15 of Westhoe’s greatest braved this cold windy Tuesday morning and tried to keep warm with a lot of movement. This including 3 teenagers in shorts: Joey Chesnutt, Mariner and Handshake. According to Handshake’s rock hard nipples, we did something like the following:
13 of us went to the football field at 5:30 and soon were joined by Fudd and Full House. We did some warmups of SSH, Uranian Soldiers, Copperhead Squats, LBCs, WW2, Merkins and maybe some other stuff.
We then went for a preview of everyone’s favorite Christmas Movie Die Hard and hit the Ridge. We did 2 sets of exercises at the bottom, ran to the top and did SSH until the six reached the top. Then we went back down for some more. 1st set was 20 HRM and 20 WW2, 2nd was 20 Merkins and 20 Heals, 3rd was 20 Wide Merkins, 20 Dollies, 4th was 20 Chuck Norris and 20 Rosalitas and the 5th was ten burpees. The hill won’t fully transform into Nakatomi Plaza until late December.
We walked down the hill one last time and then moseyed back to the football field. There we did my favorite Double Quarter Pounder. First set was 25 HRM at the 25, 50 LBC at the 50, 75 single count Mountain Climbers and 100 SSH, bernie back to the goal line each time. Second set was 25 Merkins, 50 Hammers, 75 Squats and 100 single count Freddies.
With a little time left, we hit the benches and did a Lindsey of 30 dips/10 bench kicks, to 20/20 and then 10/30. Then back to the flag for some Mary of LBC, Suzanne Sommers and WW2. 1.2 miles today which is about average for this AO.
Announcements: The Bridge this Saturday with EF Hutton, Thanksgiving at Mary Mumford. Joey’s hotdogs for lunch today at noon.
Big thanks to all who served and currently serving. Prayers to the Correll family and all those fighting cancer.
“Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone.” But I am grateful that is not the case with this group.
