Down the River
Two watermen enjoyed the nearly non-existent current for a quick paddle. Upstream and back. The river was low with great visibility. Peaceful!

It started as three and with a little convincing a couple of walkers were persuaded to the boot camp.

Friday the 13th
A cool dozen came for promises of simple and flat routes and were not disappointed. Considering the double barrel of hills last week, today’s long open stretches were a nice change.
East on Grove, cut over to Floyd and eventually head north on Strawberry, Vine, and Harrison respectively. Back on Hanover and make your way back to Grove via Thompson.

Simpson’s Three Headed Fish
Wait? Another Lockjaw Q?
Today’s route was a non-hilly as possible considering the abundance of hills last week. Off we went around the lake, through the trail and to College. Up Lakewood to Wood to Waveny to Westham. Ascend the hill to Patterson and head east.
4s turn on Ridgetop, 5s on St Chris, and 6s on Libbie. Routes were a little short today. You are welcome.

Have Your Best Day Ever
Was written in chalk on the sidewalk from which we launched. A lucky 7 runners and 2 walkers headed into the fog for an eerie start to the Halloween season.
West on Grove to Granite and pick off the Snake River route for the rest of Richmond’s hills. A second serving of hills for those who ran Spider Run. The Tempsford hills never disappoint.
Marv had his best day ever tackling hills with the speed of a beast.

Jigsaw
Up the hill and through the country club we went. A quick bounce down Three Chopt to explore the darkness and hills south of Cary St. Down and up, down and up, and down and up. 4s/5s returned the way they came and 6s took Maple to Patterson to Honaker and back.

Skunk Butt Rug
Brief mumble chatter until the route was called and off we went on Reverse Carillon. Great conversation along the way, and even a Sippy Cup spotting.
At one point on the route we almost stepped on what looked like a skunk pancake. If anyone was going to make contact with the remnants, it would be Marv.
