  • Miles of Humidity

The three regulars posted for a soupy ‘run’ through Salisbury to Winterfield and back for 4ish miles.

  • Don’t Think Less of Me

Two River Run OGs led the way through the heavy morning mugginess up Twin Team through Powderham around Brigstock to Solstice and back to the start for 4 miles. Battle stories were traded.

  • Solo Salisbury

Did MOT move? Worse yet, cancelled? Hopefully not but as YHC returned from vacation to a desolate start, the darker thoughts emerged. Off we go….Salisbury for some tree cover from the light rain. 4 miles and done.

  • River Run v17

Bullseye and I ran the river run loop 2 times and called it a day. Good stuff. Put it in big data.

  • Last Call

Yes, Last Call made his first showing of fiscal year 2025 at River Run after much previous banter from pax members.

Route – slow and steady, avoid the hills as much as possible, mosey around the high school to River Downs and partially up roller coaster for 4 miles. Doozy added more.

Great to have Last Call join us this week. Hopefully he becomes a regular. Certainly not the lounge he’s accustomed to at Bettie Weaver as was pointed out. Way to go.

  • Tannins and Tech

4 south side regulars ascended on River Run for an OG River Run route – Robious park parking lot loop back to Bettie bus loop, repeat once for 4 miles.

Conversation was plentiful as we made our way back and forth to the park. Good to have OC back in the mix.

  • Tres Amigos Run

Up twin team, through Powderham over to Brigstock and Mt. Hill, return to school. 4.5 miles in total.

  • The Captive Kevin Run

Not too much to report, good crew out this morning for River Run. Flatter route was chosen, out and back from Bettie to River Downs and up to Roller Coaster. OC rucked around somewhere.

Thoughts and prayers for Kevin, OC’s deck contractor, who may feel the wrath of a woman scorned if he doesn’t get his act together soon.

  • River Run Lads

Three regulars descended from the vehicles and took off around Bettie Weaver for a holiday inspired route.

Four milers – continuous clover leaf type turns in the neighborhoods surrounding Bettie and James River HS until YHC was ready to head back.

One-armed leprechaun- hill repeats on Twin Team.

Thought of the route on the quick jaunt over to the site, something like a clover but in review really not at all. Appreciated the time this morning with Doozy has he placed a 25 lb pack on and still dragged YHC around a better clip than normal. Maybe it was the many Guinness consumed this weekend. Still, my ‘pack’ is much heavier than 25 pounds, so I’ll stick with that excuse. Bullseye slow paced Mt. Sisyphus, t-claps to him.

    Happy St. Paddy’s Day

  • Pi Day

Empty parking lot, that fart sack was feeling pretty nice a few minutes before YHC arrived at the site. Oh well, solo workout commenced. Couple miles logged, track work at the high school, bleacher runs (new one for YHC), back to Bettie for some additional creative ground and pound. End workout.

The Lounge was lonely today, hope to see more out in the future. Maybe we need a text thread for the locals to generate some buzz on a weekly basis, just a thought. This has worked in other locations. Who’s the site Q anyway?
