  • Fashionably Late

Seven of DaVille’s finest, including 2 who made it to the AO before 5:30 AM, gathered in the Atlee High School parking lot on this perfect Tuesday morning for running and rucking. The runners ran into King’s Charter for 21 minutes and then returned along the same route in 19 minutes. The distance was about 5.2 miles. The Ruckers rucked around the Atlee High School area.

COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Trail Mix took us out.

    NMS:

We should make it offical DaVille policy that the starting time is 5:33 AM. When YHC pulled into Atlee’s parking lot at 5:30 AM and 30 seconds, there was one rucker and one runner waiting patiently for others to arrive. By the time that BAM! and YHC started their run, 4 more ruckers had arrived. YHC had a principal in high school that used to post the starting time of all events ending in 9. So graduation started at 5:59 PM. That made all of us know that we had to be there before 6 PM. I’ve also been told that an assistant principal from that same high school years observed that students were generally no more than 3 minutes tardy to school. What he did was set the school clock back 3 minutes, and everybody started to arrive on time.

Announcements: The opening of Wong’s Taco continues to dominate the discussion during announcements. A summary of reviews so far appears to be long wait times, understaffed, but the food is outstanding. F3 RVA/DaVille might make a stop there once the crowd slows up some in a few weeks.

A solid sixteen were looking to get covered in pollen in the Gloom. We did:

COP: SSH, Don Qs, Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, Flutterkicks, Scorpion kicks. Mosey down to the front of the track, partner up for 3 rounds of 20 PLTs. Head onto the field for a triple check: HRMs, Reverse Crunch, and run width of field & back.

Over to the Jerkin Gym, into groups of 4: Groups will have two PAX do 10 Jerkins each, while other 2 wheelbarrow back & forth. Switch when 1st group finishes their Jerkins. Repeato x3.

Over to the benches for everyone’s favorite, Benchkicks. 4 sets of 30 BKs and 10 Derkins. Mosey back up to blacktop. Lunge length of lot and do a Burpee each parking spot. Head back same lunge but do 5 Jumpsquats. 2 min of mary and done.

NMS: Offshore shared in the COT that he is taking a position at OU in Normal, OK and will be moving this summer. Sounds like there is a small F3 presence in Norman but we’re sure he will help them grow once he gets out there.

YHC was volun-told to Q this morning thanks to Handshake. A good nudge to get out.

  • Coupons required

Broadway, Pool Boy, and Big Rig joined forces, to take on some EMOM reps with coupons. Lots of Bis, and Tris. We were all ready for the gun show after.

We also had an FNG join us from church who absolutely crushed it. Prior military, works at Dominion, married with a couple of kids. He even shared a story about the Green Turtle bar inside the Caps stadium. We’ll hold off on naming him “Green Turtle”… for now naming comes next week.

Beaver closed us out with a prayer.

  • Artemis

One interstellar traveler shook off the dark side of the Fart Sack to take on the latest edition of The Clinic. Sea temperatures exceeded air temperatures, yet overall conditions remained 70 and sunny. According to the dog walker surprised by a head-lamp wearing sugar cookie, the following might have happened.

Descend the cliff. COP at bottom. Stretch, 50 SSHs x 4 count, DQs, IWs, ‘mercans, etc.

Southbound about a mile, north around the point about 2 miles, and one mile BTT yard arm. Up the cliff.

Number, name, and YHC took himself out.

NMS: YHC talks to himself. It’s an excellent form of stress relief.

Today’s topics included college admissions and Trump portraying himself blasphemously as Jesus (then lying about it). Hegseth claiming to fight for Jesus in war. And, we are fighting Iran, a nation run by people who invoke the same God in the same ways for their cause.

    Moleskin

It’s been a few weeks since YHC made an appearance at Spider Run. After reviewing routes from previous weeks, YHC came up with something we hadn’t seen in a while. Slack disagreement was overblown, everyone enjoyed it.

YHC especially enjoyed seeing the fine mist in the air that was reflected by the headlamp. Quickly realizing it wasn’t mist, but pollen, coughing ensued for the remainder of the run.

    Embrace the day fellas.
