  • Not the death run

    10 men came out for a run. All right turns at Pump, Raintree, Falconbridge, (not ridge) and Pump. YHC had proposed a death run on Gayton, but fortunately that was vetoed.

  • Round and Round We Go

    8 men gathered in the Misty gloom (with Gloom) to run to Short Pump Park where we ran around the loop while doing different exercises from Salt Lick’s huge cardboard Wiki. (Had to reduce the count by 50% after the first two exercises). Hit the 3 mile mark and gloom struggled a bit with the humidity. Prayers for Pinto’s colleague going through tough times.

  • Back to School

    8 men got together on a gloomy misty morning to return to school. After warmup subjects were English: Alphabet with our feet, Science: Monkey Humpers, Bear Crawls, and Crabwalks, Math: 7’s, Gym with a simulated Presidents Physical Fitness and Dodgeball where Joey Chestnut had an epic “Elf” style hit; History: with the Bataan Death Crawl and some El Chapos, lunch break with Erkins, Durkins, and Tap Dances, and an unusually long Sex Ed class at the end. Prayers for healing and for brining the best version of ourselves foward.

  • Care Bears Ripping Discs

    10 men came together at the Forge for some fun with discs and burpees.

    The Thang

    Pledge, run around the parking lot, warm up with SSH, Good Mornings, Michael Phelps

    Indian Run down to the court for a round of care bear square with 25 burpees, 25 merkins, 25 squats, and 25 BBS

    Then to the football field in pairs with one PAX throwing a disc as far as he could while the other PAX did 3 exercises per every 10 yards on the way back after retrieving the discs including: hand release merkins, squats, and burpees.

    Q Tip: Listening is a key leadership principle: “Tell me more”, repeating the last word, and repeating back the words said are effective ways to improve the skill.

  • Tell Me More

    12 men gathered at Heartbreak to grown as leaders.

  • Resilience

    12 men came out to focus on resilience. There was sledding, 100 burpees, pearls on resilience and 10 Minnesota Burpees which include 15 degrees or less, no shirt, and snow.

  • Back to school

    7 men came together for a back to school workout. Prayers for Taters dad.

  • Overshare

    Eight men came together to dominate the midwie hump. It did ten loops around the parking lot, with increasing numbers of exercises. BOM at the parking lot. Q tip: tell me more, repeating, and taking a breath are great strategies for active listening. Prayers for taking the high road.

  • I get knocked down

    warm up with pledge of allegiance, followed by ten SSH, ten good mornings and ten don.Quixote. three burpees as part of a batan death crawl. 10 burpees paired with monkey humpers. Then a set of them 10 burpees. As a timer with side straddle hops, what flutter kicks and squats times three. Q tip: the higher impact man demonstrates resilience by understanding the bad things happen and focusing his thoughts and actions on positive things that help him to work through the pain and continue to succeed. Then to the wall for some gratitude.Wall sets, followed by hallelujah’s with another ten burpees. Run across the parking lot for another ten burpees. Chumba womba burpees. Then Mary’s.
