bojangles Loop, the sprint for the final .20 miles.

Warm weather and rain made for a challenge and good run.

    Happy Thanksgiving F3 RVA!!

  • Two Monday Turkeys

2 Davillians got their Turkey week with some miles. YHC started early from Rutland clubhouse and ran into Trout when he was about to head out of Atlee.

Trout quickly turned around and the two us ran through Honey Meadows, King Charter then cross over Atlee Station. Stayed on the right side of the road heading south back to Atlee HS.

Trout slow down his pace at Taylor Farms but got in 4ish.

YHC headed back to Rutland by way of the Bojangles route 6 miles

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • It was a great morning to run….alone..

Did the farmhouse loop backwards (not running but direction). There was not much going on, few runners here and there. A lot of thinking on the run and while running through the back subdivision i remembered that someone said there had been some coyotes running around so was just praying to get back to the car. I thought I saw mudface and no idea and gave them an owl call but no response… made it back in one peice…trout

  • 2 at Tomato Run

We ran the 4 mile route below, had some good hills and a nice 8′ 26″ pace per mile. This was a trout special route as he lead the way this morning SYITG..CB!

  • Another Tomato run beat down from Marco Polo

For the 2nd time in a week Trout has been the only wingman for Marco Polo. This morning Trout thought it was going to be an easy run because the 1st thing out of Marco Polo’s mouth was that he ran 10.5 miles on Saturday and was tired. Well, we almost shaved 2 minutes off our 4 mile time from Thursday. We saw the other rucking behind Atlee early in the morning run beat down.

Trout cant keep this up….where is the rest of the pack?

  • Northern OTB

3 Davillians got a long run in on Saturday morning. The route started from Rutland clubhouse, behinds the school, through honey meadows, King’s Charter, Castlewood, Atlee Ridge, then loop around Kings Wood court and head back the same way. Bulkhead got in around 8.5, YHC did some looping back a little extra to get in 9, Marco Polo decided to push even more with the Bojangles loop for 10.5 miles.

There was a Carpenter spotting who was getting in 4 before his 2.0 softball tournament. We even had Phonics show up in the “Pace car” for some mumble chatter.

Great 2nd F time at The Local Cup afterwards

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Brink of death Honey run

Got straight worked by Marco Polo on the morning run but felt good afterwards…

  • This Route Stinks

3 met this morning for a cool morning run….It was so dark that we did not see the fog! Here is what went down:

YHC decided an old trusty route with a twist was in Order so we went over the Railway and down Atlee Station road someone hit a skunk and we smelled this until we took a right on Jeans Grove Drive. We had to back track on Odey Drive to DeWitt, to Cudlipp Ave to Aaroe Dr, down the hill and back at Ashlar Pl back up to Aaroe to Cudlipp. Here was the twist, we took a left to run through the Giles Farm development up to Halifax drive and took this loop around(Thank you Marco Polo for leading this route) to finish at Atlee high school with 4 miles.

This was a tough route with many long hills due to the direction we ran this morning, great workout and Marco Polo took a spill near the end so we stopped, recovered and finished strong.

  • Old but New Route

5 Davillians enjoyed some cooler temp for a new running route for most.

Route: Access road behind the schools, through Honey Meadows to the Kings Charter cut through. Left on Kings Charter drive to the entrance. Cross Atlee Station and take the sidewalk to Madison Springs (for five miles) and Chickahominy Oaks (for four miles).

Five Miles to the second left onto Stags Leap Dr then right on Deer Stream Dr. Turnaround at the end of Deer Stream up the hills the right on Sunny Oak into Summer Duck and a loop around that neighborhood. Cross back over Altee Station into Taylor Farms, cross Honey Meadows onto the exit row out of Chickahominy MS, cross infront of the school, loop around the bus loop, then back to Atlee HS

Four Miles straight on Deer Stream Dr, turnaround at the end, back to the enterance, take right back on the sideway to Taylor farms, then same way back as five miles minus the bus loop

YHC use to run the loop 3 years when training for the half marathon it was good run it again. The PAX talked about making Thursday run the new Monday. Stay tune!

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • 2 + 2 Tomato Run

Two initially showed up for a Monday morning Tomato Run. Started @ 5:30 for the King’s Charter Route. When YHC and Trout were running behind Atlee HS we ran into 2 more(No Idea and Mudface) that had started in King’s Charter they kept on their route for 4 miles. We continued to Farmhouse loop and on the way back went to a new access road in Honey Meadows development. We returned to the front of Chickahominy Middle school for 4 total miles.

We waited until 6:15; however, YHC had to go so we talked about our route and pace then loaded up for home.
