  • Leave One Man Behind

Rather than leading blindly, YHC called in Doozy for a big assist.

Here’s where he suggested we go as best I can figure:

    • R on Midlothian
    • R on Woolridge
    • L on Walton Park Rd
    • L on Queensgate Rd
    • R on Watch Hill Rd
    • L on Walton Park Rd
    • R on Woolridge back to VSF (4s)
    • L on Woolridge (5s)
    • L on trail at Midlothian Mines Park continue through tunnel (5s)
    • Exit trail onto Grove Hill Rd up “Mt. Midlo” back VSF (5s)

    MOLESKIN

One last tour stop for YHC, might as well go out with a bang and Q it.  Except that Qing a run without proper reconnaissance might just get someone killed.  Thanks again to Doozy for the help.  Good numbers despite the launch at Green Mile and nice to catch up with Rosie, House Party, Bullseye and others.  Thanks also for the hospitality.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    • Lifting up DD
    • Last few days to check off those final Summer Tour stops
  • I Hate That Route

As the slogan goes, when EF speaks people listen.

    Here’s where we went:

    • R on Ridgefield
    • L on Cox
    • L on Spinning Wheel

    • R on Crowncrest
    • R on Pump
    • L on John Rolfe
    • L on Glen Eagles (hit a couple of side streets if you’re nasty)
    • L on Old Prescott (quick dip on Old P Court)
    • Back to VSF

    MOLESKIN

No Q on the sheet, Pinto suggested Figure 8, YHC shot it down.  I believe Lighthouse suggested Copperas, YHC shot it down.  Pigskin suggested a Hot Potato, YHC again shot it down.  YHC suggested the covered bridge, no one shot it down.  No canine companions today.  Some brilliant ideas for the Pickleball Tourney prize were contemplated.  Happy Friday.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    • 2nd F WestHoe lunch Tuesday – Firehouse Subs
    • Pickleball Tourney
  • Didn’t Drink Water Til I Was 14

YHC gave State Farm the option, fun and games or see who pukes first. Wiser heads prevailed, but hooping one on one for an hour nearly brought the puke anyway. Toss in a few poorly thrown routes on the Gridiron and the day was complete. Series was tied 1-1, to be decided another day. The seldomly heard of Perpetual Q rule was invoked at R&R, nearly the same at Iron Bridge, but State Farm was not convinced to abandon ship. Thanks for coming out and making it a fun morning. Hydrate if you must.

One can question the sanity of guys who choose to workout at 0500, but those who choose to do so in the summer at 1800 leave no question.  The blacktop is hot and there simply is no escaping it.  Glad all survived.  Stay hydrated.  Thanks to the Crossing regulars for the warm, err hot, welcome.  WestHoe Takeover continues.

Per Wildcat, the sound of the sprinkler is oddly similar to the sound one makes after digesting fast food fish.  The PAX was fearful what might happen when he was duckwalking around the circle.  Thankfully nothing further to report.  Nancy Lopez suggests renaming PAX that show up once per month Aunt Flow, probably better than Menopause though.  WestHoe Takeover week continues.

Senor Frog, Whitesnake, and 1-800 will riot if YHC calls any further Bernies this month.  Never skip leg day I say.  Fun to lead on the fly sometimes, give it a go if you have not before, of course that’s standard procedure for many a Q.  YHC is looking forward to the next Whitesnake movie quadrilogy of workouts.  Police Academy?  Fast and Furious?  Saw?

Great to have Whitesnake lose his FW virginity, though he’ll have to come back to explore the taint.  As the PAX moseyed down Westham there was an oddly awesome looking object shooting across the sky.  Theories ranged from comet to an airplane through fog to an alien invasion.  Alas the US Space Force confirmed it was Elon Musk rocketing away from your mom’s house.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

Convergence tomorrow at Forrest Hill Park

  • Should’ve Known

With Oyster vacating and Hitchhiker a week removed from baby 3, YHC should’ve known pickleball was a long shot.  No lessons were learned from Bulkhead’s solo outing a week ago.  YHC did a workout deemed too hard for Iron Pax.  Trust me on that one.
