  • Road Trip

It was a cardio themed off campus tour for the 9 PAX at Twin Team. Lounge Management was not pleased…………..but we all made it back alive.

Mosey to back of the school for Warm Up: Walking Arm Circles, Side Shuffles, Minecraft Walk, Knee Pulls, Bernie Mummy Kicks, Butt Kicks. Might have missed a few.

Mosey to the back road and line up: Indigenous People’s Run. Nothing fancy, man in the back sprints to the front. We navigated down the pitch black side walk on Robious Road and turned left into the neighborhood. Right turn and all the way down the the Cul-de-Sac. PAX complete 50 LBC.

Going back up the road: 5 merkins at right side mailboxes, 10 WWII sit-ups at left side mailboxes.

Reform the line and indigenous people’s run to the next intersection. PAX complete 50 Freddy Mercuries.

On the way up the big hill: 5 Squat Pulses at the first mailbox. Add 5 at each additional mailbox. I think we worked up to 60. Run to the top of the false peak and regroup.

Indigenous People’s run down the hill. Stop at the intersection for 50 flutter kicks. Indigenous People’s run out of the neighborhood, right on Robious, stop for 25 incline merkins. Cut through BWES back to the flag as our line gradually disintegrated.

50 dips to finish things off.

Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayer Requests. Last Call took us out.

Final Thoughts: Excellent work by all the PAX this morning! It was great seeing Sin Bin back out. I think this may have been one of Last Call’s all time favorite workouts. We covered a lot of ground and got the heart rate elevated. Until next time……………….

  • The Final Ponch of Winter ❄️➡️☀️

The final Ponch-led beatdown of the winter kicked off under a dark, quiet sky, the kind where the world is still asleep but the stars are putting on a show. It had that calm-before-the-storm feel… and then…

    Man Down.

Mid-mosey, Woodsman went down—sprained ankle, Wounded in Action. Immediate respect to the PAX for rallying, checking on him, and making sure he was squared away. Wildcat came through with the ambulance and doctoral expertise. Woodsman, heal up brother, we’ll hold the line until you’re back. 💪,

The mood started gloomy, dark, a little heavy… but like all good mornings in the gloom, we got to work anyway.

    The Thang

After a brief stretch warm-up, we mosied along and got to what Nancy dubbed it a “Beach Body Workout”… and he wasn’t wrong.

Summer is coming, men. Whether you’re ready or not.

No music. No distractions. Just breath, grit, and the sound of feet hitting pavement.

    🧠 Moleskin

What started as a dark, uncertain morning turned into a reminder:

Even when things don’t start right… you keep moving.

    • We lose a man early → we adapt
    • It’s cold, dark → we push anyway
    • Legs tired → we climb the hill

    That’s the work.

    And those stars overhead? Beauty!

Just a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s still light if you look up.

    🙏 COT

    • Strength prayers for Warby, Swoop, and Crab Grass as they take on their thang this weekend—go get it.
    • Prayers for Woodsman—quick recovery, brother. We’ll be ready when you return.

Honored to lead the final Ponch beatdown of the winter.

Spring’s coming… and so is the next level.

  • When will Wong’s Taco’s Open?

Three runners and one lonely rucker looking for a friend posted to the Tomato Run/Ruck on this perfect Thursday. As the runners took off, they had one lingering question. Sure, March Madness was a topic and the question, “Can Nebraska win it all?” was asked. But all that was on their minds was, “When will Wong’s Tacos open? Sure, we would look on the website and see “March 31, 2026” as the official date, but that’s cheating. Did they have employees yet? Had they organized the kitchen yet? Regardless, excitement is in the community as it gets closer and closer to the opening date.

The Runners did the reverse library/Bogangles loop, Kroger loop, then to Rutland, Cool Spring Forest, and back. The rucker was everywhere looking for a friend.

COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Opus took us out.

    NMS:

Go RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure, Go HOOS!, Cornhuskers, and whoever you are rooting for. Have a great day everybody!

    Gotta Run!

Great work from the PAX.  Some new scenery today, including the renowned Wellsley hill.

God is good all of the time!

    Attila

  • Hare of the Dog

The night before was St. Patty’s, but the fellas understood that if they were drinking then, the only “hair of the dog” they’d receive the morning after would be their Q. An easy mosey into the new neighborhood section and subsequent warm-up gave way to a cinder block workout on the Woodshed’s own version of Satan’s Hill (yet to be named). Trips up and down the hill included a handful of burpees on the descent and rounds of various coupon lifts at the bottom (bicep and tricep curls, bent over rows, and military presses).

