  • Cris Cross Atlee

4 Davillians got on Tuesday morning get it the early week miles

Route including looping behind the schools into Taylor Farms, cross over Atlee station for the path into Summer Duck, cross over into Chickahominy Oaks, up and down the hills of the neighborhood, turn around back the way we came back up to Atlee Station. Option was give at that point either run against traffic or with it down Atlee Station to the newest entrance into Giles Head down to the trails of Giles to come out just pass the traffic circle. Do a loop around the Giles Hill then back to the Atlee Station and cross over to finish with about 4.5 miles (Marco Polo put in some extra to get 5)

Was a great day for a run

Run was just around 5 miles that included roads around the rappahannock river.

Great mumble chatter about life, kids, and the landscape.

  • What’s a recovery route?

5 Davillians arrived at Rutland clubhouse to see what Marco Polo had in mind for a “recovery run”

Marco Polo and YHC both signed up for the 10k Challenge for the monument 10k which meant we had to run a 10k twice within a week. YHC got his done last Saturday but Marco Polo ran his on Monday so today was a “recovery” run.

Bulkhead and Opus did their own thing since Bulkhead could only run for 30 mins

The rest of PAX got in the Rutland/Cool Spring Forest trail loop for 4.25 at 8:30 pace

Well I guess that is a “recovery” run when you run a 48:50 10k on Monday

  • College Reunion

5 Davillians including a FNG got in their first post Half Marathon run on Tuesday.

Marco Polo went out on his own route for a little 10k training route prep for Sunday

For the rest of the PAX, plan was to take it easy and run two laps around the school for a 3.5 mile run. Well the loops were completed but not at a slow pace. Our FNG Speakeasy (Craig) kept the pace moving.

YHC arrived surprised to see our FNC today. Speakeasy and YHC first meet back in our college years 15+ years ago. His girlfriend (now wife) at the time was a roommate of friend my YHC’s. YHC had spoke about F3 year go when Speakeasy was still living in the city. Thanks to a long delayed second EHing from Bulkhead we finally got him out

Speakeasy gets his time due to the fact he is a lawyer for the Virginia ABC

Welcome and look forward to him being a regular soon!
