Try resetting the ground…

7 men chose not to succumb to the fartsack this morning and showed up for a run in the cold rain. This is what transpired…

Ran the carillon route, 6 and 5 mile options in reverse direction from what Lockjaw first introduced. Others ran and out and back along Grove for a 3-4 mile run.

Moleskin:
There was a bit of irony in trying to avoid the puddles as we exited MM. By the time we all were at the half-mile mark we were all pretty well saturated from head to toe. YHC was working to keep up with Sippy for the first mile, where he clocked us at a sub-7 minute pace. Sippy in-turn stated he was working to keep up with me, so at that point we dialed it back a bit.

On our return trip we saw Circle K and TYA, but Swirly disappeared. It was only until later we discovered he charted his own route. Still not certain if he got lost or it was his preference to return through Windsor Farms, but kudos to him for getting more distance in.

When we returned, it was fun standing in the rain shouting instructions to Lugnut on how to jump a car battery. We had to “shout” of course because none of us were going to stand close enough to provide any physical assistance nor endanger ourselves.

    Way to work gentlemen!

I yelled Omaha at the line of scrimmage (i.e., the entrance to ACAC) and hung a right into the gym. I ran into Rosie walking in. We got our miles in (and Rosie was getting them at a fast pace). I kept waiting for him to face plant a la T. Swift, but he stayed upright…and dry. I was reminded just how boring the gym and the treadmill are.

Great job this morning fella’s – that’s about as wet as we have ever been on a run – felt like twenty pound shoes….
Hey Lug recheck the ground….. That was excellent standing there in the rain – know idea what bleeder was referring to but we all yelled it @ Lug πŸ™‚ Glad that sucker got started !
Yep had to put in an extra mile through Windsor Farms since BT showed me the way last week…. It’s not that I was not paying attention to the instructions πŸ™‚

As I lay in the fartsack this am, listening to the rain pound on the roof while the remnants of red wine pounded in my head, I just knew you were going to run the Carillon route. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to yell at Lugnut and escort Swirly. Well done, gents.

Zero pairs of dry shoes remaining. Still perplexed how swirly got back to Windsor farms. As we neared the carrillion, I had relayed the route once again to him. Great run though…. Never been wetter

Good run guys. A special thanks to Circle K for the jump start and advice from the rest of the pax to turn off the wipers was priceless. Oh yeah, I think Bleeder’s bionic knee is ok. I should have known it was a setup from “I’m going to be real slow” comments.
