  • Bucking Tradition

Given the option of a traditional beatdown vs. some stupid fun, the answer was obvious.  Six men did the following.

Mosey around the PCES parking lot and out to the soccer field.

    COP

    • Don Quixotes
    • Imperial Walkers
    • Jazzercises
    • Arm Circles
    • Overhead Claps
    • Michael Phelps
    • Copperhead Squats
    • Heels to Heaven
    • Suzanne Somers L/R
    • Hand Release Merkins
    • Plankorama
    • SSHs

Mosey to the basketball court US map

    Stupid Fun # 1

    Bottle Flip

    • Hold plank and take turns attempting to land a bottle flip – 10 Merkins per miss for entire PAX, dish out 10 Burpees for a hit x 2 rounds

    Mosey to the playground

    Stupid Fun # 2

    Buckethole (Various exercises between turns)

    • Bag on the ground – 10 Jump Squats for PAX
    • Bag hits the bucket – 10 WWIIs for PAX
    • Bag in the bucket – Dish out 10 Burpees to PAX (1 by Trout, Blue Moon?, Surf n Turf?)

Mosey over to the baseball diamond

    Stupid Fun # 3

Home Run Derby (On Deck and In the Hole rotate exercises)

    • Ball in the air over the “fence” – Burpees for PAX while batter trots around the bases
    • Swing and a miss – Batter does Burpees and gets mocked
    • Anything else – SSHs

Collect all equipment and mosey back to Flag

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

As YHC posed the question for a traditional workout or some games, Blue Moon was the lone holdout for traditional F3, while the majority was all in for some fun.  Due to the PAX’s ineptitude many merkins and squats were performed, nonetheless.  YHC isn’t much of a pitcher so the homer tally was few, but kudos to Trout and Spit for showing real power.  Anyone know the precise measurement of water for a regulation bottle flip?  Asking for a friend.  Thanks for the warm welcome.  Keep touring.

    The Tour ’24 continues

  • WestHoe Takeover?

Two bros rolled out their mats to limber up and find some enlightenment. House party was a happy participant to YHC’s novice brogaship, NTB popped in for a brief Shavasana.

  • You Talked About What in Middle School?

    Stretched, mumblechattered, bodily functioned, shavasana’d.

  • Chafing Season

Get your Body Glide for Her, it’s chafing season.  Here’s where it occurred, other than my groin:

    The Route

    • L on Windingridge and continue on Hickoryridge
    • L on Falconbridge

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

Rip your sleeves off and put the guns on display.  As the great Nelly once said, it’s getting Hot in Herre.  Summer is a coming, so is humidity, and so is the TOUR.

    MOLESKIN

Lots of mumblechatter pertaining to streaking, Cox, and tool mishaps.  Some of the Pax circled the tip of the Cox a couple of times just for the heck of it.  All enjoyed the hills.  Handshake got chased by a pack of Clydesdale groupies.

GTE – still time to sign up

  • Aircraft Carrier Landing

Rather than explain today’s route, YHC ran out front and signaled each turn as if directing a fighter jet landing at sea.  Here’s where we landed:

    The Route

    • R on Pump
    • L on John Rolfe
    • R at Rico’s and through the woods to TLL
    • Loop around the TSI building and out Little League Drive
    • L on Copperas
    • L on Ridgefield
    • R on Old Prescott and back to the Shovel Flag
    • Loop of Godwin for those out front

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

No new roads added to the repertoire this week, but some off-roading added a little spice.  Slightly disappointed the PAX didn’t have to go full Parkour exiting the TLL complex.  Wally and Lulu said enough of your rambling and called the COT to a close.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    • GTE – still time to sign up
    • Good luck to the Monument 10k-ers
  • Bash Bros Visit the Alamo

Handshake put out a signal, YHC answered.  Can’t have Canseco without McGwire or the one guy from Mighty Ducks 2 without the other depending how old you are. Twelve guys wondered which Bash Bros would show.

    Here’s what transpired:

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

The Bash Bros like to shake it up from time to time.  Though YHC is semi-regular at the Alamo, its always great to see new faces and new territory.  The Alamo dudes are most excellent.  Once you’ve done this thing a while, you quickly realize its not the AO or the workout, it’s the PAX that keep you coming.   No signs of the elusive ghost flag so far this month.  Watch your back though.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    • Checkout slack for a great charitable cause opportunity
    • Lots of VQs SOJ next week
  • Finding New Hills

The Currahee PAX has come to expect that an EF Hutton route is probably a little complex so best to just follow on foot.  Here’s where they went:

    The Route

    • R on Pump
    • R on Ridgefield
    • R on Raintree
    • R on Cherrywood
    • L on Cedarbluff

    • L on Gayton again
    • R on Raintree
    • L on Maremont or Windbluff and back to the Shovel Flag

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

YHC found a new loop south of Gayton, but damn those hills.  A proper amount of suck so YHC isn’t tempted to run it again.  Lesson of the day, use spell check.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    • GTE – still time to sign up
    • Prayers for Doozy’s uncles
  • SpiderBreak

YHC grabbed the Q en route to the AO.  It was recited on the fly.  All but TYA stuck with YHC.  Here’s where we went:

Baseball, sciatica, accounting, nicknames were just a few of the topics discussed.  Awesome seeing TYA running again.  To the spring breakers, you were missed and you suck.
