  • Scrap the triangle

5 guys, at least one confused, were at Dogpile on Saturday am to pick up the leftovers from the Frozen Triangle cancellation. It’s ironic that the Frozen Triangle was reschedued because it was frozen.

We joined in with Dr. Try Hard’s rucking crew for the first few exercises. They then left us to do their version of the triangle and we constructed a hot potato Q.

Sippy cup leading. Animal walks and merkins/legwork to center of circle.

Blank Space leading. Lunges and misc. exercises in circle.

Gumbo leading. 4 corners on the field.

Bootleg/Luigi leading. 3s–three trees in a line, with exercises both ways including Burpees.

Sippy Cup. Mosey around to a non-icy spot for some shadow kickboxing.

    Head back to the Flag.

    COT: Bootleg took us out.

  • Hard 75

7 grown-boys came out in (nearly) single digit weather this morning at The Alamo. Fun fact: There are exactly 75 days between the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft. My wife and I have used that window to execute a Hard 75 for the past two years and today marks Day 1 of Year 3. Lots of 7’s and 5’s to celebrate!

WARMARAMA – Pax stayed in vehicles until 5:29. Moseyed to the other side of the shoe for some stretching.

    COP #1: MATH

    5×15 = 75…not 80. (15) Merkins at (5) different spots in the neighborhood.

    3×25 = 75. Facts. (25) APD’s at (3) different spots in the neighborhood

    COP #2: Tennis court shenanigans

Getting up and ready for the workout this am was an inner peace and was able to reflect what needs to happen this week.

I look forward to seeing others in the gloom soon. Cheers….CB!

  • I Can’t Feel My Face

Two regulars conversed with the other regular only to find Doozy was still in banana hammock mode on his return from vacation. YHC confirmed somewhere around the third quarter of the game (anyone else watch?) I would be attending the run.

Route – Winterfield to Elmstead to Oakengate to Castleford to Kingsmill to Salisbury back to the start. 4 miles total.

It was a balmy 12 degrees at the start. YHC hoped for the 5:00 AM confirmation text was met with a ‘not today’ but that’s not the Bullseye way. All in all a good run, looking forward to warmer mornings soon.

  • Beavers Ruck & Run FT

1 eager Beaver emerged from the gloom for a ruck & run mash up. These were done for time. Ruck 2 miles, drop off the ruck sack at the flag and run 1 mile.

  • A Proper Country Club Experience

70 and Sunny as Three terrific Tabata troubadours slung iron and dodged black ice at the world’s finest outdoor track.

The MumbleChatter was strong, and the following critically important things happened:

    • Faceplant discovered that tights do, in fact, keep you warmer.
    • Applesauce shared tips for Olympian-approved tips for improved ski jump (and bedroom) performance
    • Dunkin Donuts Super Bowl commercial was voted the favorite of the Pax, followed by the Pepsi/Coldplay Polar bears.
    • Virtues of various ski camps were evaluated (as one does at a country club)
    • The Pax did good work, getting in the full run distance, lawnmower pulls, squats , curls, swings, deadlifts, and a round of Mary.

Numbers/names to finish…thanks to the Hitch and Faceplant for getting out of the fartsack and bundling up for the last frigid morning for a while.
