    With the TES parking lots being re-blacktopped, the PAX had to make alternative parking arrangements.  With only 3 regulars and one downrange guest, parking was not a problem.  Glow from Greensboro was relieved to find out Hoedown is not a running AO.  YHC planned to get Faceplant in on the Q but had too much fun running the show.  Plenty of holes on the Q sheet, grab a slot.

    Forgive me PAX for I have sinned, it has been 1,288 days since my last No Toll Q, shameful.  All jokes aside, it was awesome to be back at No Toll and lead.  YHC swears he used to be there and do that all the time.  Then SpiderRun became too convenient.  Always fun to see old faces, meet new ones, and have a familiar face pop up.  Someone commented that YHC must be angry today.  I was going to joke that if I wanted to kill the SOJ guys I’d have sent Pigskin to Q, but he was there, so perhaps guilty by association.

    Good to have Olaf visiting from Houston, though he could have left the heat and humidity there.  Very few complaints from the PAX this morning apart from inconsistency in which vehicles were crossovers vs. SUVs, particularly CRVs.  If YHC had had time to prepare, blocks would have been brought along to smash whenever a Volvo was spotted.

    Blood was spilled, sweat was poured, tears maybe.  Today marked the first Monday of the Inaugural First Annual F3RVA Pickleball league.  Here’s how it went down.

    Pickleball is every bit as fun as they say.  Also more dangerous than they say, at least for YHC.  Scrapes and blood to prove it.  YHC encourages the PAX of RVA to give it a try.  Someone has to step up and give Bleeder and McEnroe a real opponent.  YHC was thrilled to win one.

    Five warriors hit the mean streets of Godwin. Three ran hills on and off of Glen Eagles. Two moseyed to parts unknown.

  • Breaking Bread Metaphorically

    YHC and 2.0s cooked up pork tenderloin, mixed up some pasta salad, and whipped up some perfectly set banana pudding. YHC’s attempts to deliver good tidings, cheer, and some perfectly timed dad jokes were met with some resistance, so the food was dropped and on our way YHC and PAX went. There was no breaking, nor any bread, but you get the picture. IB volunteer hours were also completed.