Following the hill workout, the PAX did a Triple Check with a shorter run into a cul-de-sac interspersed with goblet squats and flutter kicks. After toting the coupons back to the clubhouse, we finished up with a Circle of Fire.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Nancy Lopez is sponsoring a 5K, the GLOW for Galactosemia, on 4/11 at Robius Landing. Rudy is also raising money for Family Lighthouse (and folks could have signed up for his bracket challenge).

    PRAYERS: to everyone in general.

  • It pays to be on time when you Q

18 Fabulous specimen of the male physique gathered at Godwin HS today for a KB beatdown with Fudd, who used a Weinke and then promptly lost it so…..this is what I remember:

    COP

Lots of stuff: SSH’s, Ukranian Soldiers, Helicopters, Merkins , leg raises, APD’s, inverted scorpion kicks, and some other stuff

Mosey to the bus loop and partner up for a modified Dora:

50 2-count lawnmowers between the team, trade off while other PAX does…..box cutters?

100 Sumo squats, trade off while other PAX does…flutter kicks methinks…..

150 chest press, trade off while other PAX planks.

Run a loop, then mosey to other side of the bus loop for a triple check:

1st round: Timer does Jordans (pass leg underneath leg while you lunge walk) to No Parking sign and back while P2 does curls and P3 does swings.

2nd round: Timer does rifle carry to sign and back while P2 and P3 do clean & press and…….something else.

3rd round: Timer does around the world to the sign, does 5 burpees, and around the world the opposite direction walking back, while P2 does tricep extentions and P3 does flutter kicks.

Mosey back to the flag for a little Mary and then numberama, namerama, YHC took us out.

NMS: Always a pleasure and honor to lead, and today was no different. Good to see some PAX get back out that have been on a sabbatical. YHC arrived super early today (5:27) and got many compliments. Lots of PAX rolled in late, no doubt expecting YHC to have done the same. Coffee courtesy of Offshore was the highlight (as always) and we all appreciate him (and Mr. Rogers) more than we can put into words for their service and the exceptional caffe!

Announcements: March Madness starts today, Upchuck is looking for a Bridge coordinator, and 1 opportunity left for Breaking Bread this month.

    Never stop chasing the wabbit!

NMS:  Solid PAX to run through some of our favorite DTH routines. TClaps to these Forge studs embracing the suck and conquering all these COT’s with great enthusiasm and effort. While bearcrawling the handicap ramp (AKA hadicamp) Snuff noted the brutal hear crawl was better than needing it for a wheelchair. This sentiment of gratitude for the strength and health we enjoy was rolled into the sober reality during COT that none of us can count on tomorrow, and we all ought to do all we can for the time we have today – seek and give forgiveness, put others needs before your own, stop to enjoy the beauty and blessing of moments and margins. Lovely coffeerama followed courtesy of Snuff, with excellent discussion about our 3rd F topics of Prayer and Study. We are better when connected with each other and with a greater power’s accountability and guidance of the What-What. The joyful grand finale on the morning was Scram agreeing to VQ this Saturday at Bon Iron. Let’s GO!!! Yours AYE! ~DTH

  • The NEW Hundred

With a number of regulars otherwise engaged for the evening, Chaplain and YHC enjoyed a bromantic 45 minutes of breathless counting. The festivities began with a half mile lap around the WEAG grounds, stopping briefly to turn in lost car keys to the church office, and finishing with a brand new warmup routine we’ll call “Fence Overs,” which was simply climbing over a wooden fence repeatedly from one end to the other. Circled up with disclaimer and variable standup reps in soggy grass, then moved to dry concrete for the other half of the chest and abbs warmup. Thereafter we commences the all new “NEW HUNDRED” routine, which is like the Old Hundred, except the rep count doesn’t come down by tens, but rather just remains 100 reps per exercise per COP, with a mosey between stops. Exercises included:

    • Monkey Humpers
    • LBC’s
    • Variable Arm movements in Wall chair
    • Incline Merkins
    • SSH’s
    • Flutters
    • Bear Crawl
    • Squats
    • Shoulder Taps
    • Freddie Mercuries
    • Rapid Alternating Toe Taps
    • People’s Chair Hallelujah’s
    • …And likely one or two more YHC is forgetting

The New Hundred was thoroughly enjoyed by all the PAX, and we closed with a prayer and praise Chaplain’s som is recovering well from his recent concussion. Until next time. Yours AYE, DTH
