A generational blend of X’s and Z’s ventured onto the First Watch campus for a beatdown mixed with movie quotes, spring break destinations and other quality conversation gems that will remain discreet and anonymous. Here is how things went down.
5.30 strikes, lets mosey. Handshake coming in hot, let us circle back to collect. Down the dark path to the church parking lot, honoring various burpee traditions. Mosey around to the front of the church for introductions and disclaimers. Warm ups were in cadence and conversation with a few Dead Man Hangs, Invisible Jump Rope, Ukrainian Soldiers, Copperhead Squats, Merkins and DQ’s. Let us move along.
Mosey to the main church lot for escalating 4 corners – brocode style utilizing the entire parking lot. 1st corner – 10 merkins; Corner 2 – 10 merkins, 20 WWII’s; 3rd corner – 10 merkins, 20 WWII’s, 30 squats; 4th corner – 10 merkins, 20 WWII’s, 30 squats, 40 monkey humpers.
Wosey to the church steps. Partner 15’s. Timer runs to the dumpster performs 15 merkins, runs back to the stairs while partner performs LBC’s. Switch, with timer running to dumpster performing 14 merkins and so on. Everyone runs together to complete the last single merkin.
Mosey to the side parking lot for 11’s. Donkey Kicks and Squats with lunges between both to and fro.
Mosey BTTVF for quick 4 corners around the lot. 10 jump squats, 20 CDD, 30 mountain climbers, 40 SSH’s. Perfect timing for Names, Numbers, Prayers (Fireman Ed, Fudd’s Sister, those who are currently on IR), announcements (Chili cookoff). Kubota took us out.
NMS: Great way to start the cool morning. Hutton was the early riser by getting in some broga on the frozen tundra. YHC was called out for performing a perfectly executed 3 point turn getting into the lot. Always enjoy a conversation heavy beatdown with good laughs, lite jogging and little counting. Enjoy the libations fellas. Grill or cook until the bacon is cooked but not crisp. Plenty more if refills are requested. Always enjoy getting together.
