We do’s what we do’s when we do’s it right!
11 brave souls met on the rainy gridiron football field to leave it all out there for the football gods. Some say this was the BOS game we needed… others needed the rain to hide the tears of defeat.
6 v 5; First team (Warby, Crabgrass, Fandango, Matlock, Pad Thai, and Cookie) struck first with an EASY TD… like butter!
Then, after crying, we sat 1 player so 5 v 5 was available. Second team (Rudy, Flyboy, Hei-Hei, Da Bear, & Festivus) proved their hearts by scoring on dink and dunk passes in the middle with a few throws down field. They began to make it rain TDs in the rain. Warby’s team was in trouble.
Some Highlights:
- Festivus, Fandango, and Da Bear all had key interceptions that helped their teams.
- Flyboy & Rudy were dangerous behind the defense scoring TDs. Pad Thai was the counter to that and recieved some very beautiful passes with amazing catches like Lynn Swann.
- Hei-Hei and Festivus were very elusive souls weaving this way and that sharing a bond on “hot potato” with the rock. Warby The Wizard was open just about every time to counter that magic spell.
- Crabgrass, not the noodle arm as reports suggest, hit a few deep passes to Pad Thai.
- Rudy was a machine through the whole game until the end where the machine breaks down and causes an ill-timed pass that was batted down, leading to a score that eventually led to the winning TD.
- Matlock and Cookie were defensive magicians knocking down balls… and footballs.
In the end, the good guys won 6-5 (kinda a precursor to the beginning of the game numbers of players) with a Fandango GAME WINNING TD CATCH reminding them of the 2025 BOS Champion!
COT: Rudy’s charity was a success to help out kids.
