The Whole Fist

A naughty 19 descended upon UR commons to tackle copious hills.  4, 5 and 6 milers covered similar routes extending up to Three Chopt and back.  The route was a familiar one but no less forgiving.  Great work by all.

Announcements:

  • TClaps to Bootleg and Pipeline for their recent completion of a half-marathon.  Way to go fellas!
  • Labor Day convergence at 3-Lakes park.  See Lab Rat for directions.  Best start preparing for the long drive to North East Henrico county.
  • Wednesday Hill Run (at Hillcrest) followed by get together at TYAs for some pre-BRR banter.  All are welcome.

    Taxing to say the least.

I feel MARV was unusually harsh to me this morning….consider my feeling hurt.

I need a new head lamp. That run was dark.

I may need a new headlamp as well. Holding it in my hand after my headband fell apart or disconnected or whatever sucked. Maybe it’s time to upgrade to the Sippy Cup approved donglamp.

That was a good, hilly, sweaty run. Great work guys.

Either it was the weather or the Summer of Splinter has caught up to me. That was downright brutal. I was kicking myself for suggesting Bostic as a bonus hill for Swirly, Gomer, and Sparrow. Looking forward to some cooler weather so I can feel good about my running again.

Saab – for someone who hates Q’ing runs, you certainly enjoyed yourself today.

Splinter: Its there if you want it.

Who can say no to that?

That is a tough route for sure. 6 milers were crushing it today!

Good Crikey! I hadn’t been to a run in a while and I thought I was in store for a leisurely jog through Richmond’s second favorite private institution behind Mary Mumford Elementary. Saab and Swirley had other plans. I was simply hanging on. Thanks for pulling me through fellas.
